'tis the Season with Casual Fridays!

Good day - I'm up on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog today with my Christmas card - Lol!

All this summer the weather has been extremely hot in Southwestern Ontario and I definitely need a cooling off - I think this is the closest I am going to get to being cool!

I used three of our newest stamp sets for my card today - Bring on the Snowflakes, Mistletoe and Holly and Snowy Sayings.

I stamped the snowflakes in a circle, overlapping here and there.  Using a water filled brush, I lightly brushed water around the snowflakes to make a muted look.  When it was dry, I stamped a few more snowflakes, adding a few tiny green flakes for prettiness!

Using my Big Shot, I diecut a circle in the middle of the circle of snowflakes and popped my panel up onto my white cardstock base.

It was then that I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black- so it would be centered because heaven knows, I need all the help I can get Lol!

I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins for a bit of sparkle - they are so pretty!

CASual Fridays Christmas Release Day 6

Whew! What a crazy and fun Christmas-y week!

CASual Fridays Stamps is down to it's last preview - all sets will be available in the store tonight at midnight!  Use the graphic code at the end of my post to receive 15% off all purchases - Merry Christmas - or Happy Hanukkah!

Today's sets focus on Hanukkah and I have created mostly in blues and silvers - with a bit of aqua here and there!

Our first set is called Star of David - I began by stamping the star border in silver embossing powder at the top of my cardstock panel, colouring in some of the stars with a copic marker.

I stamped three of the large stars in Versamark ink and embossed them with silver embossing powder.

I fussy cut around them on an angle and added mirrored cardstock to the base of my card. It's quite pretty in real life - so difficult to capture mirrored cardstock in a photo dang it!  I added the sentiment in dark blue ink to finish.

My next card uses the new stamp set Spin the Dreidel and I used the same colour scheme, only with watercoloring.

I stamped the five different dreidels in Versamark and embossed them with white embossing powder. Then with watercolours, I did a bit of a messy technique around the dreidels.  I stamped the small star repeatedly.

The sentiment is again stamped in dark blue.  The panel was then adhered to my navy blue card base and it was done - pretty quick and easy!

Well that is about it for our Christmas week - what a blast we have had!  Our stamp sets go live tonight at midnight - so gear up!!

Of course if you wish a 15% discount - and who doesn't? use my code Bonnie2016 on any product in the CAS-ual Fridays store - anytime!

CASual Fridays New Release Day 5

Oh boy!---we are getting down to the wire with the new releases from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps - two more days of beautiful creations from all the team members!

For a 15% discount on these stamps (available Friday midnight) or any other product in the CAS-ual Fridays store - see the cute graphic at the end of my post!

Today we are showcasing Mistletoe & Holly, a set with a fabulous array of fun holiday sentiments and a cute little mistletoe image - fun to colour with your copic markers or watercolour paints!

My first card focuses on the mistletoe!  I began by stamping the sentiment on white cardstock - and then multi-stamping the mistletoe image, covering the remainder of the card front.

I coloured the images with my copic markers and highlighted some areas with a white gel pen to create a wee bit of interest.

Such an easy way to highlight an image!  I added a strip of candy cane patterned paper that has glittered covered score tape across it.  And because you can never have too much red at Christmas - I added some swiss dot ribbon to finish!

My second card was watercolored - showing a few different colours for sure!

I clear embossed the new background set Starlequin across the top of my card stock- watercoloring with Zig Real Brush markers in pinks, purples, blues and greens.

I did the same with the mistletoe image, fussy cutting and popping it up onto the card.  I embossed the sentiment using Liquid Platinum embossing powder - my new love Lol!

After added a few baubles, I adhered it to my card base using foam tape.

Don't forget if you are interested in receiving 15% off of any of these new releases or any product in the CAS-ual Fridays store - just use my discount code - Bonnie2016!   Here is the graphic because it is so cute !!

Casual Fridays Christmas Release - Day 4

Well, we are half way through CAS-ual Fridays Christmas Release and how much fun is this??!   I am loving seeing all of the other designers beautiful creations - it has really put me in the Christmas mood - crazy right??

Don't forget to comment on our blog posts for a chance to win one of 3- $15 gift certificates from Michele at CAS-ual Fridays stamps!

Have you got your morning coffee?! I have a lot to show you - Today, CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is showing off the beautiful stamp set Sleigh Ride along with the Sleigh Fri-Dies!

My first creation is a Christmas card - old fashioned in its traditional colours but oh- so pretty!

Using the Sleigh Fri-Dies, I diecut the outside of the sleigh in kraft cardstock and ran it through my Cuttlebug wood embossing folder.

