I Could Just Spit!

I laughed out loud when I saw this stamp set, Llama Love, by My Favorite Things.  This sentiment is my favourite and quite appropriate this week for me.

This technique that Tracey is using on her Muse Challenge card is always so fun so I wanted to try it again with Llama Love.

Here is Tracey's card that we are to use as inspiration......cute as a button!

Here is my take on the challenge.

I pretty much stamped every image in the stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto watercolour paper and then worked away at it with my Zig Real Brush markers.  I LOVE the pink Llama's - perfect for Valentine's day!

I heat embossed the sentiment onto black card stock and laughed the whole time I was running my heat gun.....I'm not sure why I think it is so funny - it just IS!

There is a lot of time left for the Muse Challenge - give it a go won't you?

For this week's My Favorite Things sketch challenge, I really wanted to use my new Pure Innocence Roarin' Good Day!

Using the new Dienamics Pure Innocence die - (I LOVE these matching dies - no more fussy cutting - not that it was such a big deal to trim and trim and trim- but this is so much faster yay)…I die cut this cute little tiger - stamped the image with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and coloured her up with my copic markers - very easy with this little image!

By semi-following the sketch ;) and using last month's Free with $60 dies, I die cut my patterned paper and adhered it to my white card base, along with a small strip of Black Licorice card stock along the bottom.

I popped up my coloured image and stamped the sentiment in ALL THAT WHITE SPACE - ugh I have trouble stopping myself from totally filling up that area!

The sweet little diecut paw print was adhered just to satisfy my thirst for all things NOT white space.

White space you can be so evil….

Color Throwdown - Happy Birthday

I have a new stamp set - go figure - from My Favorite Things called Spring Tulips, and I thought I would stamp it up for this week's Color Throwdown.

It is a very quick and easy or clean and simple or just a plain jane card - whichever way - these colours bring out the gorgeousness of the stamps!

I used my Blueprints #1 Dies - I love the large scallops in this rectangle - such an elegant die - and I added a few layers to jazz it up a bit!

I stamped and coloured the pretty tulips with my copic markers and then stamped the sentiment with MFT Black Licorice Hybride Ink - a brilliant black ink….love!

You Have My Heart

I am really in love with Birdie Brown's images lately.  Of course - so is everyone else, which makes it difficult to find the stamps in stock!

I was fortunate to be able to get my hands on this set You Have my Heart from My Favorite Things so I created a card based on the current MFT challenges!

The sketch challenge was interesting - the half circle thingy threw me off for a bit - but I kept thinking about it - the smoke was coming out my ears.

Basing my colours on the current challenge, I stamped and coloured the sweet little girl and her dog, with my copic markers.  YouTube has a great tutorial on colouring this image - with Nicole Magouirk- so I pretty much followed it to a tee.

Then I die cut it with the Circle Stax.  Using one of the dies from Blueprints 20,  I cut a purple row of X's and then adhered it to my card.

I stamped the sentiment above the purple strip and stamped the little heart right beneath.  I coloured the heart and added some glossy accents to make it puff out a bit.

Finally, I popped up the image on the side as per the sketch and tied some Blueberry twine around the top to match the Blueberry Prestige card stock.

Happy Birthday!

A lady in our park celebrated her 81st birthday so I made a card - Birthday = card right?

I used My Favorite Things Blueprints Dies 15 plus the Stamp set and dies from Papertrey Ink's Happiness is Bloom.

Add a few Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and some pretty twine and buttons and you have yourself a card!

Online Card Class Homework

Well, here it is  Day 5 of the Clean & Simple Techniques Made Simple, and I have finished a total of 2 projects - but I have lots of time to go over the lessons again as they are forever available to students yay!

Today's lesson was fun - so check it out! I can't tell you….lol

I haven't added it to a card base as of yet, but that is coming soon.

I used My Favorite Things Dienamics LOVE die (no link found) for my background and the arrow from Tag Builder Blueprints 3 

The heart stamp is from Reverse Confetti's Heart to Heart and it is stamped in MFT's Ripe Raspberry Premium Dye Ink.

Wherever You Go…..

For Valentine's Day….because it is just around the corner right?

I am taking the Creative Card Online Class and did one of the techniques that were shown in their fabulous videos…..but alas, I failed miserably at the technique - I think I used the wrong ink or something important like that :)

Anyway, it still turned out kind of cute!

I totally inked a white piece of card stock with MFT's new Ripe Raspberry Dye Ink by running the ink pad upside down onto the sheet of paper - and by totally, I mean the whole piece of paper - I'm not being rad or anything like that….HAH!  I sponged Simon Says Stamp's ink - Hot Lips -  around the edges to create a bit of red.

I stamped MFT's Tiny Hearts background with Versamark ink - this is the part where the magic was supposed to happen - and didn't - dang it.

I used the car from Reverse Confetti's Here We Go Confetti Cuts  and die cut it only halfway, so that I would still have it attached to my card stock.  I then stamped the car with Simon Says Stamp Fossil ink.  I die cut and stamped the wheels with Papertrey Ink Smokey Shadow ink and popped them up onto the car.

Using the sentiment from the Here We Go set, I stamped it in Smokey Shadow ink and popped up that strip onto my card base.

The little hearts are from Simon Says Stamps Holiday Shapes Die - love it!

Color Throwdown #327- Play!

Hey bloggers! It's time for another Color Throwdown - and darn it, my last post as a Guest Designer .

This week was a trial for me eeks!- Wanda provided a beautiful inspiration photo but I had a heck of a time - ever have that problem?

Anyway, I persevered and managed to come up with a cutie!!

