One Fish Two Fish Orange Fish Orange Fish

It's the 20th of the month and that means it''s time for the Dirty Dozen and Dirty Dozen Alumni challenge.

This month our challenge hostess was Christine and here was her challenge!

"A dip in the Lake....the waves on the Ocean, that little creek down the ravine, the warm rain gently falling, a cold glass of water on a hot day...nothing says Spring and Summer like water. This month we're all about H2O!

Challenge Focus: Create a project that has something to do with water, it can be in your stamps, paper, or embellishments. But lets celebrate the happiness of warm weather and refreshing water. Let us know the story behind it too!

Required Element: Watercoloring! If we're doing a water themed project there needs to be some element of watercoloring on your creation.

Restricted Element: If it's H2O that means the two in the equation restricts you to only two embellishments. For example, ribbon and piercing, primas and brads. Focal image shapes like nesties or sizzix die cuts don't count. Let's see how creative you can be with just 2 embellishments girls!"

I am not a watercolorist at ALL but I pulled out my Tombow markers and dabbled a bit with it. Smiley from millan.net

The fish on the left used Tombow's and the fish on the right uses Stargazers metallic watercolours - an VERY old set of paints that I have. I just made sure to spritz them with water about 5 minutes before i wanted to use them.

I studied Debbie Olsen's watercolouring video and tried to make a soft background, but it was kind of a challenge for me....aHA!! ....that's why they call it a challenge....... Smiley from millan.net
