Limited Supplies Challenge

Friday's challenge on Splitcoast Stampers is called Limited Supplies and this week the challenge is called "I thought we were stamping".

Exactly. No stamping. Create your card but no stamping.

Man......not so hard when I stopped hyperventilating!

I used designer paper, a flower, ribbon and a vellum quote that I have had for awhile for my card!

I love this quote " The mere sense of Living is joy enough" How true is that!!

I cut a panel of Basic Grey Sugared paper 4" x 5-1/4" and glued it on my card base of River Rock cardstock.

Then I cut another strip of Sugared paper 2" x 5-1/2" and tied some Sweet Blush Papertrey Ink twill ribbon around it. Their ribbon comes in such beautiful colours - just perfect and only $3 for a 5 yeard spool!

I glued that piece down on the card base and set it aside.

The quote is on vellum and is from My Mind's Eye. It was glued onto very vanilla cardstock and trimmed to 3" x 3-1/2" and popped up onto the card with pop up dots - luv 'em!!

Then I adhered a button to the prima flower with a glue dot and then another glue dot was used to glue it onto the top right corner of the card.

To finish it off I highlighted the word "joy" - and why not!! with a copic marker.

I went and bought Mother's Day flowers today to go with the set of cards that I am giving to My mom and hubby's mom. My son works there so I had to go and see him in action!!

How wonderful to go into the greenhouse and see such gorgeous colours of thumbergia and impatiens and the verbena smells just divine!! Along with that they are using bio-degradable pots so no more little green plastic pots blowing all over the place and me running around trying to gather them up (or out of the dogs mouth!!)
