The Card Concept 2nd Year Anniversary!

It is The Card Concept's 2nd Year Anniversary!  There is a beautiful inspiration photo piece with which to be inspired plus some prizes - so let's get at it!

I'm going to throw this out there and say my card goes under the Classy and Elegant theme - what do you think?

I used a few older stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms that I have had for a few years- Aged Sheet Music 6 x 6 stamp and Ticking Backgrounder - they just seemed perfect to use for this challenge!

The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps - another company that is closing it's doors - I have many fond memories of WMS since I was once a Design Team member- such beautiful people….

Also - after raiding my drawers (craft drawers) I found some Prima Flowers.  I used Papertrey Ink Branching Out die for my leaves and then tied it all together with some beautiful ribbon and pearls!

Take a ride over to The Card Concept and see what you can do with this gorgeous photo!!

BOO!! Hee Hee Hee!!

Oh boy - it is Hallowe'en tomorrow night and I just now have finished my treat bags for my grandchildren - yikes!

We have three grandchildren - but I made four bags because there will be someone - probably me - who needs to have a big bag of treats....

I am linking this up with this week's Fusion Challenge - {Something Wicked This Way Comes....or Not}  I decided to be inspired by the photo - although there is a great sketch that is available to use also!

Here is the fabulous inspiration!

Lots of goody -ness to see today.....HAH!!  Strange what a simple Kraft bag can do if you just throw on some pretty  papers :)

I used Waltzingmouse Stamps, Papertrey Ink cardstock and patterned paper and beautiful checkered ribbon from the Stamp Simply Store - I have yards and yards of that beautiful prettiness!!

Lots of fun - be very careful out there tomorrow night! but have fun!

Monday Morning Makes - on Wednesday!

Good day!  Claire from Waltzingmouse Stamps has issued a challenge to all interested Waltzingmouse Stamp users -- play along!

If you have seen this technique on the blogs and have wondered about trying it out - me too! I decided it was time to delve into the Chalkboard Style Challenge and although I started out kicking and screaming -From Millan.Net I decided that it is so easy - I should have been doing it years ago - or whenever.....

I gathered several Waltzingmouse Stamp sets which I thought would have an interesting focal point and also contain little doo-dads to use along the way....

Now I must say that I did get carried away with the last step - that is rubbing the white ink over certain parts of the card -From Millan.Net

I kept thinking - "well this needs to stand out a bit, and this could use some more ink"..... anyway I think I may have just inked myself into fogginess Lol!

Well anyway I did give it a try and would love it if you would too - just link your WMS entry up here!

Love is All We Need

Good Day and welcome to Waltzingmouse Stamps monthly Blog Party!

ETA: Some exciting news!! Waltzingmouse Stamps is getting the Moxie Fab Stamp of Approval today on Cath's blog - go and check it out for your chance to win some stamps!!

Okay on to my business! On the 17th of every month anyone who uses Waltzingmouse Stamps (and I presume that is all of you!) can join in and create something that goes along with our theme of the month.

This month our theme is LOVE!

I pulled out my Woodgrain Stamp set along with My Heart and Vintage Garden - Flowers and made my LOVE card!

Using Spellbinders Labels 8 Nestabilities, I die cut the two largest dies. The largest was used for my card base and the next smallest was used for my card front.

I used Hibiscus Burst Ink and stamped the Hyacinth image from Vintage Garden - Flowers on to Vintage Cream cardstock to make a toile background.

Then I stamped and cut out a couple of the heart images and the banner image, and stamped the sentiment in black.

I had to add a black button and some twine because I just HAD to, along with some faux stitching!

Thanks for coming around - be sure to check out the rest of the Blog Party starting at 1:30 pm eastern time!

WMS Preview Day Two - My Heart and Woodenheart Alphabet

Good day and welcome to Day Two of Waltzingmouse Stamps December previews!

Today we are previewing My Heart and Woodenheart Alphabet, two sets that follow in the steps of the woodgrain theme!

I have a lot of pictures for you today so grab your drink of choice - coffee, tea, wine and join me won't you?

Awhile ago, I had bought a set of glass coasters that had an alterable middle portion, sooooo what's a girl to do? :)

The alterable portion measured 2" x 3" - not a lot to work with but I thought it would be do-able.....and it was.....

The hearts are from "My Heart" and the sentiment and letters are from the "Woodenheart Alphabet".

I used the letters "B" for Bonnie (me) and "R" for Ron - my hubby - the love of my life......sorry about the glare on the glass coasters -

Now - don't forget to find your way around to the other girls - their designs are fabulous as always!!

WMS Preview Day One - Woodgrain Backgrounder Set

Good day and welcome to Day One of Waltzingmouse Stamps December Release! We have three days of release previews along with our regular Release Day Waltz (with prizes!) on Day Four!

Today we are previewing Woodgrain Backgrounder Set.....

For my first card I am showing you the big backgrounder - there are six lovely images in this backgrounder set!

I stamped the large background stamp with Jellybean ink onto Jellybean cardstock, and then, using a die, I cut it into three pieces. I then put it all back together, adhering it onto Fine Linen cardstock.

The sentiment is from Teeny Trees and is stamped onto the banner stamp which I fussy cut out of Vintage Cream cardstock.

I added some Prima ribbon flowers along with some gorgeous sheer ribbon from Ribbon Carousel, Divine Twine and a Spring Moss Button.

