Just putt-putting' along…..

Good Morning!  This is my 2nd post of the day (I know right??!!)  Please scroll down for the Cas-ual Fridays New Release Post!

I was a challenge winner at The Challenge last week and I was asked to be their guest designer for this week - and I am very happy to join you!

And then - it was MASCULINE week - argghhh!!  By far this is not anyone's favourite kind of challenge - but we all need a manly card once in awhile so this is the perfect opportunity to get one going!

Here is the inspiration photo - fabulous I might add!

I really, really, really wanted to make an airplane related card - two reasons - the inspiration photo being one AND my hubby used to own two Piper Cubs - so fun to go for a fly with him in the wild blue yonder - very peaceful when we were just putt-putting along….

I pulled out an older Cat's Pajamas stamp set that needed some loving called "Take Off"- and inked it up!

Using copic markers, I coloured the image and then fussy cut the sweet little bunny and plane.  I popped it up onto various patterned papers and added the sentiment a few times following the contour of the "hill".

Thank you to "The Challenge" for allowing me to show off my stuff!  Now why don't you fly over to The Challenge and enter your masculine creation!!

Edited to Add:  I forgot to mention that my sketch is from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge this week - I just turned it around backward to suit my purposes!

This is another card made for the Hope You Can Cling To - challenge for breast cancer patients and their families! Check it out at Splitcoaststampers - the little blinkie is on my sidebar!

I used The Cat's Pajamas "Aye Aye Captain"- a long neglected stamp set, but so cute and a breeze to colour!  I cut him out and tucked him in behind some Crate Paper Pier One patterned papers.

I used Papertrey Ink's Stitched Rectangle dies for my base and popped up my main image to make it a bit more pronounceable....I added a bit of glossiness to his hat - he is stylin'!!

I don't think I have ever played in the Play Date Cafe Challenge and so guess what? Today is the day!

I love green. I love green. I love green!!........and just LOOK at today's challenge!!

And, using Papertrey Ink's On the Links stamp set , I created this clean and simple card.......

The Cloud die is from The Cat's Pajamas CutUp dies - did you know they have dies??  They are fabulous!

Well, I am up to my ears in pickles and peppers......so gotta run....canning season - love the smells!

Sending Teapot Hugs!

My card today is for the Tuesday Teapot Challenge. This week's challenge was to create an outdoors scene and since I just received my new The Cat's Pajamas stamps I decided to use them! yay!

I inked up Aye, Aye Captain, and stamped the image onto Copic Xpress cardstock. I stamped the boat only again, and coloured and cut out the oar and set it aside.

I coloured the image and added some "waves" using the TCP Apron CutUp die.  I stamped the Blueberry Sky cardstock first with the WMS polkadot background stamp - to add a bit of interest.

The oar was placed in between the waves and adhered.  The Heart Trio Cut-Up was die cut from Pure Poppy cardstock and then I popped up the middle heart!

Inside I added some clouds die cut with the Cloud Border CutUps- I love it!

Good Morning!

Yesterday Inspiration Challenge on SCS was inspired by BHLDN!

I used this photo as my inspiration.....

And.......here is my take on it!

I used The Cat's Pajamas "Gimme Some Sugar" stamp set. I started out by stamping the image twice, onto Stampers Select cardstock.

I coloured and cut out the hat and popped it up to add dimension - when I think about it, I should have cut out the little 5 cent ticket and popped it up too! Dang it.....too late....

I also stamped the banner onto scrap patterned paper, cut them out and popped them up. The little sweets, I stamped separately and coloured. I stamped the lollipop image twice and popped it up too - Lots of popping going on today!! 

I die cut some clouds and grass with The Cat's Pajamas cloud and grass CutUPs  and traced around the clouds with my Sakura glitter pen - LOVE it!! Using my Crafts Too embossing folder, I embossed some sweet little hearts onto the grass!

The "ribbon" is actually some Flair Designs paper ribbon - peel and stick and easy!

IC321, I Love You

Boy, Today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers had me in heaven!- The store is Called Everything Turquoise and it is just loaded with every shade of beautiful turquoise you can imagine!

