Little Angel

Good Day!

I have a baby card today - our community is having a baby boom - I LOVE it! so here come the baby cards!

This is also a good opportunity to use a My Favorite Things sketch - AND to enter the Guest Designer challenge for this month!

I chose to use my MFT Baby Onesie Dienamics and Stamp Set Combo for my baby card - perfect!

I

I followed the sketch using the Dienamics Retro Squares, Dienamics Rectangle STAX Set 1 and 2, Dienamics Mini Tabs Foursome, the heart from the Dienamics Homespun Birdhouse Die, and the Dienamics Photo Corners. So many Dienamics to choose from - I love it!!

Just look at the detail on that Dienamics Onesie!

And for the inside, a little perfect placement of my Bo Bunny patterned paper makes for a nice finished look!

Why don't you try out to be the Guest Designer??! It's fun and it's a great sketch to work with!

Directions??

Good Day!

Today is Monday and that means another Totally Stampalicious Challenge!!  This week's challenge is "Anything Goes" - you KNOW you love those challenges!!

I have used "New Truck Gus" - a stamp set with a sweet image of Gus and four sentiments that will make you chuckle for sure!

I used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #166 for my layout, along with some left over papers I had on my desk - love using them up - then I don't feel like I really have to clean up my area yay!

I stamped and coloured Grumpy Gus with my copics and then highlighted the fenders and such with white highlighter marker.

Sewing is always a staple that I love so I zigzagged around the rectangle and then followed the rest of the layout as close as possible!

A lot of depth to this card - I love using my pop dots!!!

Well, make sure to enter our challenge - it's a simple one this week!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps Day Three

Good day! Are you enjoying the previews so far? Aren't they wonderful!

Today we are previewing three sets - Little Lanterns, Bright Season and Light of the World Sentiments!

My first card features Little Lanterns and Light of the World Sentiments.

I used a technique that I saw on Splitcoaststampers last week and I love how it turned out!

Using some Dye inks, I sponged them all over my white cardstock with daubers. Then, I dipped the various lantern stamps in water instead of ink and stamped all over the inked cardstock.

After it was dry, I restamped the same lanterns in the darker ink - I love the shadowy, foggy look it gives!!

I stamped the sentiment from Light of the World Sentiments, onto white cardstock, and adhered it to the background paper. And, because I am addicted to it, I added bling! Ribbon tied in a bow finished it off!

My second card is a much brighter card as you can see, in non-traditional colours and some sewing!

Using various stamps from all three releases being shown today AND one of the new Opera Tag Dies and Stamps - I created up a very bright card for your enjoyment!!

These stamps are gorgeous for Christmas and everyday alike!!

Here is a list of the other designers showcasing these new sets today!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps Previews - Day Two!

Good day and welcome to Day Two of our sneak peaks for Waltzingmouse Stamps!

We are unveiling two new stamps sets today - Opera Tags and Camellia........ and a new product! And by "product" -  I mean - we have a new product at Waltzingmouse Stamps to unveil today!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps now have their own DIES!!! Today we are showing you the first set of dies available -  Opera Tags!! - and there is a matching stamp set - I KNOW - swoon......!!Smiley from millan.net

My sister will actually keel over when I send her this card.  I never-- and I mean NEVER -- send her a card.....but she has been having a crappy time lately.....so I broke down and made this for her - thank you Opera Tags!!

Using one of the NEW Opera Tags dies, I cut out the tag and then stamped it with the matching Opera Tags Stamp Set.  The little swirl at the bottom is not part of the stamp.......

I stamped the sentiment from Compact Family on the tag and then, of course, I screwed it up so I stamped it again on a little flag and popped it up over top of the screw up - easy!- always a way to fix things!!

Here is a close up of the gorgeousness of this particular die.

The second set today is called Camellia - a gorgeous flower if I have ever seen one - and a stamp that is true Claire style - vintage and gorgeous in it's detail!

I stamped and coloured two of the Camellia flowers included in the set, cut them out and popped them up!  Then I stamped the sentiment, sponged some ink around the edges and did a bit of sewing!

Just look at the detail in that sentiment!! Gorgeousness at it's BEST!!

Here are the other designers who are showcasing their beautiful-ness today!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps August Previews - Day One!

Good Day and welcome to Day One of our August previews for Waltzingmouse Stamps! We have three days of previews coming your way with the Design Team Blog Waltz and stamp release on the 24th of August!

Today we are showcasing Vintage Garden Produce, Vintage Garden Flowers, Vintage Seed Packet and Vintage Garden Appleblossom Seeds.

My first card today (yes I have two!) features Vintage Garden Produce and Vintage Seed packet.

My red cardstock was stamped with the caning stamp bakgrounder from Heirloom Patterns.

I stamped the Vintage Seed Packet with Memento Rich Cocoa onto white cardstock. The beautiful vintage strawberry, from Vintage Garden Produce, was stamped in red, trimmed and popped up into the seed packet.

The word "Strawberry", the little "Sow early" stamp and "10c" stamp are all separate, enabling you to stamp them where you wish!

The I tied some natural twine around the top of my card and added the little trowel from the Vintage Seed Packet stamp set.

