ETA: I had a lady email me saying it was not very nice to portray the Twinkling Tuesday job as something to kick around........I actually intended that the little smiley (at the end of this post) is the Twinkling Tuesday girls kicking me out.....but I guess it was misunderstood. And just so you know, I did not get kicked out, but I just love the smiley's and sorry if you thought I was making fun of the Twinkling Tuesday's......notta, no way, wouldn't do it........
I made this Tattered Angels card for a 70th wedding anniversary and the CPS card sketch this week! Can you even imagine 70 years of wedded bliss?! I would LOVE that and hope to achieve it, which would put me at 40 more years with the love of my life.....okay, maybe not all bliss
and Ron would admit that too, but we hang in there through the tough times and ride the wave through the good times!
I laid the Glimmer Screens Blossom on white cardstock and sprayed them with Tattered Angels Honeydew Mist and Snow Angel glimmer mist. Then I carefully removed them and got that gorgeous background of pink and green blossoms!I love the effect of those shimmery sprays!! I kind of turned the sketch around to my liking and so it worked better for my layout......
Today is Twinkling Tuesday and I have officially resigned...... after my six month stint was up
.........I have a lot on my plate right now and something has to go! I can't do everything ya know! I AM ONLY ONE WOMAN!!
But seriously, I will miss those girls and their support, because it was a fun team with a LOT of e-mails, LOL!!
Just popping in to say hi......beautiful skies......warm winds.......gorgeous golf weather............;)
We were in a tournament yesterday and we won the prize called "Most Honest Golfers"....I'm thinking that if you are a competitive person......you might not like that prize haha!
Our score was bad, the day was wonderful, my body is aching today.......
A little bit of Fluffles goodness today.....I have several images inked up and lazing around not doing anything......so I coloured her with copics and added a few scraps that were laying around my desk.
The sentiment is from the fun Papertrey Ink set "Day at the Beach" but I can't link it up for some reason.....maybe it could be blogger......dunno.
I am quite proud of myself for being able to use up some scraps and it actually resembles a card haha!
I am heading out to the clothesline to bring in the sheets......I love the fresh smell of clean clothes off the line...............
Good Tuesday morning to you all and that means it must be time for Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday challenge!!
This week our guest designer is Jameson, Rebecca's son, and he has an inspiration challenge! Our inspiration was all the pages from the book Suki’s Kimono.
The whole moral of the book is that being your OWN self and trying not to succumb to peer pressure always works out in the end. Of course, that is hard to do when you are 8 years old and in Grade 2, like Jameson! My card focused on more of the moral than the pictures in the book, although they were beautiful! Gorgeous shades or oranges and blues, beautiful watercoloured pictures of Suki in her kimono, a parade.....so many things in which to be inspired.
My sketch is from this week's Taylored Expressions sketch challenge and I used the image and sentiment from Stamping Bella. My Daisy Buckets designer papers, which I got at The Paper Pickle, were perfect since they have all sorts of monsters on them (although Murphy's Law said to cut out the monsters, so I did
) silly me.Hope you are having a good day. I have a day planned of laundry and hanging clothes on my new clothesline
Today's Little Paper Shop challenge is a sketch provided by Allison.......We would love for you to play along and if you do, there is a prize for you this week!! Check out the Little Paper Shop blog to see the details!!I used the sentiment from the set {Butterflies} and some delicious Scenic Route designer paper that I have been hoarding, for my card.
I even did a little bit of sewing, which I am so pleased with!
Here is Allison's sketch if you choose to play!!
On a wonderful note, my hubby finally brought me back my camera
that he has had for THREE days, so I am again, able to take some pictures......
