Rock Star Sneak Peak!!

Welcome to the beginning of the preview's of Little Paper Shop's next set of releases on the 26th of August!!

This set shown today from all the design team is called Rock Star and is so perfect for the musician or teenager in your life! You know how hard it is to make a card for a teen!!

I dug out the glitter for this Rock Star card, as you can see, and glittered up a Maya Road swirl, a sticky star from Jodi's sticky sale, and I even added Stickles Cinnamon glitter glue to the swirls!!

The designer paper is Crate paper from the Static collection and I bought it because it has skulls and a cool retro design on it and I thought it would go so great with this stamp set!! I sewed it onto my Chocolate Chip cardstock base and set it aside.

I cut out a piece of Kraft paper with my NEW Martha Stewart zigzag punch!! I detest Walmart,.....but now they carry Martha.....I go in, scoop up Martha and out (well, I do pay first ......)

I stamped the music note stamp along the edge of the zigzag and then I took that funky Happy Birthday stamp and stamped under the music notes.

I stamped the guitar and the Rock Star on Stampin' UP! Very Vanilla and then distressed the image by running the scissors along the edges of the image and then sponging with Papertrey Ink dark chocolate ink.

I added it to some chocolate chip cardstock, kind of on a willy-nilly slant and then did a bit of zigzag sewing here and there for a bit of interest!

I would have used my Heidi Swapp distressing tool to distress the edges, but it is buried beneath a pile of stuff on my desk that looks like Colour World barfed all over it......in a nice way.......

All ink used was Papertrey Ink Dark chocolate and all stamps used are from this Rock Star set, and there are a couple of more included, including a skull, which I might have a card of later on, if I can get out of gathering eggs!! -*crossing fingers*

All stamp set previewed this week are available at the Little Paper Shop on the 26th of August!!

I would like to officially welcome Dawn Easton to our team - she was on Guest Designer status and has graciously agreed to stay on!! Wahoo!!
