It's time for another Color Throwdown and this week's colour swatch is just as gorgeous as ever!
I love it when green is incorporated into the swatch - that - for me, means flowers!
I finally broke down and ordered Papertrey Ink's Rosie Posie stamp set and additions - I have been watching and drooling for as long as it has been released - but I took the plunge and I am happy about my choice!
My card is made up of a soft stone base and a white die cut Cover Plate stripes -horitzontal adhered to the base.
Using Winter Wisteria and Plum Pudding, I created the blooms and then with Limeade Ice and Simply Chartreuse the leafs came to life! I popped the flowers up onto a scalloped die cut from Reverse Confetti and then die cut the word HUGS.
The sentiment didn't stand out enough I thought, so I die cut another HUGS in black and offset it with the first white HUGS.
I finished it off by tying a strand of black and white twine around the top of the card.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Bonnie! I always loved the Rosie Posie set from Papertrey but bought the second part thinking that was it. So - still have to order the initial Rosie Posie set! On my wish list - but you've done a beautiful job with it!
