This is Day Three of the sneak peaks for Waltzingmouse Stamps new sets being released! Two new sets, Free Spirit-Boy and Free Spirit Sentiments are being released on April 1st when we will be having a pre-release blog waltz starting at 2 PM est!

Today my card again focuses on the male grad - bringing to light the year of the graduating class!

I punched out some stars and added buttons for a bit of added interest! The numbers and the sentiment "CLASS OF" are from the Free Spirit - Sentiments set which is full of fun and funky sayings!

Be sure to tag around to the following designers blogs for their previews of these new Waltzingmouse Stamps stamp sets!

Awesome Wow!!

Woo hoo!! It's time for another Waltzingmouse Stamps Sneak Peek!! Two new sets, Free Spirit-Boy and Free Spirit Sentiments are being released on April 1st when we will be having a pre-release blog hop starting at 2 PM est!

I have a card for today, tomorrow and then for the pre-release blog hop - fun!!

These two new sets will surely help to put an end to all your masculine woes (in cardmaking that is-- hee!!)

I decided to use the circle background stamp on my Making Memories Just Chillin' designer paper! I stamped it in Versamark and then embossed it with white embossing powder - I thought it made quite a dramatic effect on this paper!

I made a sentiment flag and popped it up in the middle with some foam tape and then added the button on the end!

The inside sentiment is also stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder!

Thanks for coming around and make sure you stop at these designer's blogs to catch another glimpse at their previews today!

miss you.....

Here's a little cutie from Stamping Bella that we used when I went to my copic colouring class taught by the amazing Linda Heavens

We learned a lot about shading and such, it was truly informative and holy moley - Linda is too funny! It really was a fun class.... thanks Linda!!

This little gal is called Gracie Lollipop and she is the easiest little sweetheart to colour and even paper piecing would be so simple!

I used Memory Box cardstock for my base which I love because the back is white so you don't have to worry about putting white paper in the middle of you card base, if you are in a hurry - which I usually am!

The patterned paper is from DCWV Citrus Mat Stack 4.5" x 6.5" - full of bright and beautiful colours!

Have a great day! I am looking after our sweet little Robin today while Jake and his mommy have some one on one time.....Oooooo I am one lucky chicken lol!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Good afternoon and welcome to my March Papertrey Ink Blog Hop project! I think I am getting in right under the wire but I was babysitting tonight - tons of fun!

The theme for the hop this month is to use your buttons. I didn't get very original with my creation but I still like it!

I used "Blooming Button Bits" for the flowers and stamped them in Ocean Tides, Hibiscus Burst and a Colorbox green colour on patterned paper....(I was at my daughter's when I made this card - so not sure of the patterned paper or that Colorbox ink colour - sorry)

Using my 1" paper punch, I punched some circles and stamped them with the coordinating colour using "Polka Dot Basics" and used them for the flower centers.

I then added the same colour of buttons to the middle of the flower.

For the base I stamped  one of the images from "Turning a New Leaf", three times in Vintage Cream ink and using my copic W-3, I traced around the leaves creating a shadow.

I used "Polka Dot Basics" again to stamp across the bottom of the card in Vintage Cream and then used the same ink to swipe around the edges of the card base.

I popped up the flowers onto the cardbase and added my sentiment from "Mega Mixed Messages".

Thanks for coming around and have fun at the hop!!

Wishing You......

I have a good friend who celebrated her birthday yesterday and this is the card I made for her special day! (It's in your mailbox Patsy!)

I combined Verve sentiments from "Wishing You" and the beautiful rose from Waltzingmouse Stamps "Roses in Bloom" .

The taupe Zva Creative Pearls are so gorgeous and I LOVE to cut them up and stick them where I need them to be - they are so versatile!

I stamped the sentiment onto Vintage Cream cardstock and cut it out with Spellbinders Labels Nine - love this shape!

The scallops are Spellbinders Border Petites,Big Scallops and I used some Bazzill Bling cardstock.

Off to my daughter's math class today - see you later!

Little Paper Shop Monday and a Sketch Challenge!

Good morning and welcome to Little Paper Shop Monday!

This week we have a sketch challenge from Allison - I thought it was a stumper so I had to take a little bit of artistic license and try to get my mojo jo-ing - not happening much this week, but this was the best I could do and I like it!

