This weekend, in conjunction with World Cardmaking Day, Little Paper Shop is releasing another stamp set, this one called Topiary........
It is a cute little set with more wonderful sentiments.
My card today is an apology to Julia, for not having this card ready for the gallery!
Somehow I completely missed the part about showing this set today, so I had to scramble, but I think it turned out beautiful...... I mean, with these stamps you just can't lose!!
I decided on Kraft paper today and I also admire Silke's white cards so much I thought I would give it a go....
I stamped the topiary on Kraft paper with white craft ink and then embossed it with white embossing powder. I coloured in the leaves a wee bit with a copic marker.
The green cardstock "frill" on the side of the card was made with the threading water punch - I love it and you will probably see it a lot until I get another punch I like just as much!
The designer paper is from Martha Stewart's line......I've been having a hard time finding a way to use it, but it worked great for this image!
For the sentiment circle, I stamped the topiary tree in Papertrey Ink Spring Moss onto the white circle and then stamped the sentiment right over top of it, then I back it with more Kraft and the opposite side of the Martha Stewart designer paper - that pretty green paper.
I'm going into the white card thing gradually lol! Silke can sure pull it off, but on my card it looked rather bare, so I made a few little piercings in the upper corner!
There is another set to show tomorrow, so be sure to come back and see that one too!
And you can check out the design team's gallery on the Little Paper Shop website or their individual blogs for their take on this cute little set!!
