I LOVE my mail lady...

Hang on to your hat, this is a long winded post....

Have I ever told you how much I love my mail lady .

I am expecting sooooo many parcels this week--- I am going to dance out to the mailbox at the end of our laneway and stand there waiting for her little blue car with the flashing light on top.

My heart will pound oh-so-very-fast when I see her coming and I will be grinning stupidly from ear-to-ear.

Now, you may ask, why this week? why not any other week when you have received your parcels?

Ah, the answer is simple....and maybe you have already guessed the answer.

Hubby is away hunting all day every day this week! Woo hoo!!

Okay - not woo hoo that he is hunting or woo hoo that he is away.....just woo hoo that he won't be stalking the mailbox as usual waiting to see if I bought anything. I mean really, sometimes we have a race to the mailbox and I just can't run as fast as he can drive his 4-wheeler....not fair really.....

This morning was the first morning that I was able to wait at the mailbox and sure enough....the little blue car came down the road with her light flashing right to me! I had a parcel!! Whoop whoop!!! I ran to the house with the box clutched under my coat, and when I saw who it was from, I let out a yelp!

Paper Pretties!! Paper Pretties!! My Paper Pretties order was here!! Wreathabella this month!! I joined their club of Stamping Bellas, so each month I get Bella-in-a-box with all the trimmings - paper, ribbon, and a brilliant idea to go with it - enough supplies to make 6 cards! It is really great!

They also have My Favorite Things in-a-box, Rubber Romance in-a-box, a Copic Club and a Nestabilities club. You should go on over and check it out. There is also a store where you can purchase add-ons if you wish and they will add them to your stamping box that month.

Of course, I had to add something so I added 3 Rubber Romance stamps, some acrylic blocks - I don't think you can have enough of those - a sandpaper file thingy to file down "stuff" (it's cute -what can I say) some ribbon, and the Cuttlebug embossing folder divine swirl!!

Oh, I can hardly wait until the mail comes tomorrow!! - but after this week that ALL I AM GETTING (she said to herself sternly)!!

Okay, onto the card which I did two of with Wreathabella, each with a different layout....speaking of Paper Pretties, last month was Expectafellabella and they had a great layout for that card, and since my brain is pretty well mush this month, I borrowed that sketch!

The base is red bling which is a really nice heavy cardstock to use. I made the scallops on the green glitter paper with my corner rounder. That paper is soooo pretty....it is from Doodlebug Designs and you can get it in several colors....It is sugar coated cardstock -check out their website to see their paper! It's cool!

I layered some DCWV glitter paper on top of that and then adhered my image (which I had just glued to some stock paper I had.

Wreathabella was colored with my copics this time. I love my prisma pencils but there wasn't much shading to be done so I was able to use the copics. I need to practise with those copics, but this week is not the time!!

I tied some ribbon and attached a flower with a glitter brad and it was done. So easy and sweet!

The next card used the same paper just in a different way. I actually thought this one up myself.....I colored Wreathabella little differently and tried to shade the wreath a little. It wasn't too bad.

I heard on other blogs that she was time consuming, but I didn't find her too bad.

You don't have to color in the same place for long because there is a lot of different things.....it was all good!!

Okay, this is the end of this post!

LUCKY YOU!! haha!

  2. I love her! Fabulous card! I love the Bellas, and yet, I don't own any. Doesn't that seem like a crime? I think I'm going to have to do something about that! I'm a new SBS2 sister. If you get a chance, can you add me to your blog roll? Thanks!
