Good Morning! Did you realize that today is 10/10/10??!! Yes, I know - I get excited over little things lol!

What a release that Paper Makeup Stamps had! I love these stamps - they are the cutest ever!!

I am reviewing the stamp called Moodie for Computers and inked up my stamp and the sentiment and using my  SEI Jocelyn papers and  set out to make my card - very simple design this month - I am so busy with harvest (real harvest - not Farmville lol!!)

Be sure to check out the rest of the design team and their fabulous creations!!

And thank you for supporting me with my Paper Makeup Stamps .....this is my last post for PSM.....I think I over extended myself with Design Teams the past few months and I just couldn't give it my all.....so I have asked to be let go from PMS......sad but necessary!!

Paper Makeup Stamps Blog Hop Release!!

Good morning and welcome to the Paper Makeup Stamps October Release hop!! Don't forget that tonight is our release party in our forum - so please try to come around and chat with us and say hello!

As per usual, we have a little letter search game for you - gather up every letter from the hop, put together the phrase, and that is your code to receive 15% off this month's releases!! yay!! or is that eh!!  OR IS THAT "A"!!!

If you are just coming from Dawn's Blog you are on the right track. If you just popped in to say hi, well hello! and you may want to start at the beginning of our hop, which would be at the Paper Makeup Stamps Blog so that you don't miss a delicious thing!!

Let me introduce you to Jenny Fairy, a sweet little fairy who is having a little trouble with her weight - ah! - this could be me!

I love the little sentiment - just what a girl needs to hear.....

I have always felt like I have had weight issues all my life - right from the get go - but when I look at pictures of years ago I don't see any weight problem at all! Isn't that weird how our minds work?!  So I am just going to keep thinking that way -"I bet I look mahhhhvelous" LOL!!

I used the lovely SEI papers called Jocelyn and sewed them together onto Ocean Tides cardstock for my base.

I didn't receive my stamps in time this month, so this is a digi image that I am using, which is why her face may have a couple of little black streaks in it!

I coloured her with my copics and then cut her out with the tall, oval Spellbinders nestabilities.

I then added a beautiful Prima flower to finish off the card!! Isn't she sweet??!!

Okay now you are on your way to follow the blog and your next stop is Lisa!!

Quixotic paperie/Paper Makeup Stamps blog hop!

Good morning peeps! Today I have the pleasure of being a member of the Quixotic Paperie/Paper Makeup Stamps blog hop!

Quixotic Paperie is the only other online store that carries Paper Makeup Stamps! and since it is in the UK, all of our UK friends can get PMS stamps quicker!

I used the beautiful image from the Dandy Wishes stamp set and inked it up in two different inks - Melon Berry and Hawaiian Shores! The sentiment is from Little Moments Mini Set and it is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.

I used my funky sewing machine, to zig zag around the edges of my Imaginisce paper and tied a Melon Berry Ribbon around the side.......

The following are the list of participants in our fabulous hop!

I took the weekend off from blogging because on Saturday we wanted to travel to the Stratford Garlic Festival - and then unfortunately it rained so our plans changed and I decided to just laze around the house and not do anything, and that's exactly what I did!

And then on Sunday, it cleared up enough that we were able to go to Grape Jam at Smith & Wilson Winery, and hear three fabulous Blues Bands and drink wine in the autumn sun! It was great!

Paper Makeup Stamps Sneak Peeks!

Good Day, it is time again for the Paper Makeup Stamps Pre-release peeks!! Always such a fun and exciting time when we get to show off new stamps!!

I get to show off the Pinwheel stamp (all week I have been calling it a windmill - whattheheck?) so I stamped it three times on white cardstock and one on a piece of scrap cardstock.

I coloured them all up and cut out the extra pinwheel and popped it up onto the middle pinwheel!

Since I was using my Cosmo Cricket Delovely paper pack again, I matched it up with a piece of Raspberry Fizz cardstock and ribbon and then a button down below with some turquoise twine!

I actually had a sentiment in that spot with the button, but the sentiment hasn't been released yet, so I put a huge button over top! - Great save huh?!

Wander over to the Paper Makeup Blog to see what all the other girls have been designing and to find out all the particulars- fabulous stuff!!

I Charged It!

Tangii from Paper Makeup Stamps sent me an e-mail a few weeks ago asking a bunch of personal questions and I thought - is this appropriate??!! Neh, I didn't think that - I know....aren't I so funny?

