Rebel, Rebel!!

Rebel, Rebel, you've torn your dress
Rebel, Rebel, your face is a mess,
Rebel, Rebel, how could they know?
Hot Tramp?? I love you so!!

Yes I am definitely showing my age here lol! - 1974 David Bowie woot woot! I had just met my future husband the year before and ....Oh....... I am way over David Bowie.....but seriously folks....

This new digi is called Rebel - okay....you knew this was going somewhere right?

Welcome to another Wednesday Hambo Hoedown!

This week the challenge is sewing - real, faux,.... whatever kind of sewing you can do WITH A HAMBO IMAGE! Don't forget you need to use a Hambo Image in your creation in order to meet the challenge criteria. While we LOVE your cards whichever way you make them, a Hambo Image is a must......

I also used Tuesday's colours in the Splitcoaststampers Colour Challenge - which were orange, turquoise and marigold - actually they are Stamping UP! colours but I don't have those so I used Orange Zest, Hawaiian Shores and Summer Sunrise!

I used my black spica pen to make some faux stitching around the edges and on the oval sentiment. The clouds are cut with a die that actually has the little stitching embossed right into them, so they were perfect!

I used the Moroccan Cuttlebug folder to give the HUGE "sun" some texture an a Hawaiian Shores button with "twine"! I luv's me my twine!

I coloured up this digi image with my copic markers - what would I do without them?? and then cut him out.

I actually coloured his head and his gun twice, cut them out and popped them up to add some dimension to my card!

Rebel with a blue gun, blue gun, blue gun..... Rebel with a blue gun on.....okay so it's Devil with a blue dress.....looking forward to the weekend (already) and I am regressing a bit into the oldies lol!

If you played in last week's challenge and you emailed your photo to Monica (check out the Hambo Hoedown Blog for that info) then you will receive a free digi this week! Isn't that the coolest??!!

OUCH!!

Good morning and welcome to another Wednesday Hambo Hoedown!

This week the challenge is to make a monochromatic card! Love doing this - it makes me dig around in my patterned paper a bit and actually use the stuff I have hoarded haha!

If you played in last week's challenge and you emailed your photo to Monica (check out the Hambo Hoedown Blog for that info) then you will receive a free digi this week! Isn't that the coolest??!!

So, on to the lovely monochromatic creation!

I used the "Mosquito" Hambo digi stamp this week and coloured up this little guy in beiges and browns. I added googly eyes to make him funny - my grandchildren love these eyes!

For the "ouch!" sentiment, I placed my chipboard letters onto white cardstock and sprayed it with Tattered Angels Suede glimmer mist - then after I removed the letters - a nice bright "OUCH!"

The inside sentiment is computer generated. I just used Microsoft Word to type up a sentiment and then printed it out on a piece of cardstock. I will use the remaining cardstock for other projects!

We would love for you to play in our challenge!  Of course you can use ANY Hambo image that you own and there are free digi's available at the store for you also AND a whole BUNCH of other digi images that are so dang cheap - you just save them to your file and then print them off - easy peasy!

Thanks for joining me today and take a look at the other girl's projets to see how they used this little/big mosquitoe!!

Flattened Sincerity!

Good morning and welcome to another Wednesday Hambo Hoedown!

This is the day where we introduce a new digi stamp and you get to play in a new challenge - a challenge that we offer every week.

This week the challenge is to create a gate-fold card!!
I started to sweat when I read the challenge, basically because I made a plain old card and sent it in to Monica, and then she reminded me that we were to do a gate-fold card for the challenge - D'OH!!!

The instructions for a gate-fold card are right here and it is so easy - it is ridiculous!

If you played in last week's challenge and you emailed your photo to Monica (check out the Hambo Hoedown Blog for that info) then you will receive a free digi this week! Isn't that the coolest??!!

Of course you can use ANY Hambo image that you own and there are free digi's available at the store for you also AND a whole BUNCH of other digi images that are so dang cheap - you just save them to your file and then print them off - easy peasy!

I used this week's free digi image - Steamroller - and I printed him out twice.

Then I taped some designer paper from Echo Park overtop of one of the images and printed it out again so that the image would be printed on the dp! I cut out the image from the cardstock and coloured it with my copic markers - did I tell you how much I love my copics??!! *swoon*!!

Then I cut out the wheels only on the patterned paper and adhered them to my image for the roller part and wheel.

I made up a little scene with clouds and grass and adhered the image to my gatefold card as per the tutorial.

For the inside of the card I used the same designer paper from Echo Park and went with the scene theme, using a fence and grass!

