Spread Your Wings!

It's Wednesday, so that means welcome to another fabulous Hambo Hoedown!

This week Hambo Stamps is challenging you to CASE a card from the Hambo gallery, either a digi card or a rubber stamped card!

I fell in love with Paula Riley's altered frame and I decided to work with her creation.  I didn't use a real frame but rather made my own!

I am working with the beautiful digital image called "Dragonfly" this week - so easy to colour and to make beautiful! It comes with two sentiments and I decided to make one of the sentiments my focal point this week!

Once again, I used my beautiful 6x6 pad, Echo Park Victoria Gardens - gorgeous vintage-y  papers - just asking for flowers and glitter and dragonflies!

I coloured the dragonfly with my copics, using the technique taught to me by marvelous Suzanne Dean, integrating two different colours of the spectrum!

Then I added some pretty glitter using Diamond Stickles, cut it out and popped it up onto the frame. The die cuts are all from My Favorite Things.

Hubby and I are off to Tavistock this morning to pick up some washer/engine/farm thing-y - obviously I don't know what it is but I am going along for the ride - I think free breakfast is involved woohoo!

Smile!

Good morning! My coffee is in hand and I am writing up my post before heading to Sarnia to take my daughter to her math class!

Of course, you remember that it really isn't a Math class but more of a social building class, self-awareness with a little psychology thrown in for good measure - she loves it - and that is all that matters!

Today I have The Cat's Pajamas weekly challenge for you - this week we had to make roses out of ribbon - a great video was available for us to watch and then off we go to make our own!

Not as easy as the video - (is it ever?) - but I managed to pull it off relatively painlessly....hmph.....

I used the sweet little set - "Kick Some Grass", October Afternoon paper and a die or two!!

My Head's in the Clouds!

Good Morning!

Well, my new countertop is finally installed and it is freakin' beautiful!! A gorgeous black quartz that actually makes my kitchen look bigger - yay! One drawback - you can't see where a fly lands on black HAH!

I participated in a "The Cat's Pajamas" sketch challenge a couple of week's ago and forgot to post it - yikes!

The sketch was sketchy, if I do say so myself *snicker* but I pulled it off!

Here is the sketch

and here is my take on it!

My supply list is at the end of this post - I am trying something new to see if it goes over well. I have seen it on other blogs so I thought I would try it out.

Apparently it is just in the testing stage......so yes, I am testing it! HAH!

Well, I am off to a fashion show today with my mom.   She is taking me out for lunch and while we eat, we watch models with their outfits strutting - sounds like fun!

Operation Write Home with Hambo Stamps!

It's Wednesday, so that means welcome to another fabulous Hambo Hoedown!

This week Hambo Stamps is partnering with Operation Write Home, and all of our creations are following guidelines there.

Of course, you can't use glitter or anything blingy - which was so tough for me - yi - but of course being the professsional that I am (cough, cough) I was able to follow the challenge!

Being as I am as old as I am, 53 yesterday, yay me! I am in love with the Beatles song  (and cartoon movie) Yellow Submarine!

I printed the digi on October Afternoon paper and made some shadows with my copic markers. The yellow submarine is diving down to live beneath the waves!

Check out what the rest of the design team has created, and read the challenge rules carefully, because if you play along according to the rules you can received next week's digi free!

In the town where I was born,
Lived a man who sailed to sea,
And he told us of his life,
In the land of submarines,

So we sailed on to the sun,
Till we found the sea green,
And we lived beneath the waves,
In our yellow submarine,

We all live in yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine,
We all live in yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine.

And our friends are all aboard,
Many more of them live next door,
And the band begins to play.

(Trumpets play)

We all live in yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine,
We all live in yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine.

(Full speed ahead, Mr. Barkley, full speed ahead!
Full speed over here, sir!
All together! All together!
Aye, aye, sir, fire!
Captain! Captain!)

As we live a life of ease(life of ease)
Every one of us(every one of us) has all we need,(has all we need)
Sky of blue,(sky of blue) and sea green,(sea of green)
In our yellow(In our yellow) submarine.(submarine) ( Haha! )

We all live in yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine,
We all live in yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine.
