Good Sunday morning everyone!
Well, today I am on my way home from the CHA supershow so this is preposted. I am sure I had a wonderful time and I will have a ton of pictures for you tomorrow or Tuesday!
But today is Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Inspiration Challenge day! The cupcake photo was super cute with it's little owls so naturally, since I had just received some wonderful little owls, I HAD to use them!
The cute little owl is popped up onto the card with a black foam dot adhered under the black part of the owl.
Since the owls are sheer, and you can see through them, using the black foam pop dot makes it even harder to detect. It looks like a magic floating owl.....uh huh....
The tree is paper pieced with Basic Grey June Bug and then I carried the same designer paper over to the card base for some continuity.
I added a little border of black cardstock cut out with my Martha Stewart cornice punch and then tied a May Arts Ribbon bow.
The sentiment is from Kim Hughes stamp set called "U R A Hoot" , although the real sentiment has two "whoot"s and I only wanted one "whoot" but, don't worry, I didn't give a "whoot" ! HAH!
.......and the tree is from Kim Hughes stamp set called "Making the Grade". I stamped the tree onto Basic Grey June Bug and cut out the top of the tree and then stamped it again onto the Kraft cardstock and cut out the trunk of the tree and glued them both onto the white cardstock.
I tied a bit of twine to the buttons and used mini glue dots to add them to the card and once they are on.....they are on! Fabulous stuff! The tag is made with one of the tags from the Wizard Tags Trio from Spellbinders.
Please take a look at the other HSE Sweeties blogs for their take on this wise little challenge!! ...and feel free to play with us - we would love it if you did! When you upload to Splitcoaststampers or Papercraft Planet, just make sure to leave the keyword CIC18 so we can all see your wonderful creation!!
