Happy Easter! Guest Designer Project

Good Day!

Today I have a My Favorite Things Guest Designer Project for you!

The theme this month is Easter.....so I got out some eggs, hardboiled them and added a ring o' rosies to them.... haha!

Using the My Favorite Things Royal Rose Die-Namics, I ran it through my Vagabond (LOVE IT!!) several time on different colours of My Favorite Things Felt and rolled them up - using my glue gun.

Again using my glue gun, I adhered them to the hard boiled egg in a ring and then made an Easter card to match!

I had the Pure Innocence "My Basket of Eggs" and decided that was a perfect image for an Easter project!

I coloured her up with my copics, using a little bit of copic sparkle on the eggs.

Using the Monarch Die-Namic border and the My Mind's Eye Happy Go Lucky 6x6 paper pad, I constructed an Easter card to match my eggs!

I wrapped a little bit of The Twinery twine, and MFT Berrylicious ribbon around parts of the card and performed some magic with my Janome Mini Sewing Machine - added the matching sentiment and it was done!

Good morning! It is time once again for our Sentimental Sundays challenge

This week our challenge to you is Easter or Spring (plus a sentiment!)

Our sponsor this week is Meljen Designs!  You could win 4 free images of your choice!

Meljen Designs is owned and operated by Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical rubber and digital images inspired by her kids and family! Meljen Designs has new releases along with a new challenge every Thursday, freebies every Monday and a Guest Designer each month at the Meljen's Designs Blog.
This week I chose to use "Hop Along Bunny" for my Easter or Spring image.

I printed this sweet little image from my computer twice, and then coloured one image with  my copic markers, adding a touch of brown to the grey fur. The other image, I only coloured the basket, cut it out and popped it up onto the first image!

My little sentiment is made up of Cosmo Cricket mini alphabets - love those teeny babies!  The flower is punched out with my Stamping Up! scalloped circle punch - and then, using my scissors, I cut little petals into the middle.

I wanted to stamp the flower with polka dots, but when I mounted up the stamp onto the acrylic block, I put it upside down and ended up stamping it with the back of the stamp duh!! Anyway, it turned out fine regardless lol!

I added a button with twine and then I was done!

Don't forget - we would love for you to enter your creation into our challenge - just remember to add a sentiment to your Easter creation!!

Hello, Friend

Good day!

I have this week's My Favorite Things sketch for you today, but beware, I'm not too sure if this is a vintage card or just a messy creation!

I began by using Upcycle Cosmo Cricket papers from my 6 x 6 paper pad and bordered it with hot pink cardstock.

My Janome Mini Sewing Machine came in handy with this card - and let me tell you-- I am in love with that baby Smiley from millan.net ! I zigzagged and straight stitched my little heart out on every border - even the tag!

The Die-namics Tag You're It die was stamped with one of the flourishes from the Finishing Flourishes stamp set - I also used this set for the sentiment - love that gorgeous LARGE font!

I used the Die-namics Botanical Beauty which I ran through a Cuttlebug folder for my flower and a bit of antiqued ribbon tied with a button for some interesting detail.

Everything was sponged with antique ink and finally I added a blingety bling flourish - because I can.....lol.

Yay! for KennyK!

Good Morning and welcome to another Sentimental Sundays post!

This week we are being sponsored by Kenny K Downloads!  The creator, the artist, the man: Kenny K is a NYC-born professional illustrator who has brought his funky-but-slick, urban-influenced look to the cardmaking and papercrafts world.  His signature style can be seen throughout his various collections of sexy pinup babes, sweet 'n sassy girls, cool rockin' dudes, kid’s stuff, retro characters and more at KennyKDownloads.com .

This week you are being challenged to use METAL in your project! As per usual, I made up my card, with never a thought to the challenge but I was fortunate to have my little circle paperclips and so I clipped one onto my card -

I coloured my little boy called "Victory Kid" with my copic markers - I desperately wanted to make camo pants - but just couldn't bring myself to try it....so I settled on the denim green look!

I cut him out and popped him up onto the Dilly Dally designer paper by My Mind's Eye - are you getting tired of this paper yet?   I seem to be using it alot lately :)

I added some flowered grass and a fence to ground the "Victory Kid", and some letters to spell my word!

I hope you can join us at Sentimental Sunday's for this week's challenge to use metal (and don't forget the sentiment!!)

Country Charm

Good day!

I'm back from holidays - LOVE being home although our vacation was fabulous - from Ontario, Canada to Florida is such a weather difference - absolutely fell in love with Florida!

I was so lucky to have my hubby do a side-track in our trip and we were able to travel to Eustis, Florida - home of MFT Stamps - AND I was there for their Grand Opening - I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures.....arggghhh!   Smiley from millan.net

I did manage to spend the amount needed to get a special package from Kim - full of some of this months' release!! and then I wasn't even home so that I could jump the gun and give you some previews - but oh-well....you will see lots soon - love the Behind the Camera and those little Cowboy and Cowgirl Pure Innocence stamps are to die for!

Today I am using Pure Innocence Cowgirl - such a sweetie! In Canada we have a group known as "The Canadian Cowgirls" - a group of horse-riding sweeties who are working to raise money for their trip to the Rosebowl Parade to perform - woohoo! so I thought I would send my cyber friend - Canadian Cowgirl Beth - this card with a little something inside!

I stamped her onto to Copic Xpress cardstock, coloured her with copics and actually put a little detail into the boots as you can see.

I swiped my marker so that the boots look like they are patterned - and then I added a bit of gold paint pen to the tips of the boots -love it!

My paper is My Mind's Eye Dilly Dally and I paper pieced the little outfit!

I added a little star charm using the Die-namics Country Charms die and tied a bow with the hemp twine. I finished it off by added some brushed gold brads!

I love it and I hope she does too!

SP and Company Release Blog Hop!

Good Morning and welcome to another Release from Scrapmaster's Paradise!

I don't think I am in the hop because I am pre-posting this and am still on vacation wahoo!

This month we have a new release colour and it is GREEN!! So if you would like to join us we would love for you to add your link of your (mainly) green creation to our SP and Company blog!

Don't forget that the random prize patrol is watching so leave a comment on every blog to be eligible for the prizes!! The more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning something fun!

We have a few sets and some singles being released this month! One of the sets is called All Zipped Up and consists of zippers!! I LOVE it!

Sorry I don't have a tutorial for this dress card.....I just sort of winged it and it turned out!

I can tell you that I started with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of green cardstock and then, using my round punches, I punched a neck and the sleeves. Then, using my scissors, I cut a v-neck.

I stamped the one half of the zipper along both sides of the "v" and then stamped the zipper thingy (I can't think of the right word lol!) twice. I cut out one of the thingy's and popped it up on top of the other one, tied a bit of twine and added the sentiment!

I adhered a white "sleeveless shirt" behind the neck of the dress and the pockets were cut with my rectangle nestabilities. Using my corner chomper I chomped 1/4" from each bottom corner of my pockets and adhered them to the "dress"

Then, taking my black Tombow marker, I faux stitched around the edges. The finale was a pretty felt rose with a pearl in the center!

Make sure you check out the SP Blog to see what Samantha did with the new stamps! We also have the Stamp Team and the Challenge Team teaming up today to show you lots of amazing projects with the newest stamp sets!
