I Charged It!

Tangii from Paper Makeup Stamps sent me an e-mail a few weeks ago asking a bunch of personal questions and I thought - is this appropriate??!! Neh, I didn't think that - I know....aren't I so funny?

She is doing a Spotlight on all of the Design Team members and today is my turn, so if you would like to head over to the Paper Makeup blog, you can find out everything you ever wanted to know about me - within the ten questions range of course!

I just so happen to have a card I made with some Paper Makeup Stamps -and I have to say that hubby thinks that this sentiment is my "motto" lately LOL!

I used one of the stamps from the "Everything a Girl Needs" bundle and coloured it with my copic markers.  I cut out the circle with the circle nestabilties and added a few little  Zva bling, the sentiment and a ribbon with a rolled flower!

Off to pick up hubby's shoes that he left at the golf course last week after a golf tournament......I had the extreme pleasure of being the Designated Driver of four stinky beany men......hmmmm.......lovely.

Did you know that men gossip so much more than women??!! Especially when they have had a few too many lol!!

Dashing through the Snow!

Good Morning! This week DRS Designs is hosting the Card Patterns Sketch #79!

My card is another Christmas design that I happen to love!

I used the Christmas Music Background to stamp my main image and then stamped it again on some Kraft cardstock.  I cut an ornament from the Kraft cardstock with my Sizzix Bigz die and layered  it onto the main image, matching up the music as best as I could!

I added a beautiful big bow and some Christmas stars to finish it off! Hope you lik-ey!

Hello.

Another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge is up!! Waltz over to the blog to see the sketch and then enter the challenge - you could be a Top Mouse this week!

This is my card for this week's sketch - WMSC12!

I used Big Blooms Chrysanthemums for my background in Terra Cotta Tile and Summer Sunrise.

The sentiment is from Fancy Phrases and I stamped it onto one of the Spellbinders Fancy Tags - ooooo Fancy!!! (groan)

I distressed the edges with my scissors because my HS distressor is on my desk somewhere - I honestly am organizing - just haven't got to that spot yet....true story.

Wish!

I made this card for the inspiration challenge last week, which was to find something at Pink Taffy Designs to be inspired by! - just never got around to posting it!

I was inspired by this baby wipe case - so cute!

and I knew that the Paper Makeup Stamps set Dandy Wishes would totally rock this image!

I used several different colours of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist for my background -from top to bottom -Snow angel, Sugar bronze, Vintage pink, and Red velvet.

Then I stamped the image and sentiment from Dandy Wishes in Staz-on ink, popped on a couple of Martha Stewart Butterflies with some black gems and then I was done!

Super easy!

I am so glad the weekend is finally here! I was feeling rather neglected in the happy mail department lol! but today I received these lovely little cubbies in the mail from Studio 3 Solutions- such a wonderful thing for organizing my copic markers !!(did I tell you I am trying to get organized - long story - even longer task lol!)

They were stored in pails on my desk - which was okay, but I got tired of lugging 5 pails upstairs everytime I needed to colour in the light! Now I just have to carry these two little cubbies! Very light and transportable!

Just Arrived!

Another short post today....so sorry...but I am working hard on the next releases! I am sure you will be thrilled with what is coming up!

This is a card I made before the CHA show in Chicago, where I learned how to make a proper impression with the Papertrey Ink Impression plates.

I didn't have my sandwich aligned properly in this card, and the little Book Print impression plate almost ate right through the cardstock -!! lol!

I shoudln't laugh, because it could have damaged my plate - but it didn't thank goodness!

Everything on this card is from Papertrey Ink except the bottom die which is from Tim Holtz -I just cut it in half before I used it. - The paper that is, not the die ....heh heh....

VW Congrats!

We have a couple that we are friends with that love Volkswagens!! They drive them, fix them, work with them and then they got my hubby obsessed with them too!

They are getting married in a few months and I had a bridal shower to attend, so I thought this was the perfect card for them!

I used Papertrey Ink's Enjoy the Ride and the die that comes with it! I am totally obsessed with all these dies that are coming out! I just HAVE to have each and every one of them!

