Okay, now I am doing the CASing.......

The  featured stamper on Splitcoast yesterday was Tillymint - and she stamps a lot with Waltzingmouse Stamps, so I really wanted to CASE her!

I decided to CASE this card of Tillymint's, and as per the rules, I changed up at least three things:

I used patterned paper, I changed the stamp, and changed the placement of the ribbon/bow.

CUTE invitations don't you think!!??  I used Waltzingmouse Stamps - Holiday Labels #14 for the back of the label, and the sentiment is from Afternoon Tea Sentiments.

Thanks for dropping by!

Using the cutie patootie High Hopes stamp Dino-Mite Dino - I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him with  my copics.

I chose to cut him "out-of-the-box" with his sweet little tail hanging out and about and then mounted him onto my eyelet circle.

Friend...

Today is my friend Claire's birthday!

Happy Birthday Claire!  By now you may have been around to the other Waltzingmouse Stamps designer's blog's for Claire's Birthday Hop!

You should be arriving from Carly's fabulous creation and if you haven't you might want to start at the beginning , on the WMS blog ,so you don't miss all the beautiful creations that have been made for Claire - our fearless leader!

One of my very first Waltzingmouse Stamp sets was Roses in Bloom and I still LOVE it!! so that is what I chose to use for Claire's Birthday card!

I stamped Text-It in Sweet Blush onto Vintage Cream cardstock to make some patterned paper, and then stamped over it in Smoky Shadow with the large rose in the Roses in Bloom stamp set.

I added dew drops to the rose - maybe too many? dang it.......and then popped it up onto the background.

The sentiments is also from Roses in Bloom. I added a large Zva Creative swirl under the rose because I LOVE them!

From here, your next stop is the Lovely Lenet!! I know she has something beautiful up her sleeve!!

TWO!

Tomorrow is my granddaughter Robin's 2nd birthday - and I think I fell asleep for two years because they went by Speedy Gonzales quick!! Ridiculous!

This is the card I have made for her - all sparkly and pink and pretty!

I used Waltzingmouse Pic-Nic Patterns for the background - stamped in Plum Pudding and a row of cupcakes along the bottom because - what 2 years old doesn't like cupcakes??!!

The cupcakes are from the Frame-It stamp set - I just stamped the whole cupcake in a row in memento black and then went over the cupcakes with their solid stamp counterpart - fits in there perfectly!!

Using Holiday Labels No. 14, I stamped the label in Raspberry Fizz onto Raspberry Fizz cardstock and then cut it out with the Spellbinders Labels Fourteen.

I added  a sparkly #2 Thickers and then because it looked kind of bare I found a little doo-dad stamp in the Fancy Phrases stamp set to stamp on the top and bottom of the "2".  I added more little Zva crystals just because they are super pretty!

I received my new Papertrey Ink Edge die this week and so I used it for the bottom of the card - all pretty and so fun for a Two year old who is a sweetie pie! Cake and ice cream tomorrow night yay!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps and the Grand Calibur Event!

ETA: Ignore the man behind the curtain!! Joanne pointed out that I have an "E" for my watermark in my last card - NO we are not counting again lol! I mistakenly added the "E" to the this card and I can't for the life of me, figure out how to remove it - d'oh!....

Good morning folks and welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps/Grand Calibur Event!

Our design team is so excited to bring you our projects that have been made using, naturally, Waltzingmouse Stamps and the Grand Calibur which Spellbinders were so generous in providing to each member of the WMS design team!!

Here is what our event includes:

• Folks who purchase anything during the 3-day event (8.00am this morning 21st Jan to midnight Sun 23rd - all my time) will be entered into a draw. One person will be randomly picked at the end of the 3 days to receive their shopping basket free!

• We will also draw one random winner per day from comments left on one of the DT blogs just like we do for regular releases (only there will be three days of winners rather than just one!). Each winner will receive a free stamp set of their choice!

• We will also be holding a special challenge after the party. At the end of the event, we will invite all you folks to CASE a card/project from the 3 days. You will have one week to link your entries to the WMS blog post and then we'll pick a random winner for a prize. You may enter as many times as you like. One random winner will receive a set of Grand Nestabilities Dies - Grand Labels 4 and a set of stamps of their choice!

Okay, now on to my projects!

You know I like my home decor projects - so of course I had to come up with a little something today.

I used my Half-Pint Heroes set to begin with and coloured the little car and guy up with copic markers.

Using my new Grand Calibur, I cut out the little sun which is the smallest Spellbinders Large Pinking Circle die, the stop sign from the Spellbinders Octagons and the little "trailer" which is a Spellbinders Fancy Tags die, all from cardstock.

And then, since I have some other company dies ;), I decided to see if they would work in the Grand Calibur and YES!! fabulously so - the cloud die cut through that felt like butter!

I had already painted the black frame with white acrylic paint, so it was ready to go. Using Co'ordinations  cardstock, I ripped up a blue sky and the green grass to fit into my frame.

I stamped the trees and the little bird from Teeny Trees onto the "hill" in Colorbox ink and then proceeded to put everything together!

For my next project, I decided a card was in order so I went back to the Grand Calibur and was able to position every die that I needed - and then some -in one swoop through the Calibur - LOVE that and what a time saver!!!

I ended up not using the Blossoms die, but I have it now just in case. You can see under the Spellbinder butterflies die, which is cutting vellum, all the cutting marks from previous run throughs! But this is the cutting pad of the Calibur so that is all right!

And this is my CAS card using Rescue Remedies- so easy to put together and really fast since you have all the parts available at your fingertips!!

For my last project, I used Spring Baskets - since spring is right around the corner!! I hope Mother Nature is listening haha!