For the gold highlights along the "runners", I simply swiped the bottom of the diecut through Versamark ink and then dipped it into gold embossing powder and heat set it to a pretty shine!

Using the middle die (I know!! These Fri-dies have 4 large pieces!) I diecut red cardstock and gold heat embossed the sentiment from Sleighride.  I adhered the red panel onto the kraft background.

I diecut and coloured the sweet little holly leaves and attached them to the sleigh.  I popped the sleigh onto a white snowy handcut hill and attached it to my patterned paper which was adhered to my card base.  - quick and easy!

I had to get some more glitter in there and my Diamond Stickles came in handy - I ran a bead of prettiness across the top of the snowy hill!

This stamp set and die also lends itself to Christmas decor so for my next project I just had to make a little Christmas decoration!  My grandma always used to have a bowl of peppermints ready and waiting for us when we visited - they were so cool and refreshing.  What better way to showcase them than in a little sleigh!

I stamped one of our new backgrounders, Starlequin,  onto white cardstock making my own patterned paper by colouring in some of the open spaces with a red copic.

I diecut the inside panel of the sleigh from my new patterned paper and adhered it to the red sleigh - I made two of these and set them to the side.

Using an easy tutorial from Splitcoaststampers, I made a simple little box and attached it to the insides of the sleigh.  I added a few little sparkly gold gumdrops and filled it with peppermints - just perfect!

Come on back tomorrow for some more CAS-ual Fridays Christmas goodness!

Casual Fridays Christmas Release - Day 3

How is it going? Are you enjoying the peeks from the CAS-ual Fridays new Christmas release?

There are 3 $15 gift certificates to be snagged this week - so don't forget to comment!

Today we are showcasing the pretty new set called Partridge in a Pear Tree.  I had to laugh when I saw the other designer's creations using this set - we all pretty much used the same colours on our sneaky peeks - the minds of designers right?!

I really just made a pretty clean and simple card for today - stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black (great to use with copic markers!) and colouring it with my comics.

I added a bit of shine on the sweet little partridge using glossy accents and then some pretty glitter on the pears - so quick and easy!

A little skiff of gold thread was tied around the top to bring all the gold together - don't forget the release goes live on Friday night and you can use my spiffy discount code - even on new items - crazy right??

Casual Fridays Christmas Release - Day Two

Good Morning - were you able to snag CAS-ual Fridays new stamps yesterday?  Those particular stamps, since they are a re-release from Catherine Pooler's Stamp of Approval Holiday Box, were available in the store immediately - but for the rest of the week you will have to hold your breath until Friday midnight eeekk!

All righty then - today's CAS-ual Fridays release is all about our new Ornament Fri-dies and Christmas Sparkle!

I put together a couple of shaker ornaments! -and I love the ease with which these particular Fri-dies lend themselves to shakers.

They even have a sweet little hangar set to hand your tags. Perfect!  The sentiment is from the new set - being released on Friday night - Christmas Sparkle!

I decided to go with conventional Christmas red - always a favourite.  I filled them pretty little gold stars and red sequins and hung them on my funky gold tree - which is out year round I might add. - Anything pretty stays out to be seen at my house!

My next card - I know! I'm just filled with crafty goodness this week Lol - uses the Christmas Sparkle set in Black and Gold.  You know from my previous work - that black and gold is a favourite of mine - and it certainly works with Christmas!

I stamped the circles onto cream cardstock and then die cut a circle - using the Ornament Fri-Dies, and stamped the sentiment.

The sentiment was stamped using Delicate Golden Glitz ink - a beautiful gold that I have fallen in love with!

I then put it together using black and gold patterned paper - very pretty and elegant!

Don't forget - the sets from today and onward will be released on Friday midnight.

Casual Fridays Christmas Release - Day One!

Good Fun Release Morning... Cas-ual Fridays has a fabulous week of new Christmas releases coming your way! -

Business first....Our new releases today were previously released by Catherine Pooler with her Limited Edition Stamp of Approval Holiday Box.   They have been in high demand and are now being released by CAS-ual Fridays - how cool is that?!!

And because peeps have been asking for more of these sets,  today's particular items are for sale in the store right now - no waiting until release night woohoo!!

Of course you can use my discount code to receive 15% off (yes! even the new releases) - here is the graphic - it's cute so I have to post it LOL

Okay enough of that - let's get to my projects using this gorgeousness!

I watercolored an aqua background on watercolour cardstock and after it dried, I die cut the snowflake from the panel.  I die cut two more snowflakes - one from white and one from aqua cardstock and adhered them onto the snowflake space.

I embossed the sentiment using the beautiful platinum embossing powder - not gold, not silver - just sort of in between - just dang pretty.  I added some crystal sequins and popped the finished panel on to light great cardstock.

