Bright is Right!

ETA:......thank you Donna for letting me know.... I just wasn't explaining it properly......you absolutely cannot earn this set anymore......but you can find out how to earn your own anniversary set in February 2010, by following the link I provided.....sorry for the confusion.....

Today's
Inspiration Challenge comes from Grandin Road, another gorgeous site where I could most willingly put my money down!

I was totally inspired by the bright colours of these memo pads and since I had my K & Company Berry Sweet paper pack out for another project, I was able to use the scraps on my table (and on the floor and under the chair and even in the garbage) to put this card together fairly quickly! yay me ....today anyway.....hehe...

I was able to use my brand new Papertrey Ink Anniversary stamp set "Everyday Classics" , which I EARNED I tell you-.......well actually I earned two sets, but who's counting? You can find out how to earn your own set right here, because it isn't available to buy, just earn.....hard work....mutter mutter.....

Don't you just love the teacups along the bottom? Okay I won't tease you anymore about the free Anniversary set that you could get too. Did I mention it has birds and hearts and teabags and stars......

Sorry about the short post today.....there is a garage sale in town today that the kids are in and I saw Andy lugging around some of my golf bags and clubs to sell, so I really must get down there to see exactly what else he has pilfered.......

I think I do remember him saying something about my things cluttering up the basement and not using stuff and storing too much junk - I particularly remember the word junk......
gotta go.....

Supplies: everything Papertrey Ink unless otherwise stated
Stamp Set: Everyday Classics, Around and About Sentiments
Paper: summer sunrise, hyacinth, stampers select white, K & Company Berry Sweet

Wild Thing.........again....

Super Duper Granny ......again......

Seriously, I am luvin' this old gal!! She is so easy to paper piece and her little sentiments are so cute!!

She is part of a set by Gina K Designs called "You know you're old when......" and terribly sweet!!

I hope I am this like her when I get Super Duper old!! AND I especially hope that I have a little car like she has.....I drive a Pontiac Torrent right now but in the summer I have a Volkswagon Cabrio ragtop that I love to zoom around in......yea I know........

I used Jenni Bowlin papers on this card along with a lot of scraps I had in my drawer. The stylized flower Cuttlebug folder, Kraft paper, twine and gingham ribbon finish it off quite nicely!

I can't believe that Easter is already this weekend! I don't have time for Easter!! - horrible thing to say isn't it?

I decided on my menu for Ron's family:
  • Smoked Ham,
  • Deep fried turkey,
  • garlic mashed potatoes, whiskey glazed carrots (omg delish.....),
  • peas with mushrooms - sounds weird but an old standby,
  • broccoli slaw and
  • rice pudding -another omg made with sinful cream and too easy to even talk about!!
  • and whatever the family brings.

So that should fill us up and make us run for the couch!

LPS Monday, Raspberry Suite!

I LOVE it when you can combine a challenge but honestly, I am the biggest wuss. I feel guilty combining a challenge.

I can't help think that I am being unloyal to something....you know....thinking of one challenge while also thinking of the other........not giving yourself wholly to one thing.......like I said ....wuss...

Well, I threw caution to the wind and decided to be unloyal so I did THREE challenges in one today.

Little Paper Shop has a sketch challenge (with lots of exciting Anniversary detai
ls HERE!!) and Dawn McAvey's colour challenge and Moxie Fab has a challenge where sewing must be a part of your focal challenge. I don't know if my sewing went that far but I am entering it anyway!

The sketch was a cute one but kind of gave me gas, if you know what I mean......and the colours - there were so many of them (boy am I whiney today - Monday, snowy, bleh)
Kraft, Red, Vanilla, Berry and Soft Pink.

I pierced each scallop and then around the outside of the sentiment and then sewed my twine around the sentiment.

I hope you like my card better than our weather today......like I said, snowy and bleh....perk up Lucky, it could always be worse!!!

Sorry I don't have much to gab about today. Got my carpets cleaned on Saturday, made Shake and Bake chicken last night for supper, and have to think about Easter this coming weekend because hubby's family is coming here. Menu? not yet......
