Basic Grey Friday Challenge 3

Good morning everyone!! I can't believe Embellish-It Scrapbooking is on it's third Friday Challenge already - is time flying by?? - well, I think so!!

This week Suzy presented her challenge, to use Basic Grey paper and cut out a design that is already in the paper to make your card!

Of course, I was still stuck on last week's challenge to paper piece, so I made the Retro Boutique dress from the above post! When I re-read the challenge and realized that wasn't quite what she was looking for, I freaked re-grouped, and made another card! (Actually, Suzy certainly didn't kick up any fuss at all - she just wants everyone to have fun!!)

I really can't believe how fast this came together! A bit of cutting and pasting and VOILA!! - I think it turned out quite pretty!

My cardstock base is Paprika and I just glued Basic Grey Stella Ruby designer paper on the base and added some Berry Sorbet ribbon which is an amazing match!!

I cut out the flowers from one of the Stella Ruby papers, which has the most amazing floral designs in such deep rich colours!!

I popped up my cut out design onto the card with some dimensional pop up glue dots.

That blue flower in the design really came to life when I added the three adhesive crystals and the butterfly die cut!!

Did you notice the bling on the butterfly? Just a fun little embellishment to make her feel glamorous!!! heh heh.......

The sentiment is from Silhouette Blooms II, a Kim Hughes stamp set available at Cornish Heritage Farms. I really don't use this set enough, but the sentiment fit in there perfectly!

Buzz on over to Embellish-It Scrapbooking and check it out!! Try out our Friday Challenge this week and have fun!!