I apologize that the only thing I used the Grand Calibur for on this project is the Fancy Tag. I know - I got caught up in making the card and then forgot that I was supposed to be showcasing !!

I hope you are having fun and that you have enjoyed my projects!

Please take a look at the following designers who are also showcasing today Julia, Anya and Lisa!!

Paper Romance Challenge!

This week on the Paper Romance Challenge, Cindy has challenged us to make a shaped card, so I dusted off my Classic Heart Nestabilities and Classic Scalloped Heart Nestabilities and put together this sweet card!

I stamped, paper pieced and cut out Cherry Chip Chimp and then popped him up onto the heart card. It's hard to tell but I used my glaze pen to fill in the cherry and make it all shiny and pretty and my white gell pen to add some highlight!

We would love for you to play along with us and you could win a gift card for the Paper Romance store! Click here to go to our challenge blog and check all the details.

You can also see the rest of the design team inspiration!

Good morning! The washing machine is running, the dryer is running, the dishwasher is running and the hydro meter is spinning around and around lol! and now I get a few minutes to post!

I made this card a couple of weeks ago and did not post to my blog. It was a Winter challenge for My Favorite Things - which by the way is now sponsoring a new sketch every week!

I made this first card and then when I saw what the challenge was, I added some snowflakes - not too bad eh? (said in my best Canadian accent haha!)

I think I like it better with the snowflakes! I used Waltzingmouse Stamps Frame-it stamp set and then cut out the little a la Mode and stuck adhered her right in the blank space.

I always feel guilty mixing stamp sets - do you??

Stamps: My Favorite Things, Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: Kraft, Cosmo Cricket
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, copics, Pure Poppy
Accessories: MFT small banner die, MFT snowflake die, walmart button, PTI twine, spellbinders square die

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #30!

Oh yes, better late than never - and that has happened before haha!

Here is this week's fabulous sketch! So many possiblities!

I chose to use October Afternoon patterned paper and then stamped over top of it with two of the background stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

I used Musical Backgrounds on the Modern Homemaker October Afternoon because I loved the new patterned paper from PTI last month and just couldn't see paying for it when I could make my own (and also the plastic card was loaded being as it was Christmas wahoo...)

I then stamped the lace from Faux Fun onto another sheet of Modern Homemaker to make more designer paper - yay love it!!

The sentiment is from Frame-It and I used the Holiday Labels No. 14 stamp set- compatible with Spellbinders labels 14 of course!
I added some ribbon with a Maya Road pin to finish it off!!

Come on back tomorrow when we will have our Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Hop!! - Won't you join us??!

Happy Birthday Masculine Style!

This week’s Paper Romance Challenge is all about birthdays and the men in our life! Make a birthday card for your husband, son, uncle, brother, a co-worker.... Just gear it towards the masculine side!

I am still using this Miles Mouse image - not only because I LOVE it but because I am waiting for stamps - grrr Canadian Postal System!

I kept it very simple - as in no colouring - and kept the embellishment down to a bar minimum - because men don't even care about that stuff - believe me I wanted to add bows and ribbon lol!

Why don't you pop over to the Paper Romance Challenge blog and give it a try!

On a personal note - I have been sick - so therefore no posts and I am sorry about that - I have been making cards but just can't stop coughing long enough to get the energy to post - I think I am turning the cough corner this week, lol - so hopefully can get back to normal.

Paper Romance Challenge!

Oh it feels good to be back and at "it" again! I love getting into a routine - all those presents and candy and turkey just threw me off my equilibrium - back to fiber and salads...yeh right :)!

This is the first challenge of the New Year for Paper Romance! As always, you can check out the details on the Paper Romance Challenge blog - Every week there is something to be won yay!

This week we were challenged to "Let the Sun Shine In"!! and I say - gladly!

My card features a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp starring Miles Mouse and the stamp called Birthday Friends - they look pretty proud of themselves carrying around that beautiful cake!

I stamped and coloured the image with my copic markers and then using My Mind's Eye designer paper, set out to construct my card!

Using the Sweet Sunday Sketch, I made my creation featuring a border from a Jenni Bowlin bingo card that said cake - appropriate don't you think?

Check out all the other design team members creations too - I know you will be floored!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps has challenged you - to use snowflakes on your card!!

Check out all the details of the challenge over at the Daily Dare . You could win a free Waltzingmouse Stamps stamp set of your choice!

Here is my snowflake card!! I decided to keep it quite simple since I was sick and could barely hold my head up while making this card. ......oooh....totally kidding of course.....but I was rather nose runny and achy and feverish......forget it....

You can see all of the WMS design team snowflake cards on the Waltzingmouse Blog.

Tea Time and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year and Good Morning and welcome back!

Oh, I had such a wonderful holiday with my family and noticeably took a few days off from blogging. I think if I hadn't had it planned, this dang cold would have forced it on me anyway! What a way to spend a Christmas - yikes - lots of orange juice and Vitamin C for sure! We are all on the mend and things should be back to normal this week so yay!

I have a Waltzingmouse project to show you today! A cute little notebook and teabag  holder featuring images and sentiments from Afternoon Tea and Afternoon Tea Sentiments, with a little Text-it Backgrounder and Vintage Circles Small thrown in!

I took a pre made little box and before folding on the prescored lines, I stamped the words "need a cup?" diagonally across the box. I then folded the box and decorated it with Tea Time and Melon Berry embellishments.

I used Waltzingmouse Stamps Text It backgrounder for the top of my notebook stamped in Chai ink and a little clip to hold my home made circle embellishment. The whole combo came together with Cosmo Cricket's  Earth Love designer paper- I will never get over this paper :)!

Thank you for coming around and have a happy happy day!