She is doing a Spotlight on all of the Design Team members and today is my turn, so if you would like to head over to the Paper Makeup blog, you can find out everything you ever wanted to know about me - within the ten questions range of course!

I just so happen to have a card I made with some Paper Makeup Stamps -and I have to say that hubby thinks that this sentiment is my "motto" lately LOL!

I used one of the stamps from the "Everything a Girl Needs" bundle and coloured it with my copic markers.  I cut out the circle with the circle nestabilties and added a few little  Zva bling, the sentiment and a ribbon with a rolled flower!

Off to pick up hubby's shoes that he left at the golf course last week after a golf tournament......I had the extreme pleasure of being the Designated Driver of four stinky beany men......hmmmm.......lovely.

Did you know that men gossip so much more than women??!! Especially when they have had a few too many lol!!

Wish!

I made this card for the inspiration challenge last week, which was to find something at Pink Taffy Designs to be inspired by! - just never got around to posting it!

I was inspired by this baby wipe case - so cute!

and I knew that the Paper Makeup Stamps set Dandy Wishes would totally rock this image!

I used several different colours of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist for my background -from top to bottom -Snow angel, Sugar bronze, Vintage pink, and Red velvet.

Then I stamped the image and sentiment from Dandy Wishes in Staz-on ink, popped on a couple of Martha Stewart Butterflies with some black gems and then I was done!

Super easy!

I am so glad the weekend is finally here! I was feeling rather neglected in the happy mail department lol! but today I received these lovely little cubbies in the mail from Studio 3 Solutions- such a wonderful thing for organizing my copic markers !!(did I tell you I am trying to get organized - long story - even longer task lol!)

They were stored in pails on my desk - which was okay, but I got tired of lugging 5 pails upstairs everytime I needed to colour in the light! Now I just have to carry these two little cubbies! Very light and transportable!

M4TW Challenge!

Here we are, another week gone by and another Makeup for the Weekend Challenge for Paper Makeup Stamps

This week it is my turn to issue the challenge to you!! It is a colour challenge and the colours to use are Lime Green,Turquoise, and Kraft and another neutral colour if you wish ie white, brown, black!

Here is the card I made and I used the sentiments from Cute Critter Sayings!

My paper is the 6 x 6 Cosmo Cricket Delovely paper pack (again) which has the same colours as my challenge.

I decided to make a sort of scene with a tree die cut, the Spellbinders Owl, which I think is discontinued now unfortunately, and some strategic sewing with my sewing machine!

Take a look at the Paper Makeup Blog to see what other designers are playing and then why don't you try the challenge yourself and you could win a stamp this week! wahoo!

OKAY!! The final word is - IF you would like to be in the running to win the stamp - you need to use PMS stamps - if you would just like to enter the challenge to showcase your car and get your blog out there - you can use any stamps - whew....I'm a dork.....

ETA: I just found out that you do need to use Paper Makeup Stamps (oops! sorry for the misinformation -You certainly don't have to use PMS stamps, but if you've got them, why not?!

Love the Neighbours!

Today is the review of our Paper Makeup Stamps Release and it is my day to showcase the birdhouse in the set called Home Matters!

I used the birdhouse and stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, coloured the images with my copics and then added them both to the card base which was made with K & Company Citronella papers and a LOT of K & Company Citronella flowers!

The sentiment is also part of the same stamp set - love this very versatile set!

Isn't this card just so bright and cheery??!

Take a look at the Paper Makeup Blog to see who else is showcasing today to see somemore awesome reviews!!

Hopefully you are gathering up your letters all along the hop so that you can receive 15% off anything in the new release! What could be better??!!

So onto my release card!

This image is called Moody for Kitties and I decided she needed to be dressed up sparkly so I coloured her up with my copics and then added a small bit of sparkle with my Spica Glitter pen in the middle of her dress.

Of course, the sparkle doesn't show up very much - but I have a close up that captures it wonderfully! (uhm....don't look at her hand-it's a botch up!)

The kitties are all grey - purely sentimental reasons - *sniff*....

and here is your next letter!

And your next stop is the fabulous Maria!! I can't wait to see what she has up her blog hop sleeve!!

Paper: digital from My Time Made Easy, Papertrey Ink
Accessories: button, twine, EK Success edge punch, ribbon

Okay, on to my card!

I am using a new sentiment that will be available on August 7th and I paired it up with some of my Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride.

I made a scalloped edge with my Stamping Up scallop punch and then I just cut some slits up the scallops to give it some texture!

