White on White Baptism

Good Day! I hope that you have had a wonderful Christmas celebration with family and/or friends - I know I did!

This month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop theme is white on white.

I have had baby on the brain lately as my son and his wife are expecting their first child the first week in January - we are so excited!! I can hardly contain myself!

I decided to make a baby card - I think this is a great idea for a baptism or christening!

I used the Baby Onesie die from the Papertrey Ink Shape Up Series to make my card. I cut it once for the front of the card....and then again for the base of the card......and then only part of it - for the vellum....

I stamped the sentiment from Bitty Baby Blessings with Versamark Ink and embossed it using fine filigree white embossing powder.

I ran the top part of the onesie through the Picnic Plaid Impression Plate and then added the vellum with a piece of score tape. Using another piece of score tape, I adhered the ribbon.

I then tied a bow with the ribbon, added three Prima flowers and then added some Stickles to the flowers!

The last step was to attached the bow with flowers to the card - I always use my glue gun for this part - I don't want the bow falling off!

Thanks for coming around today - now I am off to visit the other Hoppy participants!!

Make it Monday Detail Glitter!

Good day!

Let me tell you - I have over one hundred Papertrey Ink stamp sets (I'm sure many of you have more hee hee)  and yet I have never joined in the Make it Monday challenge - well..... that is about to change!

I love the little detail of glitter - it shows off such a pop in your creation and this week - that was the emphasis of Make it Monday!

Now glitter is not the easiest to photograph so I hope that you can see it!

Everything on this card is from Papertrey Ink except the doily - they even sell the bling!

As per the challenge, I used my glue pen to outline the circle and then added the Prisma Glitter - I love the beautiful shine!

I combined a couple of stamp sets in this card - Stitched Sentiments and Pretty Peonies along with the co-ordinating dies.

My card base is white with a Spring Moss border. The top is Soft Stone and was run through my Vagabond with the Linen Impression plate.

I also used Spring Moss, Smokey Shadow and Hibiscus Burst Ink.

Thanks for coming around and why don't you join in on this pretty challenge!!

I have just re-read our instructions and I do believe I was supposed to make a Christmas-y project - well all I can say is - it is in red lol!

We have a slew of weddings coming up in our area, so when my Royal Mail{(I love saying that :)} arrived on my doorstep, I was very happy!

I stamped the hearts with Festive Berries Distress Ink - just look at that coverage! The black heart and sentiment are stamped with Black Soot Distress Ink .  I sponged around the edges with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inks.

The envelope is just a little fun addition!
