Maria sent him/her/it to me in my pay-it-forward parcel! so I made him/her/it up into this weeks SFYTT on i{heart}2stamp - even got the right sketch - and there will be a new one tomorrow - already.
Sometimes I wonder if I will ever catch up......I used to be super organized. It was about 1980 B.K. (before kids) and probably before some of you were born - but I'm not touching that!
I used Basic Grey's Two Scoops paper for this sketch - I love the summer colours....pink, turquoise-- yummy!
I chose to add a sentiment and ribbon in place of what could have been brads in Jen's sketch, because, let's face it, if you have seen me add 3 brads to anything........ it is past time that I searched for a "how-to" on three - two works for me - three - not so much.....
The ribbon is Papertrey Ink's Berry Sorbet twill ribbon and this is the first time I have used it and I LOVE it! I kept thinking that it would be so stiff and difficult to tie - but not in the least! yay!
I used my clear Copic Glitter pen to highlight the little guy and the flowers and basically most everything!
I am so happy that all the glitter showed up in my photo - sometimes it just doesn't photograph well and you know what I mean!!
I love this pen - I read that it has actually got little pieces of crushed glass in the ink - or the glass is the ink - anyway, it makes it sparkle and shine and I luv it! Ellen has the glitter pens in her store in different colours!
For the centre of the flower I used an Autumn Leaves button with a green bling glued on top, and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Shapes by Design stamp set.
Off to London to see my new little grand-nephew who was born on the 23rd. He really wasn't due until the first weekend in August, so he is a bit of a preemie and of course the nurses are taking excellent care of him......doing all those brilliant preemie things they do!!
We will go and offer our support and maybe get a little peekie at him - hope so!
That is a real CUTIE!
