Let's Chat.....

Good morning and welcome to another 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge!

I love these challenges - no pressure - you can use whichever stamps you want - any paper you want and there are no winners - just a friendly stamping challenge to have fun!  Of course there is the top three - you can post our badge on your blog - but that is just a bonus - an awesome one at that!

This week our challenge is "Girls Night Out" and as you can see from my card - I don't usually go for a Girls Night Out lol!

I am a chatterer and will visit on the phone with my friends and occasionally go for tea - but as far as a howling night out? - no - too old and comfy for that haha! From Millan.Net

Anyway - here is my creation based on MY night out.....

I chose to use a few of the Paper Smooches stamp sets.....Vogue Abode, Chubby Chums - the little xo, and Eco Friendly - for the light switch chain......

Try to join in this week won't you?

Let's Do Lunch!

Good Morning - and it time for this week's 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge!!

This week our challenge is LAYERS!! - 3 or more - love, love, LOVE layers!! and these Pure Innocence My Favorite Things stamps work so well if you choose to paper piece and add layers!

This week I went with Pure Innocence On a Picnic - she is so sweet with her little teddy bear and picnic basket! I laid down the Die-namics Farm Fence diecut first and then the little blanket.

The sweet Pure Innocence girley, bear and picnic basket went next and then the Dienamics Fresh Cut Grass.  The Die-namics Flat Bottom Clouds were perfect -as was the background patterned paper with the balloon on it - just lucky!

The included sentiment fit perfectly onto the Die-namics File Tab.... wahoo!

See all of the wonderful layers??!

Thanks for coming around and I am sure that you can whip up something for our challenge! Join in won't you?!

4 Crafty Chicks Design Challenge!

First of all, so sorry about the wonky font - it looks to me like Blogger is on holidays again......

Good Morning folks, it's time for another 4 Crafty Chicks blog post
This week it is my turn to offer up a challenge and my challenge to you is called {Crazy About Wheels}!  Anything "wheelie" good in your stash is wonderful to use!  Just post it to our blog -  4 Crafty Chicks Design Challenge!!

I used the My Favorite Things bicycle Dienamic this week plus the  Abstract Art stamp set!

Only half of the bicycle was used to portray the spinning of tires to create all sorts of pretty "splats"!  The sentiment is from MFT Life's Direction! - love it!

Try to enter in my challenge if you can find the time - It is bicycle weather in Shetland this week - so lucky!

The Magic of Christmas!

Oh I know - Christmas is still over 2 months away - but for crafters and stampers - Christmas is anytime!

I wanted to participate in the My Favorite Things sketch challenge this week - so Christmas is my theme....

I finally used my Die-namics Santa's Sleigh and decided that felt was the way to go, after all, Santa needs a comfortable place to sit while he is traveling the world - wouldn't you say?!

The runners are from Kraft cardstock and the sleigh body is red felt. I added a bit of bling to the sleigh - pretend they are little running lights ok?

My sentiment is from MFT's Seasonal Sentiments, stamped in the gorgeous Electric Red ink - oh how I love it!  I finished it off with a Die-namics Let it Snowflake out of felt using the Large Metal Adapter Plate - it works perfectly!  Tie some twine and a button - and done!!

Thanks for coming around and join in on the fun at MFT!!

"Fall" Challenge #162

Good Morning folks, it's time for another 4 Crafty Chicks blog post

This week our challenge is all about "Fall". Just whip up a creation using any stamp set you have and using our "Fall" theme, post it onto our website at 4 Crafty Chicks Design Challenge!!

Well, you wouldn't know it is fall around these parts of south-western Ontario! It has been beautiful - upper 70's, sun shining and I am STILL watering my flowers - How long do you have to water those suckers anyway - if it wasn't for hubby, I would have thrown them out long ago lol!

I chose to use a My Favorite Things stamp set this week, Lisa Johnson Designs to be exact - Peaceful Wildflowers plus the matching DieNamics....

I stamped the background (from Pretty Poppies) with Kraft ink and the die cut flowers (#wishIhadofusedorange) with various MFT inks.

I die-cut the Woodgrain Fence Die-namics and ran my ink pad over top so that it would really pronounce the gorgeous woodgrain embossing! The wildflowers were tucked behind the fence and then I tied some delicious twine around the whole thing!

Here is a closeup so you can see the dimension. Have I mentioned how I LOVE to use foam tape to pop up  my images - it makes everything so much more real....really!!

Take a look at our challenge and try it out -no pressure, no special stamps, no special paper - just having fun at a craft that we love!

Take care!
