You're the Champ!!

Happy Saturday morning! and it is the inspiration challenge today on Splitcoast Stampers!! I love the colours so I chose them to be inspired in my card today

I am using one of AmyR's sketches from back a few weeks ago, but I did change it up a bit because I didn't think that the basketball would be good on an oval shape :)

I stamped the basketball in brilliance black and then coloured and shaded it with copics.

The sentiment is from the same fun stamp set called You're a Champ from Simon Says Stamp - kind of a funky set with volleyballs, and baseballs, and bowling pins and trophies - all kinds of neat-o "schtuff"!

I stamped the trophy in brilliance crimson copper ink onto some notecard that Simon Says Stamp sent me and then glued the black paper on. It has been embossed with the numbers Cuttlebug folder and the corners rounded.

I added some American elements ribbon that I have had for, well, for awhile and a couple of star buttons with twine tied to them.

I added a bit of faux stitching around the edges, which I would have done first with real stitching-- but I didn't think of it until later!

I have a huge container of clear embellishments and this little crown is one of them, so I tucked it into the clip - kind of cute!

I stamped the trophy again in brilliance crimson copper onto the envelope and it is ready to be sent to the basketball champ!! YAY!!

Oh my goodness, we went to see my little preemie great-nephew and I am in LUV!! Tubes and wires and everything - and he is still the second most beautiful boy baby EVER!! (Jake is the first, of course...)

Pray, pray, pray.....

  1. I'm prayin! Congrats on your new sweet nephew. My DH was a preemie and his Mom tells the sweetest stories about how it has given him great determination in everything he does. :0) (He's so tall now that it's hard to believe he ever fit just in the palm of his Dad's hand!) LOVE your card. That basket ball looks 3D--Amazing colouring & great details. :0)
