MFTWSC172 - The Rainbow Will Come

Another week and another My Favorite Things sketch challenge!

I turned the sketch around and used a Pure Innocence stamp for my main image.  I saw Michele Boyer's creation and it seemed like a wonderful thing to do!

I stamped the new Pure Innocence Sunny Thoughts with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink - great with copic markers, but I hear that MFT new inks are ALSO wonderful to use with copics - what's a girl to do?!!

I used a different sentiment - one from the a la mode collection called "The Rainbow Will Come".

The background was diecut using the Dienamics Peek-a-Boo Dots and my Vagabond....also the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX came in handy!

I think this would be a great "Get Well" card -or inspiration too!

AEI♥U Challenge#5...Next To You

Good Morning! Are you filled up to the brim with your Easter Dinner?  We had a fabulous family gathering yesterday back on the big river at Ron's brother and wife's home - his mother and three brothers and alllll of their families - minus two - but the larger the family, the more difficult it is to get everyone together - a great day! - gorgeous, sunny and warm.

I have a couple of Avery Elle stamp sets that needed to be put to good use and what better way than a challenge!

Avery Elle I ♥ U Challenge #5 is a colour challenge - here is the graphic

....and here is my take on the subject!

I stamped up the globe from the Love Notes stamp set onto white cardstock with Aqua Mist ink and backed it onto Hawaiian Shores cardstock.

I embossed the sentiment "Next To You is my favorite destination" onto a vellum flag, added some enamel dots and voila!  Isn't that the sweetest little saying?!

I am definitely not a CAS cardmaker, but I was quite satisfied with this baby.....

Enjoy your Easter Monday!

FS376 Nothing is Impossible!

Happy Easter!  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter with friends and family....and chocolate for kicks!

I made a quick card for today's featured stamper at Splitcoaststampers.  The MFT Dienamics Lily is perfect for a CAS card - clean and simple!

I diecut the Lily Dienamics from white cardstock and then coloured each piece with my copic markers.  My daughter loves Tiger lilies so I made these to match....sort of...:)

The background was embossed with the Sun Ray Stencil - and then the coloured pieces of the lily were layered on top.

The sentiment is from Lisa Johnson's gorgeous stamp set called Words of Inspiration - a beautiful set with tons of inspirational sentiments.

I have been chopping and slicing carrots and parsnips allll  morning, and do they ever smell wonderful! Now on to the dessert!

Happy Anniversary!

Good Morning!  Splitcoaststampers has a great inspiration challenge today - as always - and this time the inspiration comes from Marks & Spencer - the children's section.

Over the years, I have always loved their jams and crackers AND the fabulous quality of their clothing.

I chose to be inspired by this sweet little dress - the colours are beautiful and I love how they interact with each other - a great colour combo!

Instead of flowers, I went with butterflies  - I love this Beautiful Butterflies Papertrey Ink stamp set by Maile Belles.

I stamped up some of the butterflies onto Sweet Blush cardstock using Berry Sorbet, Navy (Hero Arts), and Sweet Tooth (My Favorite Things) inks.  The butterfly die is also from the same stamp set - I decided to use a bit of vellum to soften it up!

Thanks for coming around - happy Easter!

Baby Congratulations!

When we were south there were a few babies born around the area, so I am trying to get caught up in the baby congrats area!

My Favorite Things had a great BABY release this past month so of course I capitalized on their product - as is only right - and created a few things.

I am in love with this shaker card!  There is a fabulous video - right here- on how to assemble this shaker card - so easy to follow and it took no time at all.

The Centerpieces Congratulations Shaker Dienamics did all the work - I just had to die cut and assemble!  I had a bit of Bazzill Bling cardstock which I used to diecut the "confetti" - baby rattles, swirls and stars - so perfect!

The safety pin is from Oh Baby Dienamics - another perfect baby die set! I also used a bit of gold for the safety pin with some gold twine to compliment!

The sentiment is from Lisa Johnson's Beautiful Baby stamp set from My Favorite Things - I love it too - I am definitely full of love today haha....

MFT Sketch Challenge

Good Morning - just getting this card in under the wire again!  Between taxes and stamping - well....I know which one I love more, but there is that crazy thing that NEEDS to be done - boooo.

I needed a bit of a break last night so I tackled the My Favorite Things sketch challenge - here is the sketch.....

and here is my card.....I went slightly neutral on this one - but I like the effect - it calms me.

The stamp set, Go Overboard, is from My Favorite Things and is a Dienamics Companion Set - which means that the stamp set has Dienamics that compliment it - Love that!  The Dienamics are called Let's Get Nautical and I used the little "steering wheel" - I don't think that is what it is called lol - as my embellishment.  I topped it with a Sno-Cone button tied with twine.

The background was stenciled with Sweet Tooth ink using the Stripes Stencil and I made the clouds using the MFT Flat Bottom Cloud Dienamics.

More snow today - not liking this at all - c'mon spring - I'm ready for you!

Home is Where Your Heart Is....

Yes, I am still thankful to be home from Florida, even with all the ups and downs in the weather lately....today was beautiful and yesterday we even went golfing at our home course!

I made this card for the Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge - just getting it in under the wire haha...and this week the challenge is...... JOURNEY.  I decided to take the different route ....my journey ended at home, the place I love.

I used the sweet stamp set called "Where the Heart Is" with the coordinating dies - I really love the fact that you can get twice as much fun with a set by using the matching dies!

My patterned paper is the 6 x 6 paper pad "Into the Woods" from Lawn Fawn - these papers actually came in one of my Simon Says Kit of the Month parcels!

Okay, I am booking out so I can link up with the challenge!

How's It Growin'?

Good morning! The sun is shining and it is beautiful at home- COLD, but gorgeous!

I am desperately wanting to get outside to my flower gardens and start pulling the old stuff out - but it is still too soon, however I was inspired to bring out my little spring girlie to colour up for this week's My Favorite Things sketch challenge.

I stamped my Pure Innocence Little Gardener on X-Press it cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured her up with my copic markers.

The fence was die cut from the Sunflower Sweetheart Die-namics set.  I stamped the background with the Western Background stamp, then I cut out the little hill she is standing on using the Snowdrift Border Die-Namic.

I love the patterned paper -and I can't remember where it came from - dang it..

Have a fun day!

Home Sweet Home

YAY! We are home and I am back in my stamping room! Oh how I have missed my little crafty cave.

My daughter, Marcie - who just happens to be Stamping Royalty this year -(so proud!) came over and helped me organize my messy room - she loooooves organizing!

I put together a little card to celebrate our homecoming - I used the MFT backgrounder In The Wilderness- with mountains and everything -(oooo, how I dislike traveling through the mountains of Tennessee....ugh).  I cut the panel with the Blueprints 13 rectangle die - love the stitching and you can be sure that I am going to try to get the Blueprints 14 that is being released this week - wowzers!!

I added the sentiment from Western sentiments, a big ol' Bo Bunny flower with some MFT twine and some Maya Road wooden cars.

Thanks for coming around and I sure hope to be posting a little more frequently!
