If you are making a baby card, and you don't know which paper to use, dig out your Nana's Nursery paper!
It is so sweet and cute - I am really into cute and sweet lately if you haven't noticed, I have got babies on the brain..........
We are having a population explosion in our area, isn't that wonderful!!! so I am gearing up for all those cards and gifts that I get to create YAY!!
This card is for a baby shower and uses all Nana's Nursery Baby Boy Collection designer paper. I also have the Baby Girl Collection and really, I am not sure which one I like the best- so I have to say I love both lines!
I did a little bit of paper piecing on this buggy from Papertrey Ink's Bitty Baby Blessings stamp set. I stamped it onto the purple dotted designer paper and then again onto white cardstock.
I cut out the buggy on the white cardstock and popped it up onto the dp. It still looked a little bare-"nekked" so I stamped it again onto the dp and cut out the little itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny-purple- polka-dotted-thing-ys - ya, I just said that - and glued them onto the white buggy. I think you can click on the picture to get a larger look.
I know there is a tutorial around somewhere on how to use the threading/treading water punch to make holes around the scalloped square nestabilities but I couldn't find it anywhere so I used the old crop-a-dile and cramped up my hand, I think for good!!
I did a bit of sewing on the card too - I think the tension was a bit screwy by looking at the card from this angle - yikes!
The sweet little sentiment is also from Bitty Baby Blessings and was stamped onto a Cuttlebug tiny tags die and tied on with with a wee bit 'o twine.
Pretty dang cute IMHO (in my humble opinion) - but you can't miss with this combination of Stamp set and designer paper!!
Off to Holly's Math Class today, even though I have no freakin' time to do this - {insert *woe is me* here}..........I really do enjoy my Tuesday's with Holly all to myself, and after today it will all be looking up again...........breathe......pththth!
