JustRite Christmas Blog Hop!

Good morning and welcome to the JustRite Christmas Blog Hop! Thirty-two fabulous designers from around the world have designed something especially for you with the new JustRite Christmas products!!

You may be coming here from Sheryl's Blog or you can find your way around very easily by clicking on the list at the end of my post! You will want to end up at the JustRite Blog for your chance to win today's blog candy!!

I am very honoured to be apart of the Hop so let's get right to it shall we?

The set I am showcasing today is called Merry Little Christmas Borders & Centers Round 1-5/8”, and is available now in the JustRite Stampers store! It has 10 designer centers stamps and borders and uses the 1 5/8" stamper.

I decided I wanted to make some see-thru Christmas ornaments so that I can start gearing up for that special season!! For my ornament I used the Clear Scraps Snowflake Mini Album.

I started by covering 1/2 of the acrylic snowflake with Crystal Lacquer - I only covered half at a time since I wasn't too sure how fast the Crystal Lacquer would dry. I sprinkled Martha Stewart coarse white glitter on top of the Crystal Lacquer and then did the second half of the snowflake the same way - making sure to leave an area of unglittered acrylic in the middle.

I set that aside and then stamped the snowflake from Merry Little Christmas Borders & Centers onto a clear sheet with Versamark and heat embossed it with detail silver embossing powder.

I stamped the border from the Merry Little Christmas Borders & Centers onto Fancy Pants designer paper with Versamark and also heat embossed it with detail silver embossing powder.

I cut both the JustRite snowflake and the border out with Spellbinders Classic Circles.

Then I began to assemble my ornament.

I put a dollop (very technical term!) of Crystal Lacquer on top of the silver embossed snowflake and pressed the Clear Scraps acrylic glittered snowflake directly down onto the lacquer making sure the middle area was in the middle........ahem.....and moved it around just a tich to remove the air bubbles - I ended up with a couple of air bubbles and it made it look like the old glass that we used to have in our windows -- happy surprises!!

It was easy to just adhere the border on top of the glitter since it was still a little damp from the Crystal Lacquer.

Now, if you hold your ornament up you can see right through the middle of and it looks like stain glass without the colour - ooooooo - that opens up so many possibilities!!

I hope you enjoyed my part of the hop and if you have any questions, please feel so VERY free to e-mail me and I will try to answer them!!

Now, if you are following along in the HOP, please continue along to Mary's fabulous creation or just pop in on any of the links below to see how these fabulous designers have worked their magic at the JustRite Christmas Blog Hop!!
