Good Tuesday morning to you all and that means it must be time for Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday challenge!!
This week our guest designer is Jameson, Rebecca's son, and he has an inspiration challenge! Our inspiration was all the pages from the book Suki’s Kimono.
The whole moral of the book is that being your OWN self and trying not to succumb to peer pressure always works out in the end. Of course, that is hard to do when you are 8 years old and in Grade 2, like Jameson!
My card focused on more of the moral than the pictures in the book, although they were beautiful! Gorgeous shades or oranges and blues, beautiful watercoloured pictures of Suki in her kimono, a parade.....so many things in which to be inspired.
My sketch is from this week's Taylored Expressions sketch challenge and I used the image and sentiment from Stamping Bella.
My Daisy Buckets designer papers, which I got at The Paper Pickle, were perfect since they have all sorts of monsters on them (although Murphy's Law said to cut out the monsters, so I did ) silly me.
Hope you are having a good day. I have a day planned of laundry and hanging clothes on my new clothesline

What an adorable fun card!
ReplyDeleteAdorable card, Bonnie! I think it's appropriate for adult and children alike!
ReplyDeleteI find it fascinating that women are returning to the good old days of hanging wash out on a line. I remember doing that for my mom as a small child. Back then, women would give their eye teeth for an electric dryer. They'd probably think we're ridiculous! LOL
Love the bright colors: ) Toooo stinkin cute!
ReplyDeleteYour coloring is awesome! Love the colors you used and your fantastic layout! This card rocks!
