A Fond Farewell

This is my last official week of designing for Cas-ual Fridays Stamps.  I have been so fortunate to be a part of this amazing company - I am truly thankful to Michele and our fabulous team!!

It is bittersweet that I am stepping down - we winter in Florida and I just don't take the time to stamp as much as I do at home where my permanent stamping area is located.  There is just too much to do with hubby!

I put together a watercolored thank you to mark the occasion using the leaves from Pretty Posies.

I stamped the leaves with Versamark ink onto white watercolour cardstock and then embossed them with white embossing powder.

Using my Zig Real Brush markers, I watercolored the leaves using various shades of green, pink, and yellow.

After it dried - you really have to wait for it to dry completely. completely. completely - I diecut a stitched rectangle from the watercolored leaves.  I popped that up onto a panel of Mint Julep Swiss Dot patterned paper which was adhered to my card base.

I fussy cut a flag  and popped it up onto the front and added a strip of the patterned paper.  I diecut the sentiment from white cardstock and adhered it to the flag.  I finished it off by adding a few Sparkly Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!

CAS-ual Fridays New Release Day Three!

Good Morning - and how are you enjoying the new releases from CAS-ual Fridays so far? Today is the third day of sneak peeks and there are still TWO MORE DAYS ….I know right?!!

Today we are focusing on BIG Thanks and some new Fri-Dies!  This set is so full of possibilities - with many many fun sentiments in a fun font!

I decided that I wanted to really to focus on the word BIG (can you tell haha!) so I stamped it in bold, bright red - isn't it awesome?

I die-cut the new "thanks" Fri-die in cream and red cardstock and glued them together with a bit of an offset.  I added some shine to the die-cut with glossy accents - I even let it dry before I stuck my fingers all over it - yeh, that's a problem in this craft room :)

Those awesome Pretty Posies and leaves (from Day One peeks) are just too pretty to use for one day - so I copic coloured them  - nice and brightly and adhered them to the front of my card.

….and let's talk black enamelled dots shall we - what is the consensus?  I kind of like them - just a different kind of punch!

I really liked this week's sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch and so I played along….

I began by simply "smooshing" a watercolour background onto Ranger watercolor cardstock using pinks and yellow re-inkers and setting it aside to dry.  I decided to buy the 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock and cut it into quarters - it saves a bit of money and that's a good thing….

I die cut the Simon Says Stamp "thanks" sentiment from Papertrey Ink Raspberry Fizz cardstock and then actually HANDCUT a piece of white cardstock with my paper trimmer and stamped the sentiment (from Mama Elephant Photobomb).

So weird…..I looked for a die that would cut a piece of white cardstock and nearly panicked when I couldn't find the size of die that I wanted…..soooo dependent on those dang dies….. haha!

Using my "smooshed" background, I die cut the Single Roses Wafer Die - I had not even separated the dies yet, but I thought it looked great.  I only used the positive part of the die cut - (at least I think - I was never too good with my positives and negatives) I will save the positive (?) die cuts for another project.

I die cut my background cardstock with Your Next Stamp Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered it to a white card panel.

I adhered my two sentiments together,  popped it up onto the background and adhered it to a Raspberry Fizz cardstock base.

Masculine Thank You

I realize the title of my post might be redundant……not many men send thank you cards but sometimes they might receive one - for something or other…..anyway the hole that I am digging brings me to my creation for today Hah!

I am linking up to this month's Reverse Confetti Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) and this week's Color Throwdown - both fabulous is their own right-- naturally!

I used a ton 'o Reverse Confetti product for these beautiful colours - it was really a no-brainer!

I trimmed and layered up two of the fun Quick Card Panels -Weather or Dot (And Stripes) along with Pina Colada  and stamped a couple of the sequins from Roundabout.

I stamped the thank you sentiment from Roundabout and die cut with the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts.  This particular circle die leaves a bit more of a white border but I am A-ok with that!

I stapled a couple of little flags cut from Stitched Flag Trio Confetti Cuts - one of my favouritist of all time!! The little button tied with green twine added a little something - masculine for sure and not too frilly!

Make it Monday #200!

It is the 200th Make it Monday post - and I wanted to join in!

It is a very easy technique and delivers beautiful results.

