Good morning and welcome to our 5th challenge for Little Paper Shop!
If you would like to play along, and you know you do, just upload your card to your Splitcoast Stampers gallery with the keyword LPSC05 and/or littlepapershop (no spaces) and don't forget to get around to all the design team members awesome challenge cards too! Their links are on the side of my blog.....
This week we are doing a colour challenge with Stamping UP colours, Tangerine Tango, Bashful Blue and Old Olive AND - the most wonderful news - I actually have these colours!! YAY for me!!!
I was so happy that Basic Grey paper, Marrakech, is a perfect match for the challenge and I also decided to try to incorporate a lot of white space in this card.
I used my Scor-Pal to make a bit of pattern on the white circle and then added scalloped circles of the challenge colours. I used the Cuttlebug Butterfly Tag Team combo die and cut it out of the Marrakech paper and then embossed it with the Cuttlebug embossing folder that goes with this die.
I also cut out the Cuttlebug Butterfly from acetate and used another one of the embossing folders. I love the look of embossed acetate!!
I ran the bottom of the card through the Swiss Dot embossing folder, and I am kind of thinking I should have ran the top of the card through also, but then where would the sentiment go?! ( which I have done) Oh bother.
I used one of the sentiments from the Little Paper Shop stamp set Topiary and stamped it in the appropriate spot......that is not on top of Swiss Dot embossing and as Jake would say "good job Grandma"!
Thanks for peeking today!

This is really pretty Bonnie. I never thought of putting acetate through the Cuttlebug! Hmmm... wheels are turning...
ReplyDeleteI also like the way you did the diamond pattern. Is that a folder or just using the Scor Pal?
Terrific card!
I love this card! The sentiment stamped in black really 'pops' against that white space and other bright colours...beautiful!
