Exciting Ink Squad News!

Wow!! do I have some exciting news to share with you!  I'm on The Ink Squad because I am now a Girl Friday!!

And of course I made a card to welcome you all, because the stamping community if just so awesome!

I saw a video on Jennifer McGuire's blog regarding making rainbow backgrounds and so I had to try it with the CAS-ual Fridays Curtis Background.

I stamped the background with Versamark Ink on white cardstock and then embossed it with white
embossing powder.

Using various distress inks, I slid the coloured ink over top of the embossing - sort of willy nilly (very technical stamping term).  I then spritzed the cardstock with water and watched the colours "join" together to form the prettiness!!

I cut the background sheet on a diagonal and adhered it to a white card base.  Using the "friend" Fri-die, I die cut it in pink and then in white cardstock and slightly overlapped them together.

I adhered that to the card base and stamped the "hey there" sentiment from the "Girlfriend" stamp set along with the little starburst to dot the "i".

I added a little twinkly gem and some twine to finish it off!
