Some Bunny Loves You

I'm starting my spring cards - yay! and I found a perfect challenge to enter - This week's Mod Squad Challenge is The Great Outdoors.

My new little Reverse Confetti Hippity Hoppity bunnies are so cute, and they paired up nicely with Papertrey Ink's Petite Places Patterned Paper.  I really didn't have much to do except stamp, watercolour, die cut!

The patterned paper provided the Outdoor backdrop so I was able to just place the images where I wanted them.

As I mentioned, I stamped the images onto watercolour cardstock - which tends to be a bit motley and bumpy and makes the images a bit "grainy"…..I probably should have stamped on the smooth side - and now I know.

After water colouring I die-cut the images and placed them onto the patterned paper - popping some up for interest- easy peasy!  I also stamped, die cut and adhered the clouds from Weather It Together.

The sweet little sentiment is also from Hippity Hoppity!

Thanks….Southwestern Style

Hello hello!  Just popping in with another pretty colour combo from The Color Throwdown!

This week's colours are pink, green, kraft and gray- a little different but I always think to myself -  if there is green involved - then I can stamp flowers!

I began by stamping an arrangement of borders from the Southwestern Style stamp set from Papertrey Ink onto Vintage Cream card stock in Classic Kraft ink on an angle for a bit of interest.

I die cut a Kraft card stock panel using the Stitched Rectangle Dies - (I was inspired by Amy Scheffer's use of these dies!)- and layered my stamped panel on top -so perfect!

I adhered those two panels to another Vintage Cream die cut panel and then popped up the whole thing onto a Vintage Cream card base.

Using the newest Make It Market Kit - Nostalgic Notions - I die cut and stamped the flowers and leaves and then popped them up onto my border stamped layer.  The inks I used were Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst and Lavender Moon for the flowers and Simply Chartreuse for the leaves.

I finished my creation by stamped the sentiment in Smokey Shadow ink and adding a little puffy heart :)

Why don't you join in? You have until 6:00 pm on Monday!

Happy Easter and some Quick Easter Bags!

Yes, I am last minute-ing again - per usual!  and we on our way to our family Easter today.  I needed some Easter bags for the kids and I was so happy to be able to quickly put something together.

The Spring Fling Quick Card panels from Reverse Confetti do lend a fabulous hand to creating a few quick Easter treat bags this morning!

I used the Spring Quick Panels as my inspiration for my colours and just layered away!

I used the Double Banner Garland Confetti Cuts along with the Circle 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts to decorate my kraft bags.

I stamped one of the sentiment circles from Roundabout Additions and popped it up onto the Circle die cut, and then as a quick addition, I added the heart stamp from the same stamp set! So pretty and colourful!

The bunny was cut from felt and adhered to the front of the bag and they are ready to go.  I was so lucky to find some matching tissue paper to make it all come together!

And…..we are off!  My broccoli casserole is made and peas and mushrooms are ready to travel - woohoo!

You're Grrreat!

For this week's My Favorite Things sketch challenge, I really wanted to use my new Pure Innocence Roarin' Good Day!

Using the new Dienamics Pure Innocence die - (I LOVE these matching dies - no more fussy cutting - not that it was such a big deal to trim and trim and trim- but this is so much faster yay)…I die cut this cute little tiger - stamped the image with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and coloured her up with my copic markers - very easy with this little image!

By semi-following the sketch ;) and using last month's Free with $60 dies, I die cut my patterned paper and adhered it to my white card base, along with a small strip of Black Licorice card stock along the bottom.

I popped up my coloured image and stamped the sentiment in ALL THAT WHITE SPACE - ugh I have trouble stopping myself from totally filling up that area!

The sweet little diecut paw print was adhered just to satisfy my thirst for all things NOT white space.

White space you can be so evil….

Color Throwdown - Happy Birthday

I have a new stamp set - go figure - from My Favorite Things called Spring Tulips, and I thought I would stamp it up for this week's Color Throwdown.

