Good Day --- it's the 17th of the month again and that means that it is time for the Calling All Sistahs Blog Hop....a hop dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness.
First a little history of this special hop.....Shortly after CAS-ual Fridays owner Michele Gross was diagnosed with breast cancer, she created Calling All Sistahs to help create breast cancer awareness beyond just the month of October-- by reminding you to do your self exams on the 17th of each month.
Calling All Sistahs Collection of stamps and dies were designed from the heart to make a difference.
50% of the profits from this collection will be donated to breast cancer research and awareness programs in honor of all who have been, and will be, affected by breast cancer.
You probably came here from the awesome Penny Ward's blog, but if you got lost along the way - the whole dang list of people hopping can be found on the CAS-ual Fridays blog....and if you want to be added to next month's hop - information can be found at the end of the hop!
I've created a card using stamps and dies from the Calling All Sistahs Collection.
I began by making a background from a TON of scrap papers on my desk....such a hoarder, but it comes in handy when you want to do something like this!
I lined up all my paper strips diagonally on a cardstock panel and glued them in a pretty fashion. I trimmed them down so that I could die cut a rectangle.
I die cut two circles and stamped two of the sentiments from the Calling All Sistahs stamp set on one of the circles, making sure to mask some of the sentiment so that I could stamp it in pink.
On the other circle, I stamped the flower from Wonderful Words in pink.
Using the "hope" Fri-die, I die cut and attached it to the flower circle using a cute pink clothespin.
I put it all together, along with some of Lucy's Cards sequins - the pretty Warm Golden ones!
Now you are on your way to the amazing Lori Kobular - I'm sure she has something fabulous up her sleeve!
Love the pretty pink strips of paper you used to make that gorgeous background!