I matched it up with Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love - I can't get enough of this paper - I know it is last year's line but I still love it!  A bit of stitching and some Zva pearls and the sentiment from Signature Greetings- which is hard to see I know, and it is done!

Off to Sarnia today to take Holly to her Math class - I think I am going to stamp some images, go to the public library and sit and colour! It makes perfect sense to me!

Doodle me This!

Ta da! I am taking a Doodle/doodle class - capital "D" or small "d"?....I need to let go of such things if I am to learn to Doodle/doodle!

The class is with Stephanie Ackerman -absolutely LOVE her Doodles!! and it starts today Monday 23rd......

Here was a project that we did before the class started - just to get the feel for it - the words were already doodled (thank goodness!) we only had to fill the letters in how we wanted to and then colour what we thought needed colouring and ....well.....doodle!!

Stephanie had a finished one that we could look at - so what did I do? Pretty much doodled and coloured it the way she did - I DID manage, towards the end, to add a bit of my own look to it - not a lot for sure I am still too insecure for that... lol!

I love the quotes she provides,  if nothing else LOL! but I am looking forward to it so much! Just a little something different - ya know what I mean?

Jingle all the Way!

Good Sunday morning to you!  have another card to show you using the new DRS Designs Christmas releases!

I used the Jingle Bell Background stamped in VersaMagic - Red Magic - such a crisp clear image don't you think?

Next I stamped the Holly 3" Giga Oval in Brilliance Thyme and then the Jingle all the Way sentiment was stamped in the Red Magic in the center of the oval.

I stamped and coloured the Holly Background, cut out a few of the holly leaves and added them as embellishments.

I added some glittery paper for a border across the top and it was done! A pretty darn easy card even though I used four stamps!!

Have you got your Christmas cards started yet? Now's the time!

Spooky Sketch Challenge!

Good Day! It is time for another wonderful Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!

This week I got a little more creative and decided to change up the sketch just a bit - well, I guess I didn't change it but I certainly didn't make a card!

I created a few of these coasters a year or so ago for another challenge, but they were for Christmas, so I thought why not for Halloween?

I used three different Halloween sets for these coasters......Halloween Party Stamp Set, Midnight Feast and Wanda's Pantry Set.

Wouldn't these be great for a little hostess gift at a Halloween Party?

The outside is, of course, the large scalloped circle Nestabilities, the next is the Large circle Nestabilities and the middle circle is from the Small circle Nestabilities dies.

With the small circle Nestabilties, I cut my patterned paper, which is from the Basic Grey Eerie Collection.

Then I cut a piece of double sided clear adhesive and attached that to the patterned paper - on the top - and then attached a piece of clear cardstock on to the adhesive _clear as mud?

And all you do is stamp away to your heart's content - using Staz-on Ink!! Otherwise it will never dry! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

Your wine glasses or pop cans can sit on top of the coaster and not make the paper all mushy! They are only good for two or three uses, but it's only paper, you can make more!

Thanks for coming around! and I hope you can join along with this week's sketch challenge. After you have made your project, please head on over to The Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge site & link your post. If you post your creations in an on-line gallery, please label it WMSC11 so we won't miss them! Be sure to see what the other Waltzingmouse DT girls & Mischief Makers have created and for complete details.

Baby Baby Baby!

Good day! Today I have a card that I made awhile ago for a lady who needed a baby card (obviously!)

I used Crafty Secrets Baby Girl Homespun Cotton Scraps for this card - I added a bit of felt to the back of the image and gave it a quick sewing with my funky little sewing machine!

It is pretty sweet if I do say so myself! Sorry about the quick post - I am so tired I am going to bed!

Jingle Bells!

Good Morning! It was my turn to blog on the DRS Designs Blog  yesterday and this is the card that I showed!

I am so excited to be able to preview our new stamps that will be released to you, our wonderful customers, on August 21st!!

AND, I hope you are participating in our Blog Hop Scavenger Hunt that began on August 17th and ends today,  so you can get some wonderful ideas and win some Christmas stamps - it's never too soon to start those cards!!

How about some Christmas Bells??!

For my card today I stamped the soon-to-be released Christmas Music Background in Versamark and then clear embossed it for my background.