The point of an inspiration challenge is to see a photo and be inspired by it - I actually was inspired to pretty much copy the Thank You cards that you see in this photo here! 

I sewed around my edge and added hearts to the nest instead of eggs - I thought it was pretty clever hah! and besides, it also meets The Cat's Pajamas challenge which is called Hearts Have It and Susan has challenged us to use TCP stamps and Cutups with hearts in/on it!

Absolutely NO Peeking!

Just a cute little number from The Cat's Pajamas stockpile of stamps that I own! 

Using "Peeking" I entered last week's challenge from Lori Techler via TCP which was a pretty colour challenge!

I think that might be a Stamping Up! Melon which I don't have, so I went with more of a peachy melon - like a muskmelon!

Using Kaisercraft and Cosmo Cricket designer papers, I paper pieced the little present, colouring and cutting out his little hands to pop up onto the gift!

I used my Janome Mini sewing machine to sew around the edges and then zig zagged the straight border.

This sketch is from My Favorite Things - one of my favorite sketches to use - a keeper for sure!

I Love You!

I am feeling much better today and thank you for all of your well wishes! I love the Stamping Community - yay!

I am way behind of The Cat's Pajamas challenges so I combined two of them together - you probably can't legally do that, but it is done and I like it!

The first challenge was the inspiration challenge which included this inspirational photo

absolutely FULL of hearts! The second week's challenge was embossing - any kind so I fulfilled that requirement too!! woohoo!

Anyway....enough of the woohoo's here is my card

Isn't that little penguin the sweetest ever?!! He is just begging to have a huge hug!! The stamp is called "Got Love?" - love the penguins because if you are not up to colouring - then these are the stamps for you - minimal!!

My papers are from a HUGE 12 x 12 paper pad from My Mind's Eye and I bought it at my Local Scrapbook Store - The Paper Pickle - yay Pickle!!

Merry Fishmas!

Wow! I really was bringing this down to the wire with this card! I love to play in The Cat's Pajamas challenges every week......so yesterday morning I discovered that I was a bit behind and put together this little doo-hickey!

 

I was thrilled to received my new stamps on Friday, and this little penguin (as are all the little penguin's) is not too much to colour - so double yay!

The challenge was to use one of The Cat's Pajamas images to make a Christmas card and the CutUps die they were pairing it with was the BIG Scallop! I don't own the Big Scallop so I used my EK Success bracket punch.

I also used my new Anywhere Ribbon Slide CutUp - so fun!

I did a bit of sewing, added a button with twine and presto! done!

Now I am off to find out what the new challenge is for this week! -

Oh yes....it's still Valentine's Day around here.......and so it was a cinch to know which stamp to use for The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday challenge this week! 

Lori has tempted us with a colour challenge - you could use it for any occasion, but since I am in such a loving mood (cough,cough) Valentine's Day it IS!!

I decided to use Got Love from The Cat's Pajamas for my image, and I coloured him/her pink! At first I wanted him to be embarrassed, but then I just went for the whole she-bang!

The heart balloons are coloured with copics, and loaded up with sparkle and accents. 

I used the Apron CutUps Die lengthways with a pink ribbon tied around the it and a pretty Martha Stewart doily as my base for the image.

I added some pearls to the sentiment to draw it all together! Fancy Schmancy!

Just the Ticket!

This week's TCP Tuesday is a Technique/Supply challenge! and that is to GET SHINY!!

I decided to use my BLING!! I am a bling lover and love to use it on everything.....but because I am such a lover of bling.....I have TONS of it - so it HAS to be used up!!

 I was pleasantly surprised by the Big Top CutUps die! I really thought it would be fiddly farty - but nope!! It is so easy to paper piece - happy dance!


My different shaped patterned paper was leftover from the banner I made! I had all the triangles left from my two point banner flags - so what else to do?! You will see a lot of this kind of card in the near future ;)!


Well, I am off to give my little Devil Dog her bath. We are having family pictures taken tomorrow and since she is part of this family......it's a given!
