Gingerbread Man....

Really, what is Christmas without a Gingerbread Man??!

I love gingerbread cookies, in fact, the last craft show we were in, the lady beside us was selling those dang cookies, and be dingled if we didn't buy three dozen while we sat there and ate them up!!

So where am I going with this, you ask. Well, Marcie and I went to Chatham yesterday to our favourite place, The Paper Pickle, and I picked up this cute little Gingerbread Man stamp from Impression Obsession (plus a few other things hee hee!).

I was especially drawn to him because his tummy reminds me of somebody - whooops - ME!! lol!

I stamped him and coloured him with copics and then went to look for a sentiment.

Well, low and behold, I got thinking about the time I applied for a Design Team position on Impression Obsession. I didn't get it the position, obviously, but they did send me a wonderful little package of stamps just for trying out!!

Inside the little package was this cute little sentiment, that matches perfectly with the Gingerbread Man! How cool is that??!! Now I wish I had of bought the boy and girl gingerbread too......they are just as sweet!

I used this sketch from Jen, which I always save, because I know that I love Jen's sketches, I just never get around to doing them because I can't find the time, even though I have a week for heaven's sake, it just doesn't work!

Basic Grey Wassail 6 x 6 paper pack is my designer paper, except for the red panel which is DCWV Christmas pack. I stamped that red panel with Cornish Heritage Farms Scroll Scrapblock in Fired Brick Distress Ink.

I put a little Stickly glitter on the scarf and the button, for some pizazz!!

So now I get to go and program my new LCD tv that we got for Christmas for each other!

My hubby has an aversion to shopping for anything personal, he always decides that we should buy a gift for the house - and they are always fabulous ideas - but now I have to figure out the programming....ugh!

  6. oh you're gingerbread man is so cute! Love that Wassail paper!

Great idea for buying a house gift. It is silly to buy each other things. I actually have to make my husband a list and then go on the computer and show him how to shop for them! Today is our wedding anniversary-so we skip the gifts...too close to Christmas!
