Ahoy!

Good Morning!

Another My Favorite Things card coming your way - today's card is the weekly sketch challenge on MFT….#163 wowzers - hard to believe!

Here is the sketch…..and my take on it…..

I used Pure Innocence Sailor Girl for my focal point, stamped and coloured her with my copic markers and then cut her out.  I pretty much copied Michele Boyer's colouring for Sailor Girl except for using a different colour for her outfit….I love her copic work!

The rectangle background was made by sponging the Stencil Stripes with my Premium Dye Ink Pad Red Hot.  I die cut it using one of the panels in the Blueprints 10 Dienamics.

The Fishtail Banner and the small stitched banner piece are from the new Blueprints 12 Dienamics.  The anchor is from Dienamics Let's Get Nautical and the waves are from  Dienamics Making Waves.

Thanks for coming around to visit.  I hear that there is a 96 degree difference between my home in Ontario and down here in Punta Gorda!  -16 degrees F at home and 80 degrees F here……YIKES!!

You Are Simply Amazing!

We are having so much fun in Florida, but I did manage to create another card for you today,  this time featuring the colours for the MFT Colour Palette this month AND some new dies and stamps from My Favorite Things- woohoo!

I just have to give a BIG thumbs up to MFT and their packaging/postal persons ….I ordered my product on Tuesday night - 10:00 pm and had it in my hot little hands Thursday morning - woot woot!

I LOVE the colours this month and I snuck in a little bit of black in there too!  I sponged Blu Raspberry ink onto Blu Raspberry Cardstock using the Wildcat Stencil.

My sketch is from the MFT Dienamics Blueprint 12 download AND I used the Dienamics Blueprint 12 on portions of my card.

I die cut the new MFT Dienamics Chandelier and added a touch of Wink of Stella glitter so it would SHINE!!

The sentiment is from the new Simply Fabulous Sayings - I love that it has many different ways that you can say - You are FABULOUS!!

Off I go golfing or something wonderful!

Guess Who Loves You?

I know….two posts in a month - crazy isn't it?!  Hubby is finally starting to join into things in the park so I have some free time to stamp wahoo!

Drat….too late…..dang MacBook!  I chose to use this week's (almost last week's-hehe) MFT sketch challenge. I am using the cute little Pure Innocence Guess Who Loves You? stamp.

So sorry about the fuzzy photo…..trying to figure out how to edit on MacBook Air is killing me :)

I stamped and paper pieced her using some patterned paper and the Die-namics Blueprints 6.

The cute little doily is from Mini Delicate Doilies Die-namics and the hearts are from Die-namics Staggered Hearts Border….Love it!  I triple stacked the middle heart to show some dimension….

I cut the banner out myself, since I didn't bring that die with me to Florida - Oh how I wish I could have just brought everything!!!

Window Portraits….

I LOVE our new place in Florida…..but OH, how I miss my grandbabies, so I put together a little photo FUN that is so easy to change up if I need to!

I am so lucky to have a hubby that really enjoys garage saling and Flea Market finds, so when he spotted this "window" for $20, he motioned to me and asked if it was something I would be interested in. Obviously I screamed and then offered the guy $10…..we settled on $15.  I had to bring it home and play with it!

Using My Favorite Things BG Patterned Triangles Background and Pigment Ink Pad Sweet Tooth, I stamped onto a pre cut Recollections Chalk Banner.

I added a bit of patterned paper to the top of the banner and then added a couple of flags ….die cut with the Dienamics Blueprints 10 and stamped with Laina Lamb's Picture This stamp set.

On a couple of the flags, I die cut the MFT Dienamics Dizzy Doily and Stitched circle STAX and added a stamped sentiment.  The banner was run through my Cuttlebug using a new Anna Griffin embossing folder and then I added the doily.

The flags each have some twine tied in the corners.  I. love. twine.

I bought a picture hanger set and clothespins from Home Depot - this seems to be the place to be lately hehe - and wired up my window.  I used mainly black and white photos with the odd coloured picture and I LOVE the way it turned out!!

55 more days until we come home and I can give then BIG hugs- woohoo!
