Howdy Pardner!!

Yep, that's what this here little cowpoke is sayin'!! Isn't he the cutest!

I don't have very many "little kid" stamps - not that this couldn't be used for other things too but - I imagine it to be for kids!!

I made this card for today's challenge and being Thursday it is the "Ways to Use It" Challenge. The challenge which is titled "Don't Hide" is here. Isn't that clever??

Today, the "It" is leather!! We had to use leather on our card....how cool is that??!!

The gallery for today's challenge is here.

I found an old leather purse in the basement, and stamped the Cowboy image on it,and cut out the chaps and vest.

Hubby clapped when I was cutting up the purse - he thinks I have too many purses! and he is probably right. What he didn't know was that I never liked this purse and I haven't used it for years!! But heck if I was going to tell him that - so now both of us are happy!

I colored the little cow-hand in copics and used my tombows for the watercoloring for the sky and grass. I don't do watercoloring very often - CAN YOU TELL??!! need a bit of practise on that one!

The designer paper (DP) is new today (yay!) and is from daisy d's and is called Maybe Baby Valentine. You can get it from Jacksonbelle Embellishments and it is the cutest 8 x 8 pack with all sorts of vintag-y paper. I love the little boys on the rocking horses, don't you?

The cowboy is Lizzie Anne Designs and I got that from Jacksonbelle Embellishments also! She has a ton 'o stuff and is so prompt with her orders. Check it out!!

The sentiment is from High Hopes Stamps and I just got that one in the mail today too! It was a GREAT mail day! The website has so many stamps and so dang cute!! Check it out - they are very fast at shipping too ---I mean, I just ordered it on Saturday - hello! - today is Thursday...in the mail Monday - get it on Thursday! In Canada, that is amazing!!

The star in the corner is from Making Memories, and is a "ready to glitter" sticker, that is, it is adherant on both sides. You stick the star where you want it, peel off the protective paper and pour glitter on top - SO EASY!!

Well, I am going to post this card onto Splitcoast Stampers gallery and then catch up on the blogs I read!!

LUCKY ME!

  4. Such a cute card! I love it. You did a wonderful job with the challenge and the stamp image! Sometimes it's hard to create something with "boy" stamps. . .and you did it fabulously!

  5. You have made so many cute cards since I last had a chance to look! You have a great eye for using the patterened papers. I love this little cowboy guy.

I store my nestibles on magnets too - I use magnet sheets. I was having a hard time keeping my sizes straight.