Of course, I am enamoured with bling lately - so there HAD to be bling lol!

My second set is so simple that it is almost embarrassing......but I think the effect is stunning!

I stamped the carrots from Vintage Garden Produce in Memento Tuxedo Black and then the sentiment from Compact Sentiments......easy peasy thank you notes!!

I know you could jazz it up a ton more - but quick and easy is the look that I was going for....and I got it!

The other members of our talented Design Team have some fabulous samples for you to drool over ----here is a list of who is designing today!

Too Much Coffee!

Hello! It's Monday and that means another Totally Stampalicious challenge!
Our challenge is all about a CAS card - that is Clean and Simple - yikes!!! - not my favorite but I am always up for a challenge!

I recently saw a technique, when I was surfing, that had to do with watercolouring.....so I thought that would be perfect !
This is as CAS as I get!

Using watercolor paper, I stamped Crabby Cathy , one of our new releases with Versamark and embossed her with white embossing powder.

Then, using Maya Road mists, I dipped my brush directly into the mist bottle and proceeded to dabble here and there with the colours to bring out the Crabby Cathy image.....

I punched holes in either side of my image with my Crop-a-dile and threaded some Razzleberry ribbon through the image. I used a small Maya Road crocheted flower for an embellishement along with the sentiment!

The inside is definitely CAS lol!

Thanks for coming around to visit and don't forget that you probably want to join our challenge!!....:)

Cupcakes, Good Friends and Presents!

Hello! It's Monday and that means another Totally Stampalicious challenge!
Our challenge is all about your favorite colour combinations and this week..... today....this hour....my favorite combo is anything with Kraft cardstock!

I was at a wedding shower/engagement party on Saturday and the cake was a Cupcake Cake - with the most delicious icing ever! Our friends were all there and lots of presents - so I thought this little card was especially appropriate for today!

I paired Kraft cardstock with scarlet and cream with a dash of pink and I used the sweet little birthday set called Scarlette Cupcake! - a perfect choice.

The inside is just a simple design - but fun at the same time!

The Wedding!

I told you I would post about my son's wedding and so here it is! and it is quite a long post - grab a coffee and join me won't you?

Although I have been forbidden - forbidden I tell ya, to post any wedding pictures of the couple, I still have some gorgeous creations to show you.

Since both my son and his betrothed wanted a simple and easy ceremony (thank goodness!) and are both pure naturalists, we decided that the invitations should be the same.

I printed the wording out into three columns landscape style, onto Antique Laid linen paper - it is a wee bit heavier than typewriter paper and has such a beautiful texture!

After trimming the columns I stamped the flourish from the Waltzingmouse Stamps set called "Join Us" along the bottom and then the heart from "Sweethearts" in the middle of the flourish and then again at the top of the invitation.

I did take the liberty of blocking out certain names and of course my address - I don't want everyone converging on my house - but then again - why not?!

Using Papertrey Ink's Vintage Tea Dye Duo, I lightly swiped all the edges of each invitation with the antique ink. With my Crop-a-dile, I punch holes in the top of the invitation and the Kraft cardstock underneath and then tied a twine bow at the top.

The envelope was also an Antique Laid Linen paper  I had some gold seals that I ran through the Cuttlebug with my hearts folder and then attached them to the envelopes!

We were fortunate enough not to have rain - it was a gorgeous day - but we had rented a tent with tables just in case, so of course we needed centerpieces!

I had three different sizes of mason jars in my basement from all the canning I don't do lol! ......and a ton of different paint colours in my stash (seeeee!! you DO need it!) so I started swipe-painting the jars - I decided they needed some lace and twine too and the flowers and jewels just made them perfect!

Since Keri was wearing her mother's wedding dress - she had the sleeves removed - I was able to use the sleeve material to make a little ruffled collar for Rosie the Devil Dog - although she was a gem - doesn't she look happy!! lol!

This is the arbor they were married under and I am going to sneak in a picture of the happy couple with Ron and I!!

Thank you for indulging me today!!

I've Lost my Balls.....

Hello! It's Monday and that means another Totally Stampalicious challenge!

This week, the challenge is all about Celebrating Summer and for me, the best way to celebrate summer is to play golf! - I LOVE it!

So I chose to use the stamp set called Gus Golf - and what a character he is - a few very funny sentiments are included in this set - oh my word!

.....and the inside......

Check out the challenge and join us won't you?!

WMSC #109

Woo hoo! happy Saturday - we made it through another week - Our grandchildren (ages 3 and 5) spent the night here last night and they slept in until 7:30 am woohoo! - hence the late post this morning!

It's time for another fabulous Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!  This week I am the inspiration - (who'd a thunk it!) with this sketch...

I made a very pretty card - a wedding card today, based on another creation that I cased from our very own Jeanne Jachna - this gorgeous card here!

I used Waltzingmouse Stamps Compact Sentiments for my sentiments - my "go-to" set lately!

I also used the Spellbinders compatible Very Vintage Labels No.18 for my background and my colours are white, kraft and Sweet Blush - very muted and pretty!

Thanks for coming around today!