I turned the sketch on it's side to start and then I used the birdhouses from {I Heart} for my main image and then the sentiment is from {Make a Wish}

If you want to play in our challenge, please use the keyword LPSC60 in your favorite gallery, and be sure to check out the Little Paper Shop blog to see what you can win!

Check out the other designers and their creations!!

And here is the Little Paper Shop DT:

With Sympathy........

After seeing Heather Pulvirenti's  post here, I was mesmerized by the simplicity and the beauty of her card!

So I decided to go even simpler and make up a few sympathy cards using Papertrey Ink's Daily Designs and Daily Designs Sentiments.

I just used versamark and white embossing powder for the image and sentiment and then my white gel pen to make the border.....simple and yet elegant!

Thank you so much for coming around and for all your well wishes! The thyroid medication should kick in any day I hope, and then I won't be sleeping so much.....ugh....I enjoy the sleep mind you but nothing gets done in the meantime lol!

Waltzingmouse St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to the St. Patrick's Day blog hop sponsored by Waltzingmouse Stamps!

I am using the free digi stamps offered by Waltzingmouse Stamps for this hop- they are beautiful!

Now- there is something else you need to know! As you work your way through the list - look out for the DT hop entries, they may or may not contain one or more leprechauns! Check all DT pics. Count them. When you are happy that you've seen them all, leave your total in the Thread - March Blog Hop chat!

On with my card!

I used the black Victoriana digital paper from Waltzingmouse Stamps for  my background.

I coloured up the image with copics in greens and purples and then coloured and cut out more little shamrocks and popped them up onto the image.

A little Zva bling was placed in the center of each clover, then the whole image was cut out and popped it up onto a white cardstock circle that had been run through the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder!

The Spellbinders tag was used for the sentiment and then I tied some beautiful green ribbon to match! My ribbon is from Renaissance by Design - 10 yd rolls for $6.00 (but now on sale for $3.75) and the very same quality as PTI ribbon. It is a Canadian company which makes it far easier for me to buy from - the shipping is minimal....gotta luv it! lol!

Stamps: Digi stamps by Waltzingmouse Stamps
Cardstock: digi papers, Stampers Select white (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Spellbinders Tags, Circle Nestabilities, Zva Creative Crystals, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder, Walmart button, Ribbon by Renaissance by Design, Stamping Bella Bauble

I made this card for the Inspiration photo over at Stamping Around - you should join in and you could win a Waltzingmouse Stamp set!!

Here is the inspiration photo and my interpretation of it....

.

Of course I used Sewing Box - Hugs for my stamp set and lots of lace and pearls and flourishes!

Take a zip over to Stamping Around and join this fun challenge!

Introducing Everyday and our hop!

Welcome to Little Paper Shop's very first blog hop - if you are just stopping in you are most welcome to start at the beginning which is at the Little Paper Shop blog!

If you are coming from Julia's blog you are on the right track and after me you will be traveling onwards to Silvia's blog! If you get lost along the way - track back to the Little Paper Shop blog where the schedule will be waiting for you!

Please make sure to leave a comment on everyone's blog for a chance to win our preview set {Everyday} and also a random name will be drawn from everyone's blog to win {Take Time}! Fun!!

Our set we are previewing is called {Everyday} and it is just what it sounds like - lots of everyday sentiments to use on your creations!

We also are doing a fun challenge (totally Cindy's idea) to "Make Something Old, New Again" I have a ton of stuff I never use and so I pretty much closed my eyes, opened up my embellishment drawer and picked out a HUGE sparkly brad that I have a TON of and never use - brads are something I have so many of and just have a hard time using them - no apparent reason either.......

Thanks Cindy - at least I used up one of those brads...lol! I also decided that my Martha Stewart Lace edge punch was something I hardly ever use - so I am in twice in this challenge!!

Now you will be traveling along to Silvia's blog and don't forget to leave a comment in order to have a chance to win twice!!

Introducing Apple Lily!

I've got a fun new {Little Cutie} from Little Paper Shop to introduce you to today and her name is Apple Lily and she will be available on the 16th!

I inked her up with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with my copics.  This Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety paper was really a great match to use so I coloured Apple Lily to match!