My next card is just as clean and simple - First I adhered red and pink cardstock to a white cardstock base.

I die cut the new Funky Snowflake Fri-Dies (love that name!) using red and pink and gold cardstock and layered them together. The sentiment from Snowy Sayings is gold embossed to match the gold snowflake and the gold sequins - everything comes together yay!

This new release has just got me so caught up in Christmas joy!  Remember that today's particular release is in the store right now - discount codes apply!

Have a Blessed Christmas

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas Hah!  I don't know why I am in the Christmas spirit lately - ooo maybe I should take advantage and start some shopping!

I'm up on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today showcasing this card - I began by cutting down my cream coloured panel to 3 3/4" X 5 1/2"  and stamping the beautiful Wheat Wreath stamp

I die cut a circle in the middle and then took that circle die and cut it down a wee bit more.  I stamped my sentiment from Lovely Blessings on to the circle and adhered it to kraft cardstock.   I actually snipped my sentiment stamp into three pieces so that I could achieve this. - so simple and it doesn't hurt your stamp one. bit.

Using the 4 Petal Set Fri-dies, I die cut the little petals from white and kraft cardstock and layered them together to make a few little flowers.  I added a few sparkly gems to the centre of each flower.

I popped up the cream layer onto the kraft cardstock and then popped up my little flowers onto the side of the sentiment.  I also added a swirl of crystals down the side - I. still. love. crystals. - Boy I am a die hard fan.....:)

If you like what you see - any of these items are available at the CAS-ual Fridays store - and as always if you want to get an "extra" 15% off your items - (and who doesn't, I mean really!) just add my code!

Have a Magical Holiday Season!

Yes, yes, YES--- I am starting to create with Christmas product - yay!!  I love all the glitz and glamour of Christmas card creating and today it's all about GOLD. Just yum.

The Challenge has a cute sketch this week for their Week 5 Wild Card Inspiration, so today was the day to figure it out.

I am using product from CAS-ual Fridays - these particular stamps and dies  - Snowy Sayings and Funky Flakes, were previously released as a part of Catherine Pooler's Holiday Box Set last year.  (Dear me, if you are not familiar with Catherine Pooler - you absolutely should be! - can you say StampNation??!) Maybe you were too late to purchase that Box Set, well .....I have good news and bad news HAH!

The good news - these particular stamps and dies will be released by CAS-ual Fridays YAY!
The bad news - these particular stamps and dies will be released by CAS-ual Fridays but not until our next release in July - and it will totally be worth every second of waiting!

I began by die-cutting the Funky Flakes from Mint Julep and Luxe Gold adhesive sheets and layering them to create a pretty snowflake which I popped up onto the white cardstock panel.

I gold embossed the sentiment onto a stitched flag die and popped it up onto the white panel.  I added a border of gold down each side of the patterned paper as a thin border.

After adding a few gold and clear sequins - I quit fussing - oh my goodness I really have to learn when to stop arghh!

Of course - as always - if you wish to purchase any stamps and/or dies from CAS-ual Fridays, you are welcome to use my special discount code -  there is no expiry as long as I'm a designer - and I'm still here HAH!

Merry & Bright CAS

Good Morning! We are still celebrating the long weekend with another holiday - any excuse!

We had our annual Fishing Derby yesterday and although the sun was shining, it was still chilly and cold - I think if I make some Christmas cards Mother Nature might get mixed up again and warm up - here's hoping!

The CAS This Sketch challenge was kind of funky - and since I am not a funky gal, I brought out some trees to showcase the triangles in this sketch.

Using CAS-ual Fridays Snowflake Splendor, I stamped the tree images with Versamark ink and embossed them using gold embossing powder.

I also embossed the sentiment - from Snowflake Splendor - in gold embossing powder and then die cut my panel from Your Next Stamp's Stitched Rectangle Die Set.

Since the trees are such an easy triangle shape, I fussy cut and popped them up onto my card panel with the sentiment. I had already adhered a splingle of gold thread  and it looks so pretty - all that gold!!

I adhered the panel onto my card base without popping it up - trying to keep it CAS and all.....(although I really wanted to add sequins and shimmer mist etc etc etc..... I survived)

Thanks for joining me this morning - hope it warms up just for me!!

Papertrey Ink December Blog Hog

Welcome to this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

This month we had a beautiful photo to help us with our inspiration!  I still chose to go with a Christmas theme - I have too many stamp sets that need to be used up haha..(yikes).

Here is our inspirational photo for this month….It's beautiful, conjuring up all sorts of chalky creations in my mind…..however, I chose a slightly different route as you can see below.

