I've joined up with the Online Card Class - learning how to craft with vellum - It's such a beautifully soft way to embellish and I wanted to find more ways to use it.
I'm also entering this card into The Card Concept's inspiration challenge this week - SPRING! Yeehaw if it ever shows up in this neck of the woods - I'll be surprised Lol
I stamped Papertrey Ink's Reasons to Smile stamp set (for some reason I can't find it on the website) with purples and greens and then water coloured around the image just a bit.
I stamped the sentiment with versa mark ink onto a strip of vellum and embossed with gold embossing powder. That strip was wrapped around the image panel and adhered with Multi Medium Matte at the back.
I also added a bit of the matte glue at the front of the card - behind the vellum - and hid the glue spot with those cute little enamel dots!
I think I really LOVE gold embossing! Head on over to The Card Concept and try out their challenge - so pretty!

ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful Bonnie. I adore the vellum strip and like the idea of using the glue on the front and covering with dots...thanks for the tip. And your soft water colouring is gorgeous, so pleased you shared this with us at The Card Concept
ReplyDeleteBeautiful coloring, especially the background.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card! I think the stamp set was a Limited Edition set during Stamp-a-Faire 2013.