It is a very quick and easy or clean and simple or just a plain jane card - whichever way - these colours bring out the gorgeousness of the stamps!

I used my Blueprints #1 Dies - I love the large scallops in this rectangle - such an elegant die - and I added a few layers to jazz it up a bit!

I stamped and coloured the pretty tulips with my copic markers and then stamped the sentiment with MFT Black Licorice Hybride Ink - a brilliant black ink….love!

Why don't you try out this week's Color Throwdown! - Have fun!

My Sweet Life

Papertrey Ink is celebrating 8 years this month, with celebrations going on for the next little while.

I made a little tag and gift box for one of the challenges- although the directions say a to make a tag with a gift "bag",  I'm pretty limited in my supplies in our trailer so I recycled some PTI packaging.

I had some Dove Strawberry Creme Swirl Chocolates available - at least for awhile - and added them into the box.

I made a little belly band and adhered it on an angle - added some white grosgrain ribbon and tied a bow.

The die-cut Tag Sale #2 is layered with the Monthly Moments Journal Card 8 die cut in vellum and adhered to the tag base.  Then I stamped my sentiment from Scent-imentals in Pure Poppy Ink and added it to the tag.

From the same stamp set, I stamped the little "kiss" and coloured the little "ribbon" with my Sakura Jelly Roll pen - sparkly!

Of course this will go to  my hubby because 1st - he is my sweetie and 2nd - he doesn't like these chocolates, so I will be able to eat them with no interruption - great thinking.

Hello - it's a Birthday Celebration!

It's The Alley Way Stamps Birthday Celebration and we are giving away stamps, stamps! stamps!!

Today, you have another chance to win a set in honor of our birthday! Pop on over to Alison's blog for a chance to win the In Stitches set - today only!

I also have a quick cute card for you today - I love a cute card and a this one is no exception - a little bit of embossing and water colouring with some masking and presto - a sweet little Oogle peeking out to say hello!

I started my card by adhering patterned paper to a plain card base.  I set that aside and stamped "hello" -from the stamp set Bubbly - with versamark ink and heating embossing with white embossing powder on a white card stock panel.

Using a light blue paint, I watercoloured over the embossed sentiment.  I masked the "h" and stamped the sweet image from Oogles - when I removed the masked the little image looks like he is peeking out from behind the sentiment!

I stamped the word "cutie" from adoraBOWL, die cut the panel and popped it up onto my cardbase.

I added a little twine and secured it with a clothespin - easy and sweet!

Now when you head to The Alley Way Stamps, be sure to use the code word  PARTYTIME to get 15% off!

Hope Your Day is Fabulous!

Good Morning and it's time for the November Sketch For You To Try over at Reverse Confetti!

My card came together quite nicely - if I do say so myself ;) and I pulled out the vellum which leaves such a soft looking quality.

To my Soft Stone cardbase I added a scrap of patterned paper along with some shiny silver cardstock.  I really wanted to tone down the shiny-ness - so vellum was the answer!

I stamped the sentiment from Fabulous Flamingo onto the Vellum and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.

The hearts and vellum backing are diecut using the Love Note Confetti Cuts - love it!

I aded a bit of silver bordered ribbon for the finishing touch! Hope you like it and get out and make a card today - Be Fabulous!

Mason Jar Candy Corn!

This week's PapertreyInk Make it Monday video was a tutorial about sprucing up your Mason Jars.  I don't have the kind of Mason Jar that Melisa shows in her video - but I do have a ton of other kinds so I got to work ......

I decided that I would make my Mason Jar into a LARGE candy corn - I don't even like the candies but I really wish I did - they look so pretty!

I basically followed the video when painting the jars....making sure to add a bit of a vintage look by sanding the paint when dry, to show the jar label.

I used the stamp set Fall Elegance to create my tag.  I die cut the Bookmark Die and then cut it a  wee bit shorter, rounding the corners with my Corner chomper.

