Journal Cards....

Good Morning!  I have a couple of bright and sunshiny cards today - I was totally inspired by the Monthly Moments - June collection from Papertrey Ink - such pretty colours!

I created a couple of cards - one for every day and one for anniversary.

I used Papertrey Ink's Pretty Peonies, the 2012 anniversary set, to add a die cut flower and the sentiment 'Anniversary'.

I cut out the journal cards with the Journal Card 2 Die, and layered them behind one another.  I punched a hole in the corner and added some Spring Rain ribbon.  The little sequins are from a Simon Says Stamp set monthly card kit - pretty little gems!

I die cut the word happy using the Pretty Peonies Die Collection which is available to purchase - yay!

The next card was too easy - I just lined up some Papertrey Ink patterned papers, tied some twine around it and added my double layered journal cards - the sentiment had already been journalled!

A few enamelled dots and hearts finished it off! - Perfect and simple!

For the Faithful Friends

Helloooo!  Today's card is made with love.

Lately, for some strange reason, I have been missing my dear departed puppy -- not really a puppy I guess- she was an 8 year old mini Schnauzer, and a feisty one at that.

For the Faithful Friends ....... and this week's Color Throwdown

All supplies are from Papertrey Ink!

I decided to get out my very under used Pet stamps - Come All Ye Faithful and With Sympathy - Loss of a Pet and  I used the cute new stamp set - No Strings Attached for the "twine" - I love the way it looks like real twine - without all the bulk!

I cut my Winter Wisteria cardstock on an angle and impressed it with the Picnic Plaid Impression Plate. Look at the pretty embossing!!

The Tiny Tags Die was used - it sort of reminded me of a dog tag - to "hang" from the bow!

When we first got our Miniature Schnauzer Rosie, I couldn't stand her - too soon after the death of our other dog (whom I adored!.)  Rosie was rambunctious and far too hyper for my liking - she couldn't seem to find her "place".

Needless to say - she turned into the pup that we ALL learned to love and when she died - ugly, nasty tears.  We are so fortunate to live on a farm where a dog is/was a priority - however, now that we travel in the winter - no more dogs - *sniff*

Love is Everything

Woohoo - another Simon Says Stamp Card Kit post - this time my card is created using products from the June 2014 card kit.  I love the little scribble flowers in the Favorite Flowers stamp set!

Simon Says Stamp also has a Wednesday challenge and this week it is all about stencils!

I used my Tim Holtz Distress Inks to water colour the Simon Says Stencil Large Dots and then smooshed it onto some watercolor paper for a rainbow background....

I stamped the flowers with various ink colours and then for the scribble stamp on top, I used Hero Arts Cup o' Joe...a rather lovely shade of brown - if brown can be lovely.

I cut out the flowers and popped them up onto the rainbow background.  The sentiment - which I adore! - is also from the same stamp set!

After rounding the corners I adhered the front of the card to the card base and rounded those corners as well.

I Love You Watts & Watts

I've had this card in my archives for a couple of months - just didn't get around to posting it.  All of the fun ingredients are from Simon Says Stamp Card  Kit.....way back in April!

You can also buy the stamp set itself - but I see it is sold out right now....it's a good one!

A little bit of glitter added to the heart makes it so sweet....

Off to watch the PGA Championship - I love my golf!

Congrats on your New Slugger!

I love this stamp set - Seventh Inning Stretch and am finally getting around to using it - bad me!....(or is that "my bad" lol)

Anyway I decided to create a baby card with the set and make a pair of those sweet little booties from the Papertrey Ink die to match - absolutely love them - simple and easy!

I used different colours of Papertrey Ink felt - I was reminded of my nieces who LOVE to switch it up with their socks - used to drive me crazy  - and now it has served as inspiration!

My daughter says that the booties remind her of Minions - haha!

Thank for visiting!

Make It Monday Coffee & Friends

Just squeaking in with a Papertrey Ink project for Make It Monday - last week!

We were taught how to make these sweet little colourful notebooks - so easy it's ridiculous......

Check out the blogpost here for the great tutorial!

I  chose to use an image and sentiment from the Scent-imentals Stamp Set  and some Papertrey Ink Patterned paper for the front of my cute notebook.

The inside was stamped with a couple of images from Take Note - an oldie but a goodie!

Try out this easy peasy tutorial - quick little gift too!