The ruffled "ribbon" is actually fabric tape which I was able to get from the Love My Tapes booth! A few rolls I might add!

The flower is a prima and I tied it with some twine and added a button!!

Take a toot over to the Paper Makeup Stamps blog to see who else is posting today with more sneak peeks!!

A Baby Shower!

Paper Makeup Stamps is having a surprise baby shower blog hop!!  SURPRISE LISA!!

Yes, our own Lisa McKinney is expecting her second child the beginning of August - which is pretty much right smartly isn't it?!

If you are coming here from Christi S.'s blog then you are on the right track (and almost done I might add!!)

If you have just popped in, why don't you start at the Paper Makeup Blog, so that you can see all the baby cards we have going on!

I don't have very many baby stamps yet from Paper Makeup Stamps, so I had to improvise and make a card with just a sentiment, using Cutie Critter Sayings, and I decided that this sentiment applies to babies too!!

I made up a little quilted card using October Afternoon paper - because nothing says babies like a quilt! and then added the sentiment, added a button and presto-- baby-o!!

Now you are off to see what the amazing Anita has put together for Lisa!!

I used my Cosmo Cricket Delovely paper because I erally love the colours in this pack - so fresh and pretty!

M4TW Challenge!

It's Friday woot woot!!! the weekend is almost here yay!!

Today is my oldest darling daughter's birthday - Happy Birthday Marcie - love you! and I even made a card for her (patting myself on the back...) but I can't show you until I give it to her because she reads my blog - silly girl!

Today is also M4TW challenge! That means (and yes, I had to ask because I didn't know) Makeup for the Weekend challenge with Paper Makeup Stamps!

This week your challenge is to use felt on your creation! Easy as pie or cake or buying a pie!! When you have something, link it up to the Paper Makeup blog post right here. What could be better for a weekend!!??

I used a new July release, little Felicity the Fawn for my challenge card today. She has a cute little flower attached to her on the stamp, but I snipped it off so that she could smell a felt flower...sinful but do-able...

I used Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg 6 x 6 paper pack and made little rolling hills for Felicity to wander through!

I found a Maya Road chipboard tree in my stash so I painted it up kind of funky-like and added a few leaves that I had pinched together so they would add some texture like stuff - awwww you know what I mean! lol!

The sentiment is from Cutie Critter sayings that is also part of our new July release.

Now if you want to play along in our challenge, you certainly don't have to use PMS stamps, but we'd LOVE to see them if you have them! Please remember to tag your photos with MWTW35 if you upload to any public gallery like Splitcoaststampers or Paper Craft Planet. Tag them with Paper Makeup Stamps too please!

Beauty and Kick *!#

It's my day  to review one of the stamps from the newest releases at Paper Makeup Stamps!

I am reviewing the new set called "Kiss and Makeup" - isn't that a clever name??!! and in order to really make a statement I didn't colour - again!

I chose to use RED to be bold and only coloured the lipstick and highlighted the word "red"!

I do apologize for all the shadows - I took the photo outside in the sun because the day was calling to me - yep that's it!

Have a great day!

Today I am showcasing Scentsational Perfume for you (isn't that a great name?!!) and you will certainly notice that I have no colour on my card!

These stamps are so spectacular they stand out on their own, colouring or not! I did use one of Zva Creative bling flourishes as an embellishment, but I think it just adds to the whole card!

What do you think?

Thanks for coming around and now you are on to the sensational Christi Thorsen's blog where she has the next letter for you!! yay!!

My Paper Makeup Stamps Sneak Peek Day!

If you must know I was going to entitle this post "My PMS Day" but I just couldn't do it lol!

This is my first day to post about Paper Makeup Stamps and I couldn't be more thrilled with these stamps. They are a high quality, deeply etched rubber, and when you stamp them you just go "ahhhh"!! I love it!

So, this stamp set is called Retail Therapy and some of the Makeup Artists have been given this stamp set to showcase today! This is Day 2 of the peeks, and on the Paper Makeup Stamps blog, they have peeks from the other stamp sets!

I used my Cosmo Cricket Delovely designer paper for this card - I cut out one of the sheets with the Stamping UP! Top Note die and did some zig zag sewing and straight sewing (please don't look too close lol!).

I stamped and coloured my image, and then cut it out and popped it up, along with the cute sentiment which has a bit of added bling (well, of course!!)

Take a shopping spree around to the following Makeup Artists to see the cute things they have been making!
