It's time to Remind a Sistah!

Have you been Hopping Along our Breast Cancer Awareness Hop??!

Good Day --- it's the 17th of the month again and that means that it is time for the Calling All Sistahs Blog Hop....a hop dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness.

First a little history of this special hop.....Shortly after CAS-ual Fridays owner Michele Gross was diagnosed with breast cancer,  she created Calling All Sistahs to help create breast cancer awareness beyond just the month of October-- by reminding you to do your self exams on the 17th of each month.

It's been one year since Michele was diagnosed so we are concentrating this hop on remembering to check yourself - No Excuses!!

Calling All Sistahs Collection of stamps and dies were designed from the heart to make a difference.

50% of the profits from this collection will be donated to breast cancer research and awareness programs in honor of all who have been, and will be, affected by breast cancer.

This month we are focusing on Reminding You to check yourself, get yourself checked - just anything to be more aware!!

I've created a card using the Calling All Sistahs collection!

I watercolored a panel of Ranger watercolour cardstock using different colours of pinks with my Zig Real Brush Watercolour markers and water - lots of water!

Using the Ruffled Ribbon Die from the Calling All Sistahs collection, I diecut the watercolored panel.  I stamped the ribbon from the Hope Ribbon Stamp Set onto the die cut using Versamagic Ink and embossed the ribbon using white embossing powder.

I stamped the sentiments in Versamark Black Onyx Ink and then adhered the watercolored panel to my hot pink card base.  I laid a piece of black striped Washi Tape along the edge to balance the black sentiments.

I replaced the embossed ribbon diecut using foam tape so that it would pop up a bit.

I finished it off with some enamel dots.

Now you are on to the end of the Hop at the amazing Heather North's blog!!
