CAS-ual Fridays New Release Sneak Peek Day Five!

Hey there everyone - today is the last day of sneak peeks for CAS-ual Fridays new releases- tonight at midnight all product will be up in the store for sale - YAY!!

…..and did you know that every day of the sneak peeks there has been a new question on the CAS-ual Fridays blog to answer?  You have until 9:00 pm April 29 - aacckkkk - that's today!! to answer the questions and you will be eligible for a gift code to the store woohoo!

Now onto the pretty stuff!

Today's post is all about the backgrounds!  We have a new one called Tin Roof - which can be used vintage-y, modern, classy - whichever way suits your fancy.

I decided to go very black and white - and just be classy with my creation today.

I had a little help with our Pretty Posies sentiments from our new release and Casual Trees Fri-Dies for my embellishments, choosing to tuck those sweet trees into cute little grouping of Prima flowers.

I stamped the sentiment onto a slip of white cardstock and backed it with black cardstock.

I adhered baby blue seam binding ribbon and silver twine onto a doily (from the stationary section at the grocery store haha) and then added my flowers with the attached sentiment.

Then the doily etc. was adhered to my Tin Roof stamped background which was in turned glued onto white cardstock and a Soft Stone card base.

This creation may take a bit of extra padding (and/or postage) but wouldn't it be totally worth it?!!

I hope you have enjoyed our creations this week - I know I have had a grand time playing with all the new product - have fun shopping!!

Get Well Soon - Color Throwdown!

Just popping in to post a creation for Color Throwdown 319....absolutely Love these colours!

I used my Echo Park - We Are Family new patterned paper and some Raspberry Fizz cardstock for the bones of my card.

Of course the die cut flower and vine are from My Favorite Things - fabulous flower dies!

The sentiment is from the Papertrey Ink Bigger Blooms stamp set.

I stamped it onto a diecut piece of cardstock using Circle 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts.  I really like the way this die cut adds an embossed circle to the scalloped circle.

I also added a few sequins to add a bit of zippa-dee-doo-dah!!

Off to golf in the wonderful Florida sun - don't hate me....

Make It Monday - Brighter Days

Good morning - another Monday - another Make it Monday at Papertrey Ink!  I love how these techniques encourage you to at least try to do something different. I love to just stamp - stamp. stamp. stamp....but once in awhile branching out is a good thing.

This week we went back to Paper Weaving - I remember making placemats - many moon ago - in elementary school. I'm sure my mom still has them somewhere ;)

I used various Papertrey Ink patterned papers, cut into strips and just started weaving.  I decided it would be best used as a background......so I paired it up with Tag Sale #10.

I had already coloured and die cut one of the roses from Year of Flowers Collection, so I popped it up onto the die.  The sentiment is from Healing Touch Sentiments - I love this font!

I used a few little rainstones and sequins for an embellishment!

WMS Preview Day One - Woodgrain Backgrounder Set

Good day and welcome to Day One of Waltzingmouse Stamps December Release! We have three days of release previews along with our regular Release Day Waltz (with prizes!) on Day Four!

Today we are previewing Woodgrain Backgrounder Set.....

For my first card I am showing you the big backgrounder - there are six lovely images in this backgrounder set!

I stamped the large background stamp with Jellybean ink onto Jellybean cardstock, and then, using a die, I cut it into three pieces. I then put it all back together, adhering it onto Fine Linen cardstock.

The sentiment is from Teeny Trees and is stamped onto the banner stamp which I fussy cut out of Vintage Cream cardstock.

I added some Prima ribbon flowers along with some gorgeous sheer ribbon from Ribbon Carousel, Divine Twine and a Spring Moss Button.

My second couple of cards are the same - but different :)

I used one of the stamps from the Woodgrain Backgrounder Stamp Set for the background, choosing to stamp in Winter Wisteria and Hawaiian Shores.

I added a cupcake sentiment plus a shiny die cut for a special celebration effect!

Be sure to take a look at the other designer's fabulous creations today. We also have some of our other designers showcasing their sets on the 4th , 5th and 6th of December - WOWZERS!! a whole week of WMS - how wonderful!!

Blossoming Health!

Good Morning - long time no see!

I am getting ready for our craft sale season so that is why my blog is lagging - but my creating certainly has not been!

I made this sweet little get well card for the Hope You Can Cling to Challenges this year.  These are so easily mass-produced - endless!

I used Waltzingmouse Stamps Vintage Garden Seed Packet for the flower and the included sentiment!

A bit of sewing and some Divine Twine and it was done - simple and fast - just the way I like it!!

Well, back to stamping - thanks for visiting today!

Something Fishy?

Good day and welcome!  Another day, another dollar lol! Another dollar (or two) spent that is!!

Today I have a card that I made for the My Favorite Things sketch challenge and the Moxie Fab Paper Piecing Challenge! and the Stamping With Markers Challenge!

I used my a la mode Something Fishy stamp and made a somewhat masculine Get Well card.

My paper is from the Basic Grey Marjolaine 6 x 6 paper pad. I paper pieced the little lady's shirt and part of the fish. I then popped up the fish and her boots that were stamped separately, coloured with copics and cut out!!

The little leaves at the top of the fishing pole is from the EK Success punch!

Thanks for coming around today!!

Feel Better Soon......

A Feel Better Soon card in the Colour Challenge colours. Today's colours were Kraft, Basic Black and Real Red - a lovely combo if I do say so myself!

Kim Hughes stamp set Comforting Hugs was what I used today - such a cute "do all" set for feeling good - and from Emma's Paperie, my Jenni Bowlin papers that are so cute!! - this set of papers comes already in 4 x 4 so you just have to plunk it on your paper!

I stamped the broken heart in Brilliance Black and then coloured it with a lipstick red copic.

My plan was to add my chili pepper red fun flock, and, if you are like me, you don't want to leave your flocking abilities to chance and expect it to be even. So if you colour it first and then add the flock - it still looks uniformly red!! - kapeesh??!!

And really, nothing says "feel better soon" like flock!! I think my grandma told me that one time....

And check out that cuddly ribbon! I got that in a ribbon share with
Jody Morrow - such a perfect fuzzy wuzzy ribbon - guaranteed to make you feel better! Don't you think?!!

I used my new - FINALLY got them!! - label dies from Spellbinders, which were on pre-order like forevah!! - I mean really, these were advertised back in JULY.........'nuff said. Perhaps I am meant to really appreciate them now.......ooops.....'nuff said......and I do!..........oops.

Look what greeted us this morning!! Isn't it pretty??!! That is the barn waaaaaaaaaaaayy in the background where the I go and gather the eggs. trudge. trudge. trudge. sliiiip....... trudge. trudge.