It seems like she has some sort of triangle on her little tummy - don't know what that is all about (*rolls eyes)

I cut her out with my oval nestabilities and then I used my Cricut Expression and the Plantin cartridge included to cut out a sweet little (big) apple for an embellishment!

Take a hop around to the other girls blogs to see what they did with {Apple Lily}!

And here is the Little Paper Shop DT:

Stamps: {Apple Lily} Little Paper Shop

Card Patterns

Little Paper Shop is sponsoring the sketch challenge on Card Patterns this week - so if you get a chance take a look over there and do the sketch and you could win some Little Paper Shop things! woo hoo!!

Here is my take on the sketch - I used {Tweet Wishes Lucy} and some Cosmo Cricket Material Girl patterned paper along with Gina K Designs Sweet Corn cardstock - it all goes together so wonderfully!

The gorgeous ribbon is from Renaissance by Design - a Canadian company that has rolls and rolls of ribbon (10 yd rolls!) for a great price and wonderful colours that match both Papertrey Ink cardstock and Gina K Designs cardstock - and yes, I stocked up!

Have a fun day! It's raining here but warm, so I am loving it - such a welcome change from the snow and cold weather - I think this is just spring teaser - but I'll take it!

9 Mar 2010

Friend....

Good Tuesday Morning!

I am on my way to take my daughter to math class this morning, so a short post for you but a pretty one too! This is the fourth year for her "math" class, which is really a skills class - learning basic skills to survive in her world - she loves it so on we go.......

This is for Moxie Fab's lace challenge - Make lace your Focal Point!

I think I was able to do just that with this beautiful lace stamp from the Faux Fun set at Waltzingmouse Stamps!

I started with the darkest colour and variegating myself down the colour spectrum. - from top to bottom - all Ranger distress inks - Dusty Concord, Broken China, Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade.

The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps newest set Roses in Bloom - a gorgeous gentle font that I just love! I added a Prima flower that was pretty cool with the yellow orange shades in the middle - matched perfectly!

Thanks for coming around and have a wonderful day!

Little Paper Shop Challenge!

Good morning and welcome to another Little Paper Shop challenge! Today we have a pretty cool colour challenge - and we would love for you to play along so that you can win a prize! Hope over to the Little Paper Shop blog to see the details......

These are the colours that we are using this week and when you play, please use the keyword LPSC58 so we can all see your fun creations!!

For my layout I used Mercy Kerin's sketch this past week, MTSC63- I love sketch challenges and just don't seem to ever find enough time to play them, so sometimes combining challenges is the only thing to do!

I decided to use the stamp set {I Heart} for my challenge today - I love the gorgeous heart balloon, and the sentiments are really timeless!

My Basic Grey Wisteria hadn't had a workout for awhile and the colour were perfect so I matched them up with some gorgeous new (to me!) colours - Ocean Mist and Lovely Lavender!

The scallops along the bottom are made with a circle punch and then just laying the circles under the strip of cardstock.

Take a look at the rest of the design team's take on this great sketch!!

And here is the Little Paper Shop DT:

Stamps: {I Heart} Little Paper Shop
Cardstock: Ocean Mist, Lovely Lavender, Pure luxury white (Gina K Designs)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), copics

In the Limelight!

Just a little bit of fun news I've been busting to tell!...... I am In the Limelight over on the Flourishes blog! I was asked by Julie Koerber to be the Limelight Designer for March and how exciting it is be doing so!

Here is a little snippet to tease you with!

Please try to find time today to take a look over at the Flourishes blog to see my whole article!

On a bit of a personal note, you have obviously noticed that I haven't been blogging as much lately.

I've been dragging my butt around not feeling like doing anything for awhile now, sleeping all day and then a full night and have been forcing myself to do my projects - not a fun feeling!

I finally made a Dr.'s appointment - I mean, I didn't even feel like stamping so I knew something wasn't right! lol! It turns out I have an underactive thyroid and I have meds now that are meant to clean up my act - so hopefully I have turned the sleeping corner!

Thanks for sticking with me - not a serious problem thank goodness - should feel better soon and stop all this silly sleeping - on a positive note - hubby has been cleaning and making meals for the past three weeks - so I'm almost tempted to fake for awhile lol! - just kidding honey!

