Wherever You Go…..

For Valentine's Day….because it is just around the corner right?

I am taking the Creative Card Online Class and did one of the techniques that were shown in their fabulous videos…..but alas, I failed miserably at the technique - I think I used the wrong ink or something important like that :)

Anyway, it still turned out kind of cute!

I totally inked a white piece of card stock with MFT's new Ripe Raspberry Dye Ink by running the ink pad upside down onto the sheet of paper - and by totally, I mean the whole piece of paper - I'm not being rad or anything like that….HAH!  I sponged Simon Says Stamp's ink - Hot Lips -  around the edges to create a bit of red.

I stamped MFT's Tiny Hearts background with Versamark ink - this is the part where the magic was supposed to happen - and didn't - dang it.

I used the car from Reverse Confetti's Here We Go Confetti Cuts  and die cut it only halfway, so that I would still have it attached to my card stock.  I then stamped the car with Simon Says Stamp Fossil ink.  I die cut and stamped the wheels with Papertrey Ink Smokey Shadow ink and popped them up onto the car.

Using the sentiment from the Here We Go set, I stamped it in Smokey Shadow ink and popped up that strip onto my card base.

The little hearts are from Simon Says Stamps Holiday Shapes Die - love it!

S-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g Myself!

My title sounds like I am exercising doesn't it? You should know I wouldn't do that.......

The Limited Supplies Challenge this week is to use two or more things on your card that are a "stretch" - or difficult and different for you to do!

The Ways to Use It Challenge is to use fabric on your card, so I am combining the two challenges!




Well, my "stretch" is definitely using (or not using) white space! And my other stretch is using purple - I am NOT a purple lover so I thought I better use it today, so I don't have to use it again!! lol!

I used one of my yo-yo flowers (made of fabric, that I absolutely love and I made at my on-line embellishment class with Tania Willis at Get It Scrapped!

I also used PURPLE as in Plum Pudding satin ribbon from Papertrey Ink and attached the yo-yo flower by tacking it down over top of the PURPLE bow.

When I was at Marcie's house playing looking after my grandbabies, I was able to sneak out her Stamping Up Top Note die that I got online (LUV that!) for her for Christmas, and play with it (sporadically). I cut out a bunch of the dies so I would have them for future use - like right now!

I only used half of the top note die cut so that I would be able to show white space - that is a S-T-R-E-T-C-H for me! and I ran it through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder before adhering it to the Stamper's Select white card base.

I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Deep Lagoon - I have had that stamp pad for two years and it is still wet and juicy - yay! The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's stamp set Heart Prints, that I just got yesterday and I love it already!

Here is a close up of that sweet little yo yo! Oh. sorry. You thought it was going to be my hubby didn't you! ROFL!! (good thing he is away for a few days.......)

More handmade embellishments!!

Our next class at Debbie Hodge's Get it Scrapped site was a felt embellishment class!!

Tania had provided some templates and I also had my Cuttlebug flower dies, so together with the two of those things I made some flowers out of felt!

I found out that buying cheap felt is NOT a good thing LOL! It falls apart AND you can see through it because it is soooooo thin......of course I didn't realize that when I bought it (I did NOT!)

Tania had shown us some examples and so I had to copy and made a headband for Holly, which she thought was pretty cool......

There is always time to sign up for the class. Ten classes over 5 weeks and the best part is they are all downloadable so you can have them forever!!

Button, Button, !!

The on-line class I am taking at get it scrapped! online classes and taught by the talented Tania Willis had a class all about making chipboard buttons!

It just happened to fit into the theme for the Ways to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers too, which was to be creative with Patterned Paper!



I used my 1" punch to punch out patterned paper and chipboard, as per Tania's easy to use instructions! - glue them together - add dazzling diamond glaze and VOILA!! you have buttons!!

Well, not quite that simple - but if you take the class you will see how "not simple but not hard" it is!!

WooHoo!!! Online Class and the challenge!

You KNOW I like on-line classes! I did a few classes through Cornish Heritage Farms and loved them!

So, guess what???........I WON an on-line class at Get It Scrapped!!

It is all about making your own embellishments and you also KNOW that I love all sorts of doo-dads and knickie knackie thingie ma bobbies, so this is just perfect for me!!

So the classes started this week and are taught by Tania Willis and are so amazingly easy (so far that is) I mean her directions are phenomenol and basic and fabulous!

The first class that was offered was on Tuesday and we had wonderful instructions to make yo yo's, which, between you and me I kind of froze up-- KWIM? I'm thinking, do I need to know how to run a skillsaw for this class????!

Notta, nope. Just a pair of scissors. and a needle and thread - well technically embroidery floss, which, thanks to the supply list, I had a lot of.......

So here they are - the yo-yo's - aren't they just so pretty! and delicious!!??





So I made my card for the Ways to Use It challenge today....you had to pick colours from the colour wheel and the colour wheel just happened to have the same colours as a couple of the yoyo's .........so there you go........ You never know when you might need a yoyo!

I picked the Friction colour theme which is here and based my colours on that theme as per the challenge.