I began by adhering a panel of lime polka dot patterned paper diagonally across my card base and stamping the sentiment in lime ink along the edge.  I then added another couple of strips of paper.

After assembling MFT's All-Star High Tops Die-namics  from the chosen colours of card stock into  two different shoes - and why not,  I popped them up onto the front.  

I stamped and fussy cut the PLAY word from Winnie & Walter's The Big, The Bold and Fun and popped it up onto my card.  A couple of sequins brought this card to an end.

And that’s all from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge…...just use the closest colours that you have.

The Color Throwdown- It's New Year!

Using The Alley Way Stamps set "Out of this World",  I stamped and snipped the perfect sentiment and squitched (my newest word) it under my MFT die-namics vellum flower, which is attached to my die-namics  heart - which I can't find to link up - so sorry.

I used a bit of creative placement with my Zva bling and Pretty Pink Posh sequins, and added them using my Quickstik tool - an absolutely necessity - so easy to use!

Welcome Baby!

Yes, it is another baby card!! - there seems to be a wonderful Baby Boom around our area - proof of God's love and that life goes on.

I followed the colour challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week - my colours are Melon Berry, Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado.

I partially stenciled the MFT Spring Flowers stencil with Melon Berry ink and then adhered the panel to Melon Berry cardbase. I swiped everything with Chai ink to give it a good grounding.

I die cut the scallops with the MFT Medium Simply Scallop Dienamics and adhered them to the card.  Then I die cut and stamped the MFT Onesie with the Beautiful Baby stamp set, and ended with a Melon Berry bow at the top - loving that satin ribbon!!  The addition of enamel dots was perfect - imho.......

Good Times Colour Challenge!

Good morning - today I decided to chip in with the Splitcoaststampers colour challenge - here are the beautiful colours

I decided to use my Happy Camper Dienamics - I am definitely NOT a camper but I do love this Dienamics set!

I diecut the camper from white cardstock and then, with some scraps, I diecut the accent pieces with reds and yellows.  I used a copic marker to dot along the side of the camper.

The flowers are from the Artist's Palette Die-namics.  I diecut the splotches of paint and used my stylus to indent them a bit to give them some depth to look like flowers.  I adhered a couple of flowers with dimensionals onto the patterned paper which also has some die cut blades of grass from the Tall Grassy Edge Dienamics.

The Accent It Celebrate Dienamics is so cool - It has four words and one of them was Good Times - and for some people I am sure camping is a great time - just not me LOL!

CAS Challenge Baby!!

Good Morning and another gorgeous morning in beautiful Southwestern Ontario!

I had the most wonderful Mother's Day ever yesterday!! - Our whole family, along with Ron's mother and my mother were here with us to celebrate the baptism of our grandson, Gibson.  It was a fabulous day, with family and extended family everywhere - my heart is FULL!!

This morning I played in the CAS Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.  We were challenged to use three out of five of these beautiful colours.  I chose to go gender neutral by using only the greens and the yellow.

I used My Favorite Things Bokeh Builder stamp set and MFT Dienamics Oh Baby!

I didn't think that  Bokeh Builder would be my forte - all those dots that you have to stamp in a certain place - yikes!! But - let me tell you - this set is fabulous because the dots are joined together so that you don't have to think too much about placement!!

Love it - there are also one of two single dots that you can use to fill in - It really made it so much simpler - yes, my brain is not that type of brain lol

I also used some Lemon Tart ribbon - I love twine but I am IN love with ribbon - always have been - always will be!

MFTWSC172 - The Rainbow Will Come

Another week and another My Favorite Things sketch challenge!

I turned the sketch around and used a Pure Innocence stamp for my main image.  I saw Michele Boyer's creation and it seemed like a wonderful thing to do!

I stamped the new Pure Innocence Sunny Thoughts with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink - great with copic markers, but I hear that MFT new inks are ALSO wonderful to use with copics - what's a girl to do?!!

I used a different sentiment - one from the a la mode collection called "The Rainbow Will Come".

The background was diecut using the Dienamics Peek-a-Boo Dots and my Vagabond....also the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX came in handy!

I think this would be a great "Get Well" card -or inspiration too!

FS376 Nothing is Impossible!

Happy Easter!  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter with friends and family....and chocolate for kicks!

I made a quick card for today's featured stamper at Splitcoaststampers.  The MFT Dienamics Lily is perfect for a CAS card - clean and simple!

I diecut the Lily Dienamics from white cardstock and then coloured each piece with my copic markers.  My daughter loves Tiger lilies so I made these to match....sort of...:)

The background was embossed with the Sun Ray Stencil - and then the coloured pieces of the lily were layered on top.

The sentiment is from Lisa Johnson's gorgeous stamp set called Words of Inspiration - a beautiful set with tons of inspirational sentiments.

I have been chopping and slicing carrots and parsnips allll  morning, and do they ever smell wonderful! Now on to the dessert!

Baby Congratulations!

When we were south there were a few babies born around the area, so I am trying to get caught up in the baby congrats area!

My Favorite Things had a great BABY release this past month so of course I capitalized on their product - as is only right - and created a few things.

I am in love with this shaker card!  There is a fabulous video - right here- on how to assemble this shaker card - so easy to follow and it took no time at all.

 

The Centerpieces Congratulations Shaker Dienamics did all the work - I just had to die cut and assemble!  I had a bit of Bazzill Bling cardstock which I used to diecut the "confetti" - baby rattles, swirls and stars - so perfect!

The safety pin is from Oh Baby Dienamics - another perfect baby die set! I also used a bit of gold for the safety pin with some gold twine to compliment!

The sentiment is from Lisa Johnson's Beautiful Baby stamp set from My Favorite Things - I love it too - I am definitely full of love today haha....
