Isn't that a funny way to greet a Sunday morning??!! and it's not even communion! (oops, that could be blasphemous)
Happy Sunday and what a beautiful day it is! The sun is shining and it promises to be a day full of gorgeous HEAT! Thank goodness....we have been lacking in the heat department lately.....
It's time for another Cupcake Inspiration Challenge! Every Sunday Rachel from Hope Stamps Eternal has a challenge in which a photo of delicious cupcakes is shown and you draw inspiration from that photo!
We would love for you to join us! Just take a look at the inspiration photo and make a "something" to add to your Splitcoaststampers Gallery or PaperCraft Planet gallery! When you upload, leave a comment with your link, on the Hope Stamps Eternal blog so we can all check it out!!
I took a different route - surprise! surprise! - Here is the photo of the yummy cupcakes
and here is my card......
I didn't have a penguin stamp, but wouldn't the Imaginisce Penguin have been perfect??!! Ooooo, Rachel is out of those sweet images right now but there are other Imaginisce products available in the store!!
I did have Kim Hughes set Ahoy Matey and so I grabbed the parrot and coloured him up with my copics. Then I added some Diamond Glaze to his cute little hat and his eyeball (ew....I hate that word eyeball... yuck)
I used my new Basic Grey Lemonade, available NOW at Hope Stamps Eternal, and this sheet matches perfectly with my Scarlet Jewel cardstock and ribbon....yay!
I stamped a Cornish Heritage Farms Large Polka Dot backgrounder onto Sweet Blush cardstock and layered it and my Lemonade designer paper onto Kraft and the Scarlet Jewel cardstock.
The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms Birthday Centers, and I gussied up my card with some K & Company baubles and a flower with a Karen Foster bling in the middle.
Now the Karen Foster bling WAS orange, so I took my brown copic marker and coloured over top of the jewel to make it a shade darker! Isn't that so cool! THAT is what blogging is all about - learning little tricks of the trade - believe me I didn't think that up by myself - I had help and I think it was Lauren Meader's blog where I read that tip!
I decided to enter this card into Cornish Heritage Farms Summer Stamp Star Design challenge. It is 5 weeks of cardmaking, so hopefully I can keep up to the challenges. I have the first one done! yay!
