May you find Peace

I was playing around with the free with 12 "Simple Little Things" stamp set from Papertrey Ink and I decided to make my own designer paper, again.

I love doing that now! You can make such interesting designs and no one else will have it!

For this paper I just took a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" Lemon Tart cardstock and stamped two of the images on the paper kind of "willy nilly" all over, in Summer Sunrise and Spring Moss ink.

Then I cut it into 4" x 5 1/4" pieces. I like to cut it a little smaller than the regular size card because I love the look of the card base showing, kind of like a border.

For this card I trimmed the designer piece smaller and layered some Spring Moss and Summer Sunrise cardstock behind the homemade designer paper.

I used my corner round on the Summer Sunrise cardstock to create a scalloped edge. Amy Rysavy has an excellent video tutorial on how to make a scalloped edge-check it out!!

I tied a length of Summer Sunrise satin ribbon around the designer paper and glued the three pieces (now one piece) onto the white Stampers Select cardstock..

I stamped one of the sentiments from the Simple Little Things stamp set in versamark and then embossed it with white embossing powder.

I think it is kind of elegant and actually turned out nicer than I had hoped.

Don'tcha just love that!!
