Color Throwdown HUGS

It's time for another Color Throwdown and this week's colour swatch is just as gorgeous as ever!

I love it when green is incorporated into the swatch - that - for me,  means flowers!

I finally broke down and ordered Papertrey Ink's Rosie Posie stamp set and additions - I have been watching and drooling for as long as it has been released - but I took the plunge and I am happy about my choice!

My card is made up of a soft stone base and a white die cut Cover Plate stripes -horitzontal adhered to the base.

Using Winter Wisteria and Plum Pudding, I created the blooms and then with Limeade Ice and Simply Chartreuse the leafs came to life!  I popped the flowers up onto a scalloped die cut from Reverse Confetti and then die cut the word HUGS.

The sentiment didn't stand out enough I thought, so I die cut another HUGS in black and offset it with the first white HUGS.

I finished it off by tying a strand of black and white twine around the top of the card.

  1. Gorgeous card Bonnie. Love the pretty flower and the different tones... the striped background is so awesome. Thank you for playing along with us at The Color Throwdown.

  2. Beautiful card Bonnie! I always loved the Rosie Posie set from Papertrey but bought the second part thinking that was it. So - still have to order the initial Rosie Posie set! On my wish list - but you've done a beautiful job with it!

  3. Beautiful card - love the flowers against that pretty background.

  4. Gorgeous Bonnie!! I have been eyeing that stamp set for years myself!! So glad you joined us at CTD!

  5. Such an eye catching design! Love the offset sentiment. Thanks for joining us at the Color Throwdown!
