Calling All Sistahs Blog Hop!

Good Day --- it's the 17th of the month and that means that it is time for the Calling All Sistahs Blog Hop....a hop dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness.

First a little history of this special hop.....Shortly after CAS-ual Fridays owner Michele Gross was diagnosed with breast cancer,  she created Calling All Sistahs to help create breast cancer awareness beyond just the month of October-- by reminding you to do your self exams on the 17th of each month.

Calling All Sistahs Collection of stamps and dies were designed from the heart to make a difference.

50% of the profits from this collection will be donated to breast cancer research and awareness programs in honor of all who have been, and will be, affected by breast cancer.

You probably came here from the awesome Shona Chambers but if you got lost along the way - the whole dang list of people hopping can be found on the CAS-ual Fridays blog....and if you want to be added to next month's hop - information can be found at the end of the hop!

I've created a card using stamps and dies from the Calling All Sistahs Collection.

I stamped the large Hope Ribbon onto watercolor cardstock using Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  I then did a bit of watercolouring with pink and cut out the ribbon using the matching Ruffled Ribbon Fri-die.

Using one of the sentiments from the Hope Ribbon stamp set, I stamped across the bottom of white cardstock with two different pink inks.

I adhered the ribbon onto my stamped card stock and then popped the whole dang thing onto my light grey card base.  I die cut the "hope" Fri-die and added it to the ribbon and then I finished it off with grey twine tied around the top.

Now you are on your way to the amazing Lori Kobular - I'm sure she has something fabulous up her sleeve!