I stamped and coloured the "Bells and Bows" image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and copics.

I then re-stamped the image onto Spellbinders gold craft foil with Black Staz-on ink, cut out the bells only and glued them onto the first image.

I cut it out with the Spellbinders Labels 4 die, popped it up onto the Christmas Music Background and then attached that to my white card base and voila - finished!

It took me awhile to get my brain around Christmas (in 97 degree weather) but it's never too early to start your Christmas cards!!

August Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz

If you are following the DRS Designs Blog Hop please scroll down! Thank You!

Yay! It's time for another Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz and this time we are focusing on Shabby Chic/Vintage which I absolutely LOVE !

Now, instead of counting the watermarks, we have a new little game this month...." Guess the Stamp Set"!!

That's right.....we, the Design Team, have assembled a bunch of clues for you.....just put all the clues together and take a wild guess and you could win the new stamp set that is being released in September!

My card is a sort of vintage card - I decided to put the windows from last month's release "Midnight Feast" on top of an old building (I used a Tim Holtz Cuttlebug embossing folder)

I stamped the three "tall" windows and cut them out. Then, using my twoway glue pen, I added glue and then poured on some glitter all around the windows. (Did you notice my clue??!! huh huh did you??)

I was able to stamp some bats, cut them out and pop them up on to the windows for added spookiness!

On we go and now I am going to waltz around to see all the wonderful vintage-ness out there!!

Scavenger Hunt/Blog Hop!

Good day and welcome to DRS Design Blog Hop/Scavenger Hunt!

If you are coming here from Alicia's blog you are on the right track! and you have received your first clue!!

If you are just popping in, you may want to make your way back to the beginning so that you don't miss any of the clue's that will help you win new stamps!!

After my post you will be able to move on to the next location to find more clue's!! I don't have any clue's today-but there are more on the hunt!

My card features the new stamp called Wintertime Buddies and I stamped Santa and the snowman with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with my Copic markers. I love Memento ink with copics - no running or smearing! yay!

Santa's cute buckle was coloured with my gold deco pen! My little snowflake embellishments are actually silver eyelet snowflakes that I coloured with my gold deco pen also! After attaching the eyelets I added a gold brad to each snowflake!

Okay You are now on your way to Jennifer's Blog to get your second clue!!

Simple Joy.....

Good Sunday to you!!I am so glad because today is the day we get to start showing our previews for DRS Designs Christmas stamps!!

Christmas you say??!! Oh that is what I thought too until I started making these cards - so sweet and cute stamps they are - I had a hard time putting them down!!

These stamps will be available for sale on August 21st! AND as well we are having a blog hop in which you could win lots of the stamps from this release! Check out those details here on the DRS Designs Blog!!

My card today is a simple CAS (clean and simple) card - made especially this way to showcase the beautiful "Joy" stamp!

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured the word "Joy" and that sweet little mouse and the holly that is on top of the "o". I cut it out with the small Petite Oval Nestabilities and then framed the image with the small Petite Scalloped Oval Nestabilities.

The other holly that is to the left of the image, is from another new background stamp. I just stamped and coloured and cut out one of the holly's to add a little embellishment!

Then I added the secret ingredient - STICKLES!! to the berries! Love Stickles!

Don't forget about the Blog Hop/Scavenger Hunt on August 17th - just two more sleeps! lol!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!

and I dislike this card.....

Do you ever make a card and think - Whaaaat was I thinking? or Was I thinking? - this is one of those cards - I even started early to make this card so that I wouldn't be rushing....no excuses it is  a stinker!
Smiley from millan.net

But I am showing you anyway just so you know that even designers botch it up occasionally!

Actually, the colours are not this far off in real life....and this is the card that I made and it will have to do!

If you would like to follow the sketch challenge, you can find the details on the WMS sketch challenge blog!

Today is the review of our Paper Makeup Stamps Release and it is my day to showcase the birdhouse in the set called Home Matters!

I used the birdhouse and stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, coloured the images with my copics and then added them both to the card base which was made with K & Company Citronella papers and a LOT of K & Company Citronella flowers!

The sentiment is also part of the same stamp set - love this very versatile set!