To emboss the gold dots on the Mason Jar, I used an older set, Shapes by Design.

CASE Study and Time Out Challenge

I decided to jump in and do the CASE Study challenge this week. I have had the Vegetable Garden set forever, and wanted to use it for a fall themed card.....so I made tags hah - which also follows along with the Time Out Challenge - woohoo!

The CASE Study inspiration was so cool and a match for this stamp set....so I made some tags with tomatoes on them....sounds simple.- of course it took me forever !

I used Hero Arts Pale Tomato ink on my tomato stamp and rock and rolled it with PTI Pure Poppy ink.  I double cut the Tag Sale #5 using PTI white cardstock and part of a box - yeppers - I did that..

I designed a small linen bag also - and added some tomatoes inside (real ones) - I'll take those to my mom if she needs them.  I stamped the bag with the A Little Argyle Background Stamp in Simply Chartreuse ink and then added a few Pure Poppy dots - scattered around.

Join up in the Challenges - they are fun to do!!

Using Cover Plate Negatives MIM

Over at Papertrey Ink,  Laurie is showing an interesting way to use your leftover negatives on your creation.  Take a peek at the video and see the easiest way ever to line up those little pieces!

I decided to use just a few of the circles from my Circles Die Cover Plate - following the video provided.  It is such a dreary day that my photo isn't the brightest - dang it...

The beautiful rose is from The Sweet Life Stamp set - I diecut and stamped a LOT of these flowers when I bought the set - so now I have them available for a quick card!  I stamped the leaves first and then popped up the rose.

I die cut the Double Ended banner die and embossed the sentiment - from On The Farm- onto Limeade Ice cardstock and popped it up- easy!

Enjoy and be Bright!

Splitcoaststampers and Avery Elle have new challenges and since I just had a little - okay - LARGE passel of new Avery Elle stamps delivered this week (*wink), I couldn't resist!

The current challenge at Avery Elle is "One Word" - something I'm definitely not good at haha!

Splitcoaststampers Free For All challenge today is use Bright Colours!! - Easy!

I stamped up my new "Thanks a Bunch" set using PTI Hibiscus Burst, New Leaf and Smokey Shadow inks.  I love these bright  colours!

The little scalloped border just adds a little feminine flair that I couldn't resist!

I stamped the image three times, using my various inks and then I stamped the flowers only on a scrap piece of paper - fussy cut it and popped it up onto the middle bouquet.

I used my Wink of Stella brush to add some shimmer and shine to that gorgeous bouquet!

Thanks for visiting once again!

Make It Monday Coffee & Friends

Just squeaking in with a Papertrey Ink project for Make It Monday - last week!

We were taught how to make these sweet little colourful notebooks - so easy it's ridiculous......

Check out the blogpost here for the great tutorial!

I  chose to use an image and sentiment from the Scent-imentals Stamp Set  and some Papertrey Ink Patterned paper for the front of my cute notebook.

The inside was stamped with a couple of images from Take Note - an oldie but a goodie!

Try out this easy peasy tutorial - quick little gift too!

Happy Anniversary!

Good Morning!  Splitcoaststampers has a great inspiration challenge today - as always - and this time the inspiration comes from Marks & Spencer - the children's section.

Over the years, I have always loved their jams and crackers AND the fabulous quality of their clothing.

I chose to be inspired by this sweet little dress - the colours are beautiful and I love how they interact with each other - a great colour combo!

Instead of flowers, I went with butterflies  - I love this Beautiful Butterflies Papertrey Ink stamp set by Maile Belles.

I stamped up some of the butterflies onto Sweet Blush cardstock using Berry Sorbet, Navy (Hero Arts), and Sweet Tooth (My Favorite Things) inks.  The butterfly die is also from the same stamp set - I decided to use a bit of vellum to soften it up!

Thanks for coming around - happy Easter!