Stick a gift card behind the fence and you are ready to go!

Don't forget to go around to the other designer's sites to see how they used their Hambo Stamps!

Congratulations Border Style!

This is for last week's Inspirational Challenge on Splitcoaststampers- these Inspirational sights just kill me because I always want to order from them.....I would be broke if I did that every week!!

It is also for Moxie Fab's border challenge that is going on right now - I LOVE border punches!! I am not very creative when it comes to borders though  I need to take some lessons from that dang Betsy Veldman - she is absolutely a creative genius!!!

But on we go with what I did make!! I was inspired by this skirt and I remembered a card that Julia Stainton had made months ago so I decided to go with that and make a lot of white borders, adhere them all together and presto bongo!! - a pretty card!

I used multiple paper punches on this card - very simple really!

The Congrats is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Frame-It and then I added some Raspberry Fizz blingety bling!! and ribbon and all in all - pretty dang sweet if I do say so myself!!

Life is crazy sometimes - my poor doggy needs a hair cut.......and so do I
Smiley from millan.net.......so I phoned my hairdresser and as luck would have it, I could get in this afternoon to get my hair cut yay!!

My dog has to wait until a week from Friday lol! Smiley from millan.net

Something weird about that.......

Enjoy Life!

Good morning and welcome to another Wednesday Hambo Hoedown!

This is the day where we introduce a new digi stamp and you get to play in a new challenge - a challenge that we offer every week.

This week the challenge is to create a round card!!

If you played in last week's challenge and you emailed your photo to Monica (check out the Hambo Hoedown Blog for that info) then you will receive a free digi this week! Isn't that the coolest??!!

Of course you can use ANY Hambo image that you own and there are free digi's available at the store for you also AND a whole BUNCH of other digi images that are so dang cheap - you will want them in your digi repertoire!

So my round card today features "Cool Dog" - a Hambo Stamps digi image! He is so dang relaxed and right where I want to be, on a huge tube floating in a pool sipping away on a ice cold glass of "lemonade" ;)!

I coloured him up with my copic markers - but left his nose white because he needs to wear sunblock after all!

After I finished colouring him, I cut him out and popped him up onto the patterned paper.

The patterned paper is from Echo Park's Splash 6x6 paper pad that I got at I {heart} papers!

We would love for you to join us in our challenge to make a round card - just be sure to use a Hambo image - and there are free digi's available in the store!! - no excuses!!  Smiley from millan.net

Hey Chick!

Happy 4th of July to all of my American Friends and I hope you have had a wonderful and safe weekend!

I made this card for last week's Ways to Use It challenge on Splitcoaststampers  - Use something old and something new!

The digi image from Hambo Stamps (Silly Birds with hats) that I used is my "something new" and -you will have to take my word for it - I didn't take a photo of it - on the inside of the card I have used some old Cosmo Cricket Tiny Letters, turquoise coloured to spell out "Hey Chick"!

Did you know that there is no time limit on any of Splitcoaststampers Challenges??! - you can do these challenges at your own speed and upload at any time - although not on Sunday's unless you are a Fan Club Member!

Thanks for coming around today!

If you are here from Mona's blog you are certainly on the right track!

I didn't make a card with the Flourishes - Scallops and Dots for the previews - I saved it for the release day - today!

Such a CAS card but fun to make and beautiful in its' outcome!

I started by stamping one of the stamps from Text-It Backgrounds in a taupe coloured ink. I really wanted it to match the Kraft and I think it is pretty close!

I stamped one of the sentiments from Big Day Additions - being released today - in the same taupe ink and then added the Flourishes -Scallops and Dots in Hawaiian Shores with turquoise gems added for bling!

Hope you likey! Now you are on to your next stop which is the most talented Lynn! I know she has something you will enjoy!

Happy Canada Day EH?!!

Good Morning and Happy Canada Day!  The first half of the year is over! wha....?! Oh this year is going so dang fast, I can't even believe it!

I made this Canada Day card awhile back and sent it in to get published - it didn't get picked up but that means that I can show it to you now!

I used Waltzingmouse Stamps Bitty Banners set and stamped all the sweet little wavy banners in red!

The cloud paper is from My Favorite Things and is a digi paper pack by Stephanie Fizer called The Sheltering Tree - LOVE IT!

The sentiment is also from My Favorite Things and is the Typewriter Alphabet stamped onto a Spellbinders Ribbon Banner die!

Please be sure to come back at 2:00 pm when we will be having our Waltzingmouse Stamps Release Blog Waltz - there are prizes to be won!! yay!