My second couple of cards are the same - but different :)

I used one of the stamps from the Woodgrain Backgrounder Stamp Set for the background, choosing to stamp in Winter Wisteria and Hawaiian Shores.

I added a cupcake sentiment plus a shiny die cut for a special celebration effect!

Be sure to take a look at the other designer's fabulous creations today. We also have some of our other designers showcasing their sets on the 4th , 5th and 6th of December - WOWZERS!! a whole week of WMS - how wonderful!!

Let Us Give Thanks

Good Morning and welcome to another Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party!

Our theme this month is Gratitude....

I stamped up three sets on this card - can you see them? The first layer is a backgrounder from Way Out West stamped in Soft Stone - just to give it a bit of dimension.

My next layer is the leaves from Big Blooms - Chrysanthemums stamped in Spring Moss, Classic Kraft and Canyon Clay - love those colours together!

And last, but certainly not least, is the image from Bountiful Baskets Additions with the basket stamped onto Kraft cardstock, cut out and then popped up on to the pumpkins!

Won't you join us in this month's Blog Party?!  Just create something that entails Gratitude with Waltzingmouse Stamps of course - if you don't have any of WMS stamps Claire has some freebies for you right here!

On a different note, I don't know why my blog post has so many colours all over it - Blogger is being a wee bit of a pain......lol

Blossoming Health!

Good Morning - long time no see!

I am getting ready for our craft sale season so that is why my blog is lagging - but my creating certainly has not been!

I made this sweet little get well card for the Hope You Can Cling to Challenges this year.  These are so easily mass-produced - endless!

I used Waltzingmouse Stamps Vintage Garden Seed Packet for the flower and the included sentiment!

A bit of sewing and some Divine Twine and it was done - simple and fast - just the way I like it!!

Well, back to stamping - thanks for visiting today!

WMS Release Day!

Welcome to Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz - this is our final preview day - our last set is called Candy Wagon and is so cute!!

If you came from Belinda's Blog you are on the right track - if you are just stopping in, welcome to my blog and I hope you can join in the Waltzing fun! Claire has all the participants on her blog, so if you get lost - go to Claire - she knows everything lol!

I stamped the Candy Wagon onto a white cardstock diecut and then stamped the little sign and lollipops in a different colour.

I adhered it onto a Kraft cardstock diecut and did a bit of sewing around the edges.

For my background I stamped the new Cabin Plain stamp onto white cardstock and sewed it onto the Kraft card base.

I added a few diecut trees and some grass to make it look like a little scene in the woods....but then I got thinking about Hansel and Gretel and that wasn't good either lol.  Some beautiful ribbon and a couple of stick pins were added to make it pretty!

I made a couple of sour cream containers to match - you will see it says Fresh Plucked Eyeballs - I gave these to my grandchildren for Hallowe'en. Six year old Jake just giggled and loved it! - Four year old Robin just wanted the candy lol!

Okay now you are off to the fabulously talented Sandie Dunne! Have fun - and don't forget to comment so you have a chance to win a new stamp set!!

WMS Preview Day Three - Sheriff, Half Pint Heroes Additions and Cabin Plaid

Woohoo! How are you liking the sneak peeks so far? Aren't they fun!?

Today we are previewing three sets for you - Sheriff, Half Pint Heroes additions and Cabin Plaid!

First up - Sheriff.....

I had a little help with this card - I also used a sentiment from Back in the Saddle and the background set - Way Out West on my card base to compliment my card.......such an easy choice!

Using Kraft cardstock and Memento Rich Cocoa Ink, I stamped the Sheriff's badge and cut it out.

I then stamped the badge again and the word "Sheriff" in the middle, onto Rustic Cream cardstock using Versamark ink and embossed it in fine detail gold embossing powder.

I popped up the "badge" onto my card base, added some gold sticky back gems and tied it with some Waltzingmouse twine!

My next project is Half Pint Heroes Additions - yay!! One of my favorite sets is Half Pint Heroes and this is a great complimentary set!!

Isn't he just the cutest?!! This set is a small set that comes with the highly loved sentiment from Half Pint Heroines only with a masculine take on it....

Thanks for visiting today and please take a boo around at the other Waltzingmouse Stamps Designers who have their own fabulous designs for you today!!

WMS Preview Day Two-Compliments of the Season 2

.......and Vintage Christmas Background! - I couldn't fit that all in my title lol!

We have another fabulously large backgrounder being previewed today!

Sometimes, with a large stamp, it is difficult to get a great impression...

This is how I ink up a large backgrounder -

- I inked up the stamp - without taking it off of the plastic backing

- I laid my Rustic Cream cardstock on top of the stamp and laid a piece of scrap paper over top of that,

- with my hand, smoothed the whole thing over top.

When I peeled it off of the stamp - this is the look that I got - FULL coverage and a delightful imprint!

I paired it up with a couple of Red Velvet bags from Pouch Mart - adding a white felt die-cut Poinsetta edged in gold glitter!

My card features a red poinsettia with a red sentiment trimmed with gold sticky back gems!

For my second project today, I had a shaker ornament that was laying around and decided to see what I could do with it.

I stamped up one of the sentiments from Compliments of the Season 2 with Versamark and using silver fine detail embossing powder, I embossed the sentiment.

Then I inserted it into the shaker ornament, and along with some ribbon, lace and clear sticky back gems- so pretty!

Thank you for joining me today - here are the other WMS Designers who are showcasing these sets today!