I was totally inspired by the white frames on the plates along with the beautiful foliage, so I grabbed my   Winter Floral Die Cover Plate and die cut it twice --using white card stock.

I water coloured the foliage on one of the die cuts and then snipped away at the other one, placing various white foliage (keeping the frame intake) and adhering it on top, choosing to only show a portion of the water colouring. - Does that make perfect sense??

I adhered it all to a panel of Pure Poppy card stock and then added my die cut sentiment - from the Christmas Cheer dies.   I embossed the word "Merry" in white onto another little sliver of Pure Poppy and placed it in an appropriate spot.

I added a few little stars and sequins to finish off my creation!  I hope you get a chance to peruse the hop - so much inspiration for you!!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Good morning! I'm joining in the 2015 Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop yay! There are prizes to be won - tons of them, so start getting inky and join in the fun!

…..and really….Who doesn't like coffee?! - well never mind - I have a couple of friends who don't drink the loving potion and who am I too judge?!

I just had to ink up my new Papertrey Ink set - Cup of Cheer - I mean what is NOT to love?!

I stamped the Coffee Pot with OceanTides ink and the coffee cups with Classic Kraft.  I added the cute little poinsettias with Kraft and Pure Poppy and popped them up onto the mug and carafe.

My patterned paper is also from Papertrey Ink - last years choice pulled out of hiding for this year - it is pretty classic.

Thank you for popping around to see my creation today -lots of things to love on the hop so check it out!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

The a-maz-ing Amy Tsuruta has put together a Holiday Edition Coffee Lovers Blog hop and I do love my coffee fix in the morning, so I couldn't resist linking up!  Follow the links to hop and see some fabulous inspiration!!

I used this month's SFYTT at Reverse Confetti and stamped up the Be a Barista Stamp set - a sweet latte set for all you lovers of hot concoctions!!

The circles were die cut using the Fresh 'n Fruity Confetti Cuts and I used the Double Edge Scallop Border.

The sentiment was stamped with Pure Poppy ink and is from the Seasonal Sentiments stamp set.

I used my beautiful gold thread - so shimmery - as steam - you can imagine it right?!  And those Pretty Pink Posh sequins add just the right detail…..

Thanks for visiting today for the hop!

Merry and Bright!

Good afternoon! I haven't joined in on a SCS challenge for awhile and the colour challenge just hit me right - so I decided to have a go!

The colours were Dark Brown, Aqua and Kraft - and you get dessert if you make it Christmas-y! and I love dessert.

I used the sweet little bird image from The Alley Way Stamps set called "All Wrapped Up" and stamped the image.  I then masked it and stamped the fence from Tweety Posts so that it looks like the birds are sitting on the fence…..I'm smart like that.

After using my copic markers to colour the image, I went over the sweet birdies with Wink of Stella - although because of the magic of my photo taking -it doesn't show up too much….drat.

For the background, I stamped WPlus9 Ink Splats with Hawaiian Shores and Classic Kraft Inks, and then added some little snowflakes from All Wrapped Up in Hawaiian Shores.

Using Reverse Confetti Love Notes, I die cut the little frame and adhered my image to it - then popped it up onto my background.

I stamped the sentiment onto a SSS Talk Bubble and popped it up also - along with some adhered Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow and Clear sequins.

I finished it off by tying some Lawn Fawn twine around the top of my card!

Thanks for visiting today and try out that colour challenge - it's a goodie!

Merry Christmas Color Throwdown!

Good afternoon! I just got back from antique shopping - lots of fun in Florida!  I also wanted to get my card in for this week's Color Throwdown - a gorgeous mixture of golds and silvers - very inspirational!

I also want to submit my creation to the "Just Us Girls" Challenge - It is WORD week and the word this week is "Sparkle"!!  I think this works just right!

ETA:  Apparently, this also goes along with the Inspirational Challenge this week - "Anything Goes with Gold…..triple duty …whoop! whoop!.

I used a mixture of different companies for my creation today so my post is one BIG advertisement Lol!

I started by embossing the Ink Splats from WPlus9 in gold embossing powder onto my card base.

I die cut the L'il Inkers Instant Camera Die from a gorgeous Papertrey Ink Linen Vellum and adhered it to the card base.

I added some Reverse Confetti Let it Snow Confetti Cuts and covered them with Metallic Gold and Silver Pretty Posh sequins.

I die cut the Wet Paint Holiday Dies from brown card stock and swiped them across my Versamark ink.  Using my tweezers, I dipped the words into gold embossing powder and then heat them up like magic with my embossing too--- such a pretty effect!

I finished by adding some Lawn Fawn twine - like I said - a blog commercial haha!

Thanks for popping around today!