I didn't do anything earth shattering, basically using the same Coverplate as Dawn did in her video - but I did use different colours and it turned out gorgeous!

I used the Peony Cover Plate for the first time - and it definitely won't be my last!

I cut two of the Cover Plate - one in white card stock and one in Soft Stone and layered them up onto my patterned paper, offsetting them a bit, as per the Make it Monday challenge.

For my background, I used Soft Stone patterned paper - stunning together!

I stamped the sentiment on Linen vellum in Versamark ink and embossed it with fine white embossing powder.

I added a few Pretty Posh Ink Sequins for sparkle and I love it!

A Reverse Confetti Thank you!

I received some lovely stamps last week from Reverse Confetti - their latest release!.... so naturally I "needed" to ink them up!

Our family's Thanksgiving was celebrated at our home this year and we had a lovely bag of goodies given to us by our niece - her wonderful canning and some garlic goodies - ALL welcome and enjoyed!  Thank you's are in order - yay!

I used Roundabout (thank you), Roundabout Additions (heart circle) and Class Act for my stamping pleasure :) I used Tropical Teal ink and stamped onto Rustic Cream cardstock.....Love it!

The card was decorated using the NEW Envie Wrap Confetti Cuts and Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts along with the Class Act Confetti Cuts.

I stamped the large dots and large "sequins" all over the envelope, using Papertrey Ink Tropical Teal, Harvest Gold and Canyon Clay inks.

The Envie Wrap Confetti Cuts was die cut and wrapped around the back - where you can stamp again yay! A wonderful spot for your return address!

Good morning!

My creation today uses the Reverse Confetti Sketch and the Color Throwndown challenges - woohoo!  The color Throwdown challenge gurus have now decided to NOT add the colour names to their swatches - only the colours - great news! - I'm easily confused......

 I started with an Aquamist card base and added patterned paper from my Carta Bella - Moments and Memories 6x6 paper pad. 

Using the Tag Me, Too Confetti Cuts, I die cut a tag and added some Petals 'N Posies flowers stamped in Blueberry Sky, Enchanted Evening, Simply Chartreuse and Aquamist inks. I fussy cut the flowers and vines - believe me- right after this card I ordered the Petals 'N Posies Confetti Cuts - no more fussy cutting......yi yi yi!

I die cut the Fabulous Flamingos and popped them up onto a patterned paper circle, adding a few more fussy cut flowers.  The sentiment, also from Fabulous Flamingos, was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder.

I love sanding down the edges of this particular patterned paper - it almost looks like it adds another layer.....great trick!

Good Morning!! 

I can't believe I am finally back from vacation - we travelled to the Sunny South - Punta Gorda, Florida to be exact- and stayed in a beautiful home for over a month - it had a pool and all of the amenities you could possibly imagine...

AND then we decided that we should purchase a mobile home and we DID!! 

I am so excited and have crafty thoughts of transformation running through my brain!

But first let's have a little crafty goodness on the old blog okay? It's been so long.....

I actually made this card before I left with one of the newest Pure Innocence stamp sets - Pure Innocence around the World - The Netherlands to be exact!

 

I used the My Favorite Things sketch #110 along with a few Die-Namics......yes - I am addicted like bees are to flowers!

I stamped, coloured and trimmed my main little PI image and popped her up onto my sketch background!  

The flowers are the Die-Namics Upsy Daisy with the Leaf Filled Flourish attached.

My papers are from Crate Paper - Fourteen - love these papers! Since they have a white core, I was able to cut my panels and then sand the edges so that it looks like it is layered!

Good Morning and welcome to another Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party!

Our theme this month is Gratitude....

I stamped up three sets on this card - can you see them? The first layer is a backgrounder from Way Out West stamped in Soft Stone - just to give it a bit of dimension.

My next layer is the leaves from Big Blooms - Chrysanthemums stamped in Spring Moss, Classic Kraft and Canyon Clay - love those colours together!

And last, but certainly not least, is the image from Bountiful Baskets Additions with the basket stamped onto Kraft cardstock, cut out and then popped up on to the pumpkins!

On a different note, I don't know why my blog post has so many colours all over it - Blogger is being a wee bit of a pain......lol
