Good Sunday morning and Happy Easter to you and your family!
We had a wonderful family time (and eats!) at my mom's last night and saw family that we hadn't seen for years -a wonderful surprise for sure!
I used my Sizzix Bigz XL Die #3 for the box - terribly easy to put together and then I punched the edge of the flap with the Martha Stewart eyelet edge punch for a sweet finish.
I stamped the egg three different times in three different inks and cut out each one with my Spellbinders Nested Eggs die. I cut two of the eggs apart and then pieced them together on the remaining egg to make the different colours.
I stamped the sentiment in the middle and then attached it to the beautiful silk ribbon (from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply store).
I attached a small doily under the ribbon to make it pretty and then attached an Aqua Mist button with a Jenni Bowlin pearl embellishment on top.
Adorable box!
ReplyDeleteEvery holiday I make some form of place cards for my family. This year I'll be using the fab eggs from Claire's set! I love how you've paper pieced, and may use that idea for the back of the eggs - the side others will see.
I have time as, luckily, our dinner will be tomorrow :)
Happy Easter!
What a sweet box! I love lov elove it! That little edge is just amazing...I need more border punches!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Bonnie; love the extra touch of the pearls, and the punched sides of the lid. And of course, my colors...
