hello. hello. hello
That was the theme for me last evening at a card making class I attended. I was only going to observe - honestly, but the card was so cute that I had to delve right in and create!
My daughter Marcie was teaching the class at our local library - so double the pleasure, double the fun.
There were two cards to be made, but someone had to hold little baby Jack, and I was the winner yay! - He is a such a cutie and he set about being so dang content that I'm pretty sure he was filling his pants or at the very least passing a ton of gas LOL - little boys……*love*
I decided to use the same colours that are offered up this week at The Color Throwdown - bright and beautiful!! I'm also linking up to this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge -make it girly!
The card we made was a shaker card - rightfully named - I'm not a fan of making them - don't ask me why but probably because there is so much fiddle diddling…. but Marcie had everything pre cut and provided the glue and die cuts making it a great experience.
I added some (very) fake stitching around the frame and then on the Lawn Fawn sentiment die cut so that I could pull the black from the flowers that I die cut and coloured in the Cas-ual Fridays Wonderful Words stamp set.
Join in on the fun at The Color Throwdown - I haven't been participating for a couple of weeks - but it feels good to be back at it!

Yes, shaker cards are marvelous, but they make me quake, too..fiddly-diddly and always, I wind up with sequins or beads alllll over my *huge* (HA! NOT!) crafting zone. Yours: incredibly pretty! Your card-making/grandson-bonding class sounds like a ton of fun. My nephew just turned four and he is *all* boy...impish one second, the ultimate sweetheart the next! I agree: *LOVE*