Very Vintage Labels No. 3 tags

Don't forget that the draw for free stamps is being drawn in a couple of hours over on the Waltzingmouse Blog!

Also, Stamping Around is featuring Waltzingmouse Stamps this month and she has a really pretty colour challenge that anyone can join using any stamps you wish! You could win some Waltzingmouse Stamps on that challenge too!!

I have a couple of little tags that I made for some things that are coming up in my life - honestly - these Very Vintage Labels No. 3 stamps are perfect for dressing up your tags!

I stamped the curly tags stamp with ink and then stamped the sentiments from Say it with Style in the same colour of ink.

Using my Cuttlebug, I cut out the labels with the Spellbinders Labels Three die, then inked up the edges with some vintage inks.

Using the same colour of cardstock as the ink, I cut out a bigger labels shape and popped up the image onto that.

Adding a couple of gorgeous flowers - Zva and Prima - with some pearls and some pretty ribbon pretty near finished them off. A bit of twine did the deed and done!!

Stamps: Say it With Style, Very Vintage Labels No. 3 (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
Cardstock: Ocean Tides, Spring Moss, Vintage Cream (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Ocean Tides, Ripe Avocado , Tea Dye Duo(Papertrey Ink);
Accessories: Zva roses, Prima flowers, Memory Box pearls, slip of ribbon, eyelet, twine, pop dots.

Waltzingmouse Stamps Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps Release Blog Hop!!! Claire is revealing 3 brand new stamp sets at Waltzingmouse Stamps today and we are celebrating!!! And YOU have a chance to win a prize if you leave a comment on every hop that you visit!

You hopefully started the hop at the Waltzingmouse Stamps blog (Claire's Blog)! If you came here from Anya's Blog you are in the right spot! After my visit you should make your way to Julia's blog for more fun!

I have used the new Roses in Bloom and Vintage Labels No.3 stamp sets today for my release projects!

I made a little box to fill with chocolates to give to someone special - not sure who that will be - I have a lot of special people in my life!! Aren't I blessed?!

Can I just tell you that this box started with WAY more chocolate pieces in it, but I felt the need to tie the beautiful silk ribbon over and over and everytime chocolate would topple out of the box and then I had to eat it, because, well, it's chocolate........

The bottom of the box is just a square piece of Prism cardstock, scored 1" evenly on each side -and then cut a little slit at each corner so they fold in nicely.

The lid is cut 1/8" larger, scored the same, but using my Circle nestabilties I cut a circle in the middle before folding and added a piece of clear sheet underneath - just using tombow glue.

I stamped one of the images from Faux Fun Circles over the top of the cut out circle with Ranger Vintage Photo ink and added a little bit of doodling around the edges of the stamped image.

I sponged the heck out of the box and added a few little pearls to the center of the flower and the Faux Fun Circles image!

I coloured up the rose and the leaves with my copics, cut them out and popped everything up onto the corner of the box.

For my next card, I have to say this is sort of a case of Julia's St. Patrick's Day card - which I loved (thanks Julia for inspiring me!)- and I used the same sketch from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday sketch .

The shamrock and the sentiment comes from the stamp set Celtic Heritage and I used two of the stamps from the new Vintage Label's No. 3 to show off the shamrock!

See how those labels can work with each other to make an even more lovelier frame?! I love it!

What a fun Blog Hop don't you agree!!??

Now please make your way to the lovely Julia see her wonderful creation and don't forget to leave a comment so that you might win a prize!!

Just Stamping Around......

Little Paper Shop Monday Challenge!

Good Monday morning and welcome to another Little Paper Shop challenge!!

This week we have a great sketch challenge! If you would like to join us you might win the fabulous set Floral Wishes!! Find out all the information for the challenge on the Little Paper Shop blog!

I decided I would use Floral Wishes for my card today - it hasn't seen any ink in a sinfully long time!

I stamped the vase and then just kept stamping the pretty, feminine flowers over top to look like they were cascading out of the top. There are also two leaf images that fit in perfectly!!

I did a little fancy zig zagging down the side (albeit a little crooked - what's with THAT?!)

Take a look at the rest of the design team's take on this great sketch!!
And here is the Little Paper Shop DT:
