This Tangled a Rainbow!

I thought this week's Make it Monday challenge at Papertrey Ink was a strange one - but I had some stamping time so I thought I would give it  go and  it turned out oh so pretty - shows what I know - hah!

We were to make a rainbow medallion of sorts, from a stamp set that was not cut out for such a job feat.

I chose to use the Christmas tree stamp from Love Lives Here - Holiday and stamped it in a circle with a rainbow of inks!

I love how the tree stamp made a couple of little frames on its own when lined up the way it is.  It was a perfect frame for the Jar Label Die!

I added a mess of thread behind the Jar Label Die to match the theme - tangled life and all -

The stamp set for the sentiment is called Purls of Wisdom - "purls" to pull together the whole knitting/stitching thing again...

I was rather happy with how this turned out and I may have to try it again with another stamp set.....

  1. Seriously clever use of the Christmas tree stamp! And equally clever sentiment for this card! Just lovely.

  2. Great stamp choice and sentiment goes great too!

  3. Bonnie, this is a great stamp to use for the rainbow! Love the sentiment too :-)

  4. Great way to get more use out of holiday stamps! I too like how the design of the tree created it's own frames with the way it lined up. Beautiful!

  5. What a great idea to use the Christmas trees to make your medallion. You would never know they were trees. Very pretty.

  6. Absolutely gorgeous, Bonnie! Love the stamp choice for the medallion and the sentiment is spot on!

  7. This is so fun!! How clever of you to use Christmas trees!! Fabulous take on the MIM challenge!!

  8. Outstanding!! I love the image you selected! so clever and so perfect!

I also love the name of your blog! : ) too too cute.

  9. So colorful, happy and lovely design!
