Hello Bluebird

Hey there - a little spring card today - I am so sick of this chilly weather, and I just got back from 5 months in Florida!  Winter or even a little shade of it is not for me BAH.

This week's Color Throwdown and "Just Us Girls" Challenge gave me a chance to pull out this sweet stamp set, The Tweet Life, from Reverse Confetti and to me, it celebrates SPRING!

I've been taking a colourful class with Laura Bassen over at Craftsy, and she had - and has - some great techniques!  I wanted to double partial die cut (she also showed this in a Papertrey Ink Make it Monday video) and this little birdie gave me the perfect opportunity to do so.

I copic coloured the little birdie blue, and stamped his polka dot tummy with Orange Zest die ink.  Then I partial die cut following the tips from Laura.  I stamped the sentiment from The Tweet Life in black ink.

On my card base I sponged Simply Chartruese ink and then adhered the die cut tree and leaves.
I shaded in the cute little tree and leaves and then popped up my front panel.

Pop on over to these challenges and try them out - you will be glad you did!!
